CFACT heads to Rio+20 to expose UN “sustainability” ploy
Reporting here:
CFACT is headed to Brazil to expose these dreadful, potentially
devastating policy proposals – and inject some much needed common sense
and attention to people’s needs into the deliberations.
CFACT’s team arrives in Rio June 12. Our delegation will cover the UN
organizing meeting in Rio, June 13-15, send part of its delegation to
the ICLEI/Agenda 21 World Congress in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, June 14-17
– and regroup for the Rio+20 summit, June 20-22.
CFACT’s team will feature Marc Morano, creator of CFACT’s
award-winning ClimateDepot.com, Lord Christopher Monckton, and CFACT
president David Rothbard, executive director Craig Rucker, senior policy
advisor Paul Driessen and our hard-working staff. Bios and photos are
available at CFACT.tv.
“We are going to shout a wake-up call,” said Rucker, “loud and clear.
People need to know just how radical and destructive the agenda that’s
being promoted for Rio+20 would actually be.”
Reporters seeking first-hand insight into the Rio+20 negotiations or
looking to balance their reporting with solid facts to counter radical
Rio pronouncements should look to CFACT. Our featured commentators are
well known for cogent, insightful, informative and witty analysis that
will add solid value to any account of Rio+20. CFACT’s delegation is
available to all media.
“There is danger brewing in Rio that has not been adequately
covered,” Rothbard said. “There is also a tragic likelihood that an
historic opportunity will go to waste – a chance to wake up and change
direction. Freedom, prosperity, science and technology – what we like
to call ‘constructive sustainability’ – is the only genuine path to achieve all that is best for our planet and people too.”
This is very good news. Thanks for the link to CFACTS. I have bookmarked it. I hope their voice is heard loud and clear in Rio. These UN environmentalist are dangerous and corrupt people.
ReplyDeleteIt is good, Jim! CFACT is one of the great groups of scientists who are on the warpath for the sake of truth. They, Climate Depot, and Anthony Watts at Watts Up With That are all doing fantastic work. I admire them very much! Monckton has been awesome, too!! Glad you good use the link!
ReplyDeleteCFACT very generously provided me with a part-time position as their media contact during their visit to Rio+20, as I noted at the end of my guest blog at Steve Milloy's JunkScience site: "Rio+20 sustainability conference: trusts countries after all, but ignores squirrels" http://junkscience.com/2012/06/14/rio20-sustainability-conference-trusts-countries-after-all-but-ignores-squirrels/#more-24945
ReplyDeleteOne very good question to ask is how such environmentalism efforts - on global warming in particular - have lasted so long. In my American Thinker article on June 18th, I did my best to describe how this happened.... and how we can put a stake through its heart. Please see "Global Warming's Killer: Critical Thinking" http://www.americanthinker.com/2012/06/global_warmings_killer_critical_thinking.html
Read your post at American Thinker...and kudos to you for your friendship with CFACT and Junk Science. Great sites and two others I frequent are Anthony Watts site and Climate Depot. These are invaluable resources from so invaluable people. I only wish the "facts" would dissuade the public from the propaganda...and I still hope so. Keep up the great work, Russell! And thanks for stopping by!!
ReplyDeleteBoth Anthony Watts and Marc Morano at ClimateDepot have also been very kind to me, see "The End is Near for Faith in AGW" http://wattsupwiththat.com/2011/06/25/the-end-is-near-for-faith-in-agw/ and "Smearing Skeptic Scientists: What did Gore know and when did he know it?" http://www.climatedepot.com/a/11168/Climate-Depot-Exclusive-Smearing-Skeptic-Scientists-What-did-Gore-know-and-when-did-he-know-it
ReplyDeleteI'm just an ordinary guy who ran headlong into problems with the smear of skeptic climate scientists when I did my own due diligence about the whole issue. Now I do everything I can to tell that story, but so far have failed to snag the attention of the biggest voices of all, Fox News, Limbaugh, Beck & such. Lousy luck on my part, perhaps, but I'll still keep at it. Knowledge is power and networking is priceless.
Actually, I think Beck has at least skimmed the issue in his Agenda 21 exposés. There is a talk radio guy who discusses the Smart Growth regulation insanity and is definitely on our side on this. Jason Lewis is his name, if you haven't heard of him. You might look him up. I think Fox is an iffy proposition lately. They only allow so much truth to get through and they are always doing the "both sides of the argument" thing. Would love for Limbaugh to take this on in a big way, but with the other election and legislative issues, he may think this is a back burner for now. I have to say it is really difficult to articulate how devastating these lies are to our lives....mostly because once someone says "we are killing the polar bears" people go all squishy and get sucked in hook, line, and sinker. For some reason, people don't want to grasp that "we are not killing the polar bears" and not destroying the earth. It's the collective guilt of the environmentalist religion we are fighting. Stay after it...I'm not giving up.
ReplyDeleteYes, exchanged emails with Jason Lewis a couple of years ago, nice fellow.
ReplyDeleteSo hard to analyze the 'hate humankind/ hate America' crowd and what puts them in that mindset. By way of example, this isn't the headline item I saw recently, (there's some other variation out there that's much more famous) but would you believe some kid made this "The earth got humans disease " YouTube video as a science project??? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e31NXKxyPKI
Russell, my late brother unfortunately bought into all of the leftist ideologies, especially the environmentalist lies. He would flat out say he was a pimple on the face of the earth. It was as if someone convinced him the only valid emotion was guilt based on being alive. Indoctrination and cult behavior is hard to fight against. I think that is the saddest part of all of this. We just have to try to stop the madness. Keep going! The truth will prevail in the end. Or as my Christian friends remind me, we know how the story ends. All you and I can do it sound the alarms!
ReplyDeleteCheryl, very sorry to hear about your late brother's viewpoint. Trust me on this, I have relatives having much the same viewpoint. And trust me on this, I will continue doing what I do to the best of my abilities.
