A LETTER FROM AN OPPOSING VIEW

This must be a week for letters.  Today I received an email from a fellow who read one of my posts (2009) that was republished at Freedom Outpost recently.   The subject was Obamacare and health insurance, but I think he landed on it because he refers to my quotes from Ayn Rand as well.  For the sake of revealing how someone of Socialist ideology thinks, I thought it might be educational to post his email and my response to it for you.  If you wish to see the original post, you can go here: My Tea Party Chronicle

His email:
Ms. Pass:

Having read your blog about Ayn Rand and the execrable parasites known as health insurance companies, I would appreciate it if you would kindly explain why we should mourn their demise.

The good capitalist steals the best ideas of competitors, and the rest of the world has proven beyond cavil that socialized health care is more efficient than our bloated system, producing equivalent outcomes for a third of the cost.  Why is this such a bad thing? What value do these bureaucratic behemoths add?

The short definition of a modern Republican is a man who is more faithful to his dogma than his wife.  I would counter with a line from one of my other favorite atheist authors, Isaac Asimov: "Never let your sense of morals prevent you from doing what is right."

Regards, Dissenter

My reply:
Dissenter,
The piece re: Ayn Rand that you have just seen was republished recently by Freedom Outpost.  I am assuming that is where you saw it.

From the tenor of your comments I am sure your question is not an honest one. From what you say in your email, your mind is made up and you have demonized not only insurance companies, but capitalism and Republicans as a monolithic group. Nevertheless, I will give you my best answers if you will take the time to read and study this issue.

Your statement here for instance: "The short definition of a modern Republican is a man who is more faithful to his dogma than his wife."
To which I would ask you if the same applies to FDR, Kennedy, and Clinton...each Democrats with mistresses and peccadilloes.

You ask me to defend the insurance industry and then you proceed to defend socialism, which is responsible for the direct and indirect murders of millions of people throughout its history.  Efficiency in killing people would be attributable to the purveyors of totalitarian control, not capitalism.  Do you really need proof of this?  If so, I will give you documentation to read.

The concept of the insurance industry is the creation of a "risk pool."  Replacing the private insurance industry with socialized insurance by government is, nonetheless, a "risk pool." Whether or not you agree with a third-party payer system, you must decide if you wish the force of the government to control your healthcare providers or whether you would rather choose your own insurance and healthcare providers.  Private insurance by choice? Or government insurance by force?  I can only conclude from your email, your response is that you think force is better than choice.

You ask this: "What value do these bureaucratic behemoths add?"
If bureaucracy is your objection, replacing one bureaucracy with an even larger, less personal, government bureaucracy cannot be your solution.  In what universe does that make any logical sense?

As to this statement: "the rest of the world has proven beyond cavil that socialized health care is more efficient than our bloated system, producing equivalent outcomes for a third of the cost."
I'm assuming from that you must have been locked in a room watching Michael Moore's movie "Sicko" in a repeating loop ad infinitum for you to say such a thing. A different question to ask yourself would be: Why do socialist government officials not have to live under the same health care laws that they have put in place for everyone else? If Obamacare is so great, why have our politicians exempted themselves from it?

To answer this presumption of yours, I refer you to several links which I hope you will take the time to read. The first one is regarding Ezekiel Emanuel, White House health care policy advisor to Barack Obama and author of much of Obamacare.

Below is an example of Canada's Socialized Health Care which you say is "more efficient?"
The typical wait for hip surgery in Canada is 14 months.
In Canada’s Province of Quebec, patients in need of a 30 minute procedure to cure urinary tract infections are on a three year waiting list!
Children with significant hearing problems are denied access to cochlear implants.
Arthritis treatment in the United Kingdom has a waiting period of up to nine months.  Also in the UK, a 22 year old man just passed away because the government refused to allow him to receive a liver transplant.
Patients across the spectrum are denied access to thousands of necessary medications, which are deemed “too costly” or “unnecessary” by non-doctor bureaucrats.

In closing:  Prior to Lyndon Johnson's Great Society, the medical industry was providing adequate and accessible health care to all and at reasonable costs.  Insurance was a catastrophic safety net, while normal health care was an out of pocket expense, affordable to most all Americans.  Pro-bono work by hospitals and doctors took up the rest for the needy.  Churches and community charities took care of those who could not pay.  After Lyndon Johnson involved the government as a third party to the elderly and the poor, the entire situation devolved into a more corrupt money grab.....which tells you exactly what government intervention does to pulverize reason and sanity, care and due diligence, compassion and charity.

