Don't Just Take My Word For It!

In trying to bring to this blog the most helpful information for you to absorb, I place not just my opinions, but opinions and facts from others whom I respect. I am including in today's post a letter from a doctor / friend who has written a very sincere letter to share his concerns over Obama's plans for a health care take-over of our lives. This doctor / friend is not just any old fellow of letters....John Rosemond is a psychologist, an author of books, a syndicated columnist, a sought after speaker, a husband, a father, and a grandfather....and a musician on occasions.

Having read his columns for years, and upon occasion stumbled across him at either the grocery or a local restaurant, we have come to know each other recently through the cause of preserving our country for our children and their children. I respect his opinions.

I know John carefully phrased his words to explain how dire the situation is and to frame his argument as diplomatically as possible. He and I are both of the same thoughts when facing Marxists who wish to deliberately and methodically take charge of our very lives. I appreciate his letter and he has allowed me to share it with you. In it he references Ms. Betsy McCaughey, chairman of the Committee to Reduce Infection Deaths and former Lt. Governor of New York State. I will provide a link to her report at the end of John's letter below.

John's letter:

"ladies and gentlemen, friends and acquaintances, liberals, conservatives, independents, and those of you who fit none of the above categories...

i am alarmed...more than alarmed, in fact, but alarmed will do for now...at the obama administration's...including his colleagues in the house and senate...determination to overhaul america's health care system. they seem determined to take a system that needs some fixing, which could be significantly done through tort reform, which is not part of the plan (for reasons having undoubtedly to do with the fact that trial lawyers overwhelmingly vote democrat), and break it, and then impose a system built on the ideal socialist model, which is to say, a system that values the interests of the state over the interests of the individual.

both the declaration and the constitution affirm that the state is subordinate to the people. within the democrat health care model, the people are subordinate to the state. much has been written about "death panels," "involuntary euthanasia," and the like, all of which has provoked defensive outrage from the left of the aisle as well as the president himself.

i believe america hangs in the balance. i believe obama is a sincere individual, but he is seriously misguided, and he is seriously underqualified for the position he now holds. he has no business, for example, being in charge of our nation's defense. as for his health care plan, he obfuscates, he spins, he charms. he does everything but tell the truth to the american people.

the article below is from the wall street journal. it is well-researched and well-written. it appeals to the brain, not the emotions, but it will provoke an emotional reaction. it certainly did with me. i think it's the face of things to come, if we give this man and his colleagues their way with us.

you will read that dr. emanuel, obama's closest health care advisor, believes the hippocratic oath to be outdated. that would be the statist position, since the oath holds that the individual's interests should dictate medical treatment. you will read that dr. emanuel holds that health care is a "scarce" resource that should be apportioned according to an individual's value to society. "scarce" is the operative word in mr. emanuel's argument. if the supposed scarcity of a resource is reason enough for unequal rationing based on an individual's calculated value to society (i.e. the state), then the same argument could be made concerning food. if the government succeeds at taking control of our health care system, then it is capable of taking control of our food distribution system, in which case it is reasonable to foresee that more food stamps would be allotted to my 40 year old son than to 62 year old me, even though we are the same weight.

dr. emanuel's statements speak for themselves. obama and the dems will complain that they are taken out of context. most americans won't read them, so many americans will believe what they are told to believe. please read, and please draw your own conclusions. personally, i fail to see how anyone with a functional brain and an intelligence quotient above 90 could conclude anything other than that george orwell's prophecies, while he may have been hasty, are almost upon us.

if you think i'm a mean-spirited right-wing nut job who can't stand it that a black man occupies the white house, so be it. in which case, just send me an email requesting that you be taken off this list.

if you think everyone needs to be alerted as to obama's real purposes, then send this along to as many people as you can.

God help us all. but first, let's help ourselves."

Truth from Pravda!

Oh, the irony! To find a Russian columnist who has more honesty than all of the Western mainstream media and the guts to tell the truth. And not only that, but publish it in Pravda. I am astounded and amazed. I am also somehow comforted to know that there are some very smart people in the world who see what is going on here and not afraid to say it.

MUST READ: Mat Rodin's Amazing Truth in Pravda I have also placed a link on the right to Mat's blog for more insights from this very astute writer. I thank him for sharing his views and his research with the world.

