SUCKING BLOOD OUT OF A TURNIP

Do you wonder or ask yourself, what exactly is it that Obama loves so much about unions? The guy has never manufactured a widget or participated in any type of free market business in his entire life. He hasn't worked the line at Ford. He hasn't been chopping chickens in a chicken factory. He hasn't so much as worked as a clerk in a store. So what is this adherence to unions? Where is the credibility? Doesn't it strike you as odd that an academic in a suit, coming out of Acorn's mafia organization, steps out there and beats the drum for "the workers of the world?" When you think of union thugs, who comes to mind? Jimmy Hoffa? The President of the United States as Jimmy Hoffa? Now there's a visual.

So here is the answer to the conundrum of Obama's big love affair with unions. The public sector unions are now bigger than any other union force in the country. Government unions have taken over where the private sector unions left off. All union contributions amounted to somewhere around $400,000,000 given to Democrats in the 2008 election cycle. When government and unions marry, who gets the screws? Private sector industry and taxpayers, that's who.

For the first time in American history, a majority of union members are government workers rather than private-sector employees, the Bureau of Labor Statistics announced on Friday.

Private-sector unions strive to elect their management, which in turn can extract money from taxpayers to increase wages and benefits - and can promise pensions that future taxpayers will have to find."

If you think about the states who are going bankrupt faster than you can say "bankrupt," you can find the culprit of public-sector unions who are sucking the life blood out of the private-sector. Teachers unions, prison worker unions, transportation workers unions, etc. etc. are all soaking the states for not just higher than private-sector salaries, but for benefits and retirements that only Al Capone could dream of. Now that the private-sector in America is going down the tubes, Obama is in the business of sucking what is left out of the turnip, taxing everyone else to redistribute our money to unions. Or giving tax breaks to unions while the rest of us find our wallets bleeding.

The turnip is dry already...so what does Obama do? Borrow money from China and elsewhere and create a debtor nation for our children and grand-children. Nevermind the deficits and the national debt....let's just screw the producers and their kids so the government will have to take over everything and put everyone in the "government workers union." Obama mentioned a "Bolshevik plot" last week....as if it was some ridiculous conspiracy. Sorry Obama....it isn't ridiculous nor conspiratorial to see the deliberate destruction of American solvency, economic freedom, and the dark days of Soviet Socialism descending upon the "Shining city on a hill."