Americans have been blessed with the best health care in the world which is now going to be degraded into the lowest common denominators due to socialism by those who think government is the answer, not the problem.  I take the opposite view because I have lived through the success of a substantial amount of freedom.  Moving toward totalitarian control over our every personal decision is not going to bring prosperity and happiness ....or good health care...to anyone but the political elitists who eliminate the inferior outcomes of socialism from their own lives.  In case you haven't noticed, they vote the best for themselves and the least for the society they govern.  Not much different from the monarchical rulers of the past, eh?

So, Dissenter, march along to your masters' drum beat.  You contacted me with questions and statements.  I hope you understand why I took the time to answer you.

Sincerely,
Cheryl Pass

P.S. I notice you quoted Isaac Asimov.  I'm sorry to say your favorite "atheist,"  also a Fabian Socialist, would only view you as a "useful idiot."  If you are trying to equate Ayn Rand with him and with Socialism due to atheism, that would be a canard.  Rand lived in and saw the horrors of Socialism and hence decided to warn Americans of the possible harm that ideology would bring upon us.

KNOW THY ENEMY - OBAMACARE FINING HOSPITALS

I opened the newspaper today to read an AP report:

"As of Monday, Medicare will start fining hospitals that have too many patients re-admitted within 30 days of discharge due to complications."

The article goes on to say:

"About two-thirds of the hospitals serving Medicare patients, or some 2,000 facilities will be hit with penalties averaging around $125,000 per facility this coming year, according to government estimates."

According to AP:

"The penalties are part of a broader push under President Barack Obama's health care law to improve quality while also trying to save taxpayers money."

"Improve quality while trying to save taxpayers money?"  Who is AP fooling?  You better have a good supplemental insurance policy folks, because hospitals will not be financially able to admit you on a second health episode within 30 days if you are on Medicare.  That is assuming the hospital you go to will allow you to just use your supplemental.  And that your supplemental will be allowed to cover whatever the need is under the Obamacare rules.  And that the hospital will even take a chance on admitting you at all.

So who is pushing granny off the cliff in a wheelchair?  Do you think it is Paul Ryan?  Obama claims he is "saving Medicare?"  Sure.  Saving it by fining hospitals or forcing hospitals to not allow a re-admittance for the elderly?

What is the hospital supposed to say to patients?  "Oh, sorry."  "We can't let you in our hospital because ....because....well....hmmm....because Lyndon Baines Johnson set up a socialist program that ruined medical care in this country...and oh, by the way, Obama won't let us take care of you because Johnson's program is another failed socialist program."

This is all very nice since the Federal government requires you to sign up for Medicare at age 65.  You don't sign up, they take your first born child or some disastrous such penalty will be paid.  So they force you into a system you may not want in the first place, and then you are facing the mercy (lack thereof) of the Federal government punishing your hospital for taking care of you.  How does that work, folks?

Let's say you are 70 yrs. old and admitted for surgery.  They send you home.  15 days later you are battling an infection from the surgery, because you are 70 yrs. old and your immune system is just not quite as great as it used to be.  Let's say your mom is 80 yrs. old and comes down with pneumonia.  They treat her at the emergency room for breathing difficulties and send her home.  A week later the pneumonia is not cleared up and she relapses.  She needs more care.  Hmmmm.....what do you think the hospital will say?  Sorry, lady, Obama won't let you back into this hospital?  There are any number of scenarios you can imagine with this.  The bottom line is that Obama has decided the elderly are not worth the care under Medicare.

In case you missed it, please go look up Ezekial Emanuel's book, "The Complete Lives System."   (Yes, that is Rahm's charming brother who advises less or no care for the very young and the elderly.)  Ezekiel Emanuel wrote a large part of Obamacare.   Below is a chart showing Emanuel's level of spending per age of patient.  And look what happens as the patient arrives at 60 yrs. of age.

[mccaughey]
Quoting the article:  "Dr. Emanuel concedes that his plan appears to discriminate against older people, but he explains: "Unlike allocation by sex or race, allocation by age is not invidious discrimination. . . . Treating 65 year olds differently because of stereotypes or falsehoods would be ageist; treating them differently because they have already had more life-years is not."

What did he just say?  What planet are we on?