Aside: I've not been writing or painting for the past two weeks because of the work involved in placing my Dad into assisted living and closing out his apartment. Those of you who have been through this know what it takes. He is 91plus, a WWII vet, and getting very fragile physically. Mentally he is very "with it," and for that we are grateful. Plus, I have had the immeasurable help from my dearest husband and my daughter! So thankful to them!! I am hoping that as this week goes and he gets settled in, I will have more of my own time back for painting and writing. Meanwhile, keep up the good fight, read Mat's writings, and try not to give up on our dear country. We have to keep talking and letting people know we are not sitting here twiddling our thumbs while Rome burns..(I can't play a fiddle or I would have said,"fiddling!") :-) Stay tuned!!

Remembering the SDS or, How I got Tear Gassed in 1970

I'm going to take a walk back in time....my time, my life, my history. Maybe it will mean something to some of you. Maybe it will shake up some epiphany in some younger minds. I hope so.

Dateline: Columbus, Ohio 1970
Springtime

I was 21, living with six other young women in a large, old, brick house just off campus. I was working at Ohio State University Hospital and fresh out of small town life. I worked as a "ward clerk," which, at that time, was a secretarial position that involved assisting the nurses and doctors at the nurses' station, transcribing Dr.'s orders to patients files and coordinating the hospital services for the patients. Columbus was "the big city" to me. I didn't have a car, so I walked to and from work each day. I was dating my future husband at the time. He was fresh out of college and waiting for his Air Force assignment after getting through on a ROTC scholarship. He had about two months to wait and no where to go in the interim, so he stayed at the house with us. Waiting to see what the military was going to do with him. Off to war or not. We didn't know.

The Vietnam War was a total mess. Richard Nixon had been elected the year before and had run on a platform of getting us out of Vietnam. I remember a song I loved from those days. It was a Buffalo Springfield song called, "Something's Happening Here."

"There's something happening here.
What it is ain't exactly clear.
There's a man with a gun over there,
Telling me I got to beware.
I think it's time we stop, children, what's that sound?
Everybody look what's going down.

There's battle lines being drawn.
Nobody's right if everybody's wrong.
Young people speaking their minds,
Getting so much resistance from behind.
It's time we stop, hey, what's that sound?
Everybody look what's going down.

What a field day for the heat.
A thousand people in the street,
Singing songs and carrying signs,
Mostly say, “Hooray for our side.”
It's time we stop, hey, what's that sound?
Everybody look what's going down.

Paranoia strikes deep:
Into your life it will creep.
It starts when you're always afraid.
You step out of line, the man come and take you away."

I still love that song......but it strikes chills into my heart now because of the days I remember.

Columbus is about 40 miles from Kent State. I had one friend who was going to college there. Other than that, I didn't have much of a connection and didn't have much reference for the college there. Every day for over a year, by this time, the news was constantly full of horrific pictures of college students all over the country rioting and causing havoc in the streets against anything and everything that was normal or civil. These riots were instigated by a group called "Students for a Democratic Society," otherwise known as SDS. In case you haven't heard, Bill Ayers who is Obama's Chicago buddy, was a founder of SDS.

If you have never heard of SDS before now, you are young, or unaware of this history. Here is a snippet about them:

" Many key SDS members were "red-diaper babies," children of parents who were Communist Party members or Communist activists in the 1930s. In 1966, when President Lyndon Johnson abolished student draft deferments, some 300 new SDS chapters were formed. Among the organization's activities were: disrupting ROTC classes, staging draft card burnings, and harassing campus recruiters for the CIA and for firms that conducted research tied in some way to national defense. SDS also occupied buildings at universities such as Columbia and destroyed draft records."

Monday, May 4: There we were, just going about our everyday youthful existence, getting through life, when I had my first and only brush with SDS activists. It was a beautiful spring day. I got off work at 3:00pm and started walking across a green area on my way home, wearing my little white hospital uniform with my little white tennis shoes. Ahead in the street was a crowd of students yelling, throwing rocks, carrying bats and pipes. There in front of me was the SDS, violently wrecking cars and yelling at people with a small group of police trying to control the riot. The SDS activists were hitting the cops. The cops were outnumbered. The cops were doing their best to restrain them. I kept walking, fast, not toward them, trying to make my way home....but just far enough away that I could see and hear what was going on. The next thing I knew, the breeze came my way with a full blast of tear gas. Shocked, I had no idea what it was or what had hit me. My eyes started burning and tearing up, my throat was burning, I choked and coughed, and, believe me...I took off as fast as I could to get the heck home and out of there. I could hardly see my way home, but I did get there. It took quite a while for the tear gas to wear off. I was totally incredulous at what I had witnessed and experienced.

That night we watched the news about what had happened at Kent State the very same day. We wondered how innocent people could have been shot on that campus. The students who were killed were not involved in the SDS protest, but were bystanders. I remember thinking it could have just as easily happened to me. A stray bullet could have come my way if I had been at Kent State. I had seen first hand what the SDS (Bill Ayer's group of citizen thugs) was doing to our colleges and how dangerous they were. Witnessing that kind of violence and getting tear gassed on your way home from work is not the sort of thing you ever forget. Dead students at Kent State is not the sort of thing you ever forget either.

Later when we went to bed, we lay there listening to the radio. There were helicopters flying over us all night long with their spotlights shining down into the streets to try to keep the peace. The song I remember playing on the radio that night was not the Buffalo Springfield song, but it was Simon and Garfunkel's "Bridge Over Troubled Waters." I still can't hear that song without a lump in my throat and feeling overwhelming sadness.

As time went on and as we got out of Vietnam, the SDS lost its appeal on college campuses. I think the Kent State shootings made people realize the group was fringe, radical, dangerous, and fewer students were interested in their violent activities. This left Bill Ayer's and his radical buddies no where to go but underground. And that is exactly where they went. They created a new group of incendiary criminals, The Weather Underground, who planned and carried out bombings of government buildings and were responsible for a lot of fear and pain in our country.

More than just your average Socialists / Marxists in American Government

I continue to dig beyond the baseline of media information. Fortunately the rats and termites are leaving their residue all over the internet. This makes them easy to find. Their stated goals and successes thereof are all over the place. They like to brag. I am happy to report though that I am finding a lot of other people are onto the infestation and have been for some time. I am late for the party, but catching up
quickly.

So the question I have been asking is, "how are these Socialists getting the American Congress to implement their policies?" Answer: Socialists have infiltrated the American Congress and Government Agencies. REAL Socialists. And proud of it. No we are not just imagining this. Wishing it could be just the fictional imaginings of a worried American Mom, I honestly had no idea of the infiltration of these people into our government. The questions I had asked for years were more like....how can sane people suggest such horrible laws? And what the devil are these idiots doing? How can they be so stupid? Turns out they are insane, devilish, and insanely stupid. They are also political predators. Predators are nothing to sneeze at folks. You don't mess with rats and termites, you just kill them. So now I know it....and now I can only wonder at how we are going to rid ourselves of this scourge. Not a murderous sort of person here, but I do think we need some Constitutional lawyers and some trials for treason, and some public hangings to make the point. Too bad I am not likely to see that....however, I stick with the Constitutional lawyers part. And the lawsuits should begin tomorrow. I'm missing McCarthy at this point.

Below:
1. The definitions of Socialism and Communism
2. The list of known Socialists in our Congress
3. Some Articles on the Socialists and who they are with regard to the United States.

A. "Socialism" is 3:

1. a political system in which production and distribution of goods are controlled by 'the people' according to 'equity and fairness' rather than market principles;
2. a Socialist political movement, typically advocating the end to private property ownership and exploitation of workers;
3. a Marxist system in which pay and benefits are distributed according to 'need' rather than according to work done; and
4. the intermediate Proletarian Revolution phase as society changes from Capitalism to Communism.

Socialism's end game is Communism. Communism is the opposite of our Republican form of national government. Communism requires abandoning Constitutionally-protected rights of individual American Citizens for the "common good" of collective society.

See: Socialism, by Ludwig von Mises. (The complete online version of the book by Ludwig von Mises. "The book is one of the most famous analysis and criticism of socialism, including all varieties of socialism and its economic, cultural and social aspects."); see also: Chart of U.S. Socialist History, 1900-1990, taken from Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) website (originally posted in FR by TaRaRaBoomDeAyGoreLostToday!); see also: www.marxists.org Encyclopedia of Marxism.

B. The Communist Manifesto demands the following:

1. end of private property ownership (Implemented);
2. progressive and heavy taxation (Implemented);
3. end of inheritance rights (Implemented through heavy taxation);
4. government confiscation of property of emigrants and rebels (Implemented);
5. a national central bank (Implemented);
6. government control of transportation and communication (Implemented);
7. government ownership of factories and agriculture;
8. government control of labor;
9. corporate mega-farms to replace family farms (Implemented to a large degree);
10. regional planning (Implemented); and
11. government control of education (Implemented).