We are being ruled by evil in the United States of America.  Lying evil.   And to those former friends of mine who voted for this evil....good luck with your parents and yourselves when you need hospital care.  You asked for it.  You got it.  Pure evil.  The only thing I wish is that each of you would pack your bags and move right now, immediately, to socialist Europe where you belong.

HOW GOVERNMENT HEALTHCARE MAKES YOU POOR -HOW MEDICARE MADE US WORSE OFF

If you are young, you might not understand the comparison I'm about to present. But, if you are young, you are already paying the price of communism in healthcare, whether you know it or not. Below is my simplistic explanation of how Americans are paying three times more for healthcare because of Medicare. Socialism ruins everything. Just wait as Obamacare gets implemented.

In the early 1960's, before the federal government inserted itself into our healthcare. Doctors were considered middle class or upper middle class, depending upon their specialties. Surgeons made more than general practitioners, for instance. Doctors were not in the stratosphere of income levels as they are today.

In my life up until then, I remember no one being denied healthcare. Health insurance for a family of four was under $50.00 per month, on the high side. Ours was $35.00. Most Dr.s visits were $15.00 to $20.00. And people didn't go to the doctor for every little hangnail, but went to the doctor for necessary treatments. Families took care of each other and their elderly relatives, and when medical care was needed it was usually affordable, barring some really long and dreadful circumstance. If the long and dreadful circumstance occurred, there were nets in place for the indigent to be cared for. The patient paid. Or the family paid. And if funds were depleted, local or state facilities were available. It is true that a long term disastrous health situation could financially hurt quite a lot. Families, churches, and charities stepped in and helped. In a smaller group of indigent patients with no support, the local and state tax supported hospitals took over.

Obviously, in any population some tragedies occur when it comes to health issues. Health insurance in those days was affordable and covered most all contingencies. People could cope. And they did. For the most part, we grew up knowing we could manage. That is how I remember it.

Enter Lyndon B. Johnson with his socialist "Great Society" schemes. Enacted in 1965, Johnson expanded the Social Security Administration to include healthcare for the elderly, adding the new Medicare program. The impact of this, as with most government socialist programs, came gradually. (The frog in boiling water analogy applies.) Immediately a new tax was added to payroll taxes for Medicare. Like Social Security, Americans now had to pay their entire lives into a system to cover healthcare when they turned 65 yrs. old. (now you can be in the U.S. for only 5 years and receive Medicare benefits.) History of Medicare

As implementation of Medicare permeated the healthcare industry, Dr.s receiving payment for Medicare patients did not get reimbursed by Medicare at the same costs as patients who were not on Medicare. In order to make up the difference, patient charges for all other patients were increased to cover the discrepancy. So you, as a working citizen began paying into Medicare, but also then began paying higher prices to go to the Dr. Voilá. You are, at that point, paying twice for Medicare...the payroll deduction and then the higher price at the Dr.'s office.

Oh, but that is just the tip of the iceberg. Medicare expansion continued. The government agency began covering equipment and all manner of other services. A lot of suppliers wanted in on the Medicare payments for healthcare. The price of equipment escalated right along with the Dr.s charges, nursing charges, hospital services, etc. Soon, as the Dr.s, hospitals, and equipment suppliers charged more to cover the discrepancies, health insurance rates began to increase for all others. All of these players felt justified increasing their rates and prices due to the government Medicare program insertion into the system.

Imagine the pebble thrown into a pond with ever expanding ripples. While Medicare covered X amount of a medical service, the doctors and service providers charged Y, so the insurance charged Z in order to cover both X, Y, and Z. Now you are paying three increases over what healthcare used to cost in America. And as this price escalation occurred exponentially over time, fewer and fewer people could afford health insurance and Dr.s charges for care. Dr.s are now in the income stratosphere, as one consequence. (aside: You are also paying for malpractice insurance that your Dr. is hit with thanks to the litigation happy society we live in.) Thank you Lyndon Johnson and your socialist Great Society Program. Wasn't that nice of him?

In short, Medicare caused healthcare prices to go out of reach for many, created an opportunity for fraud and abuse, made us all poorer, created an entire new dependency class, and generally made healthcare affordability worse for everyone. But wait, but wait...the socialists aren't done ruining things yet.....

(Personal anecdote: My son's birth cost a total of $185.00 in 1973. As Medicare costs filtered over the years down into the mainstream medical costs across the board, my son's first child cost $11,000.00 in 2003. In 30 short years the cost of bring a healthy baby into the world "necessarily skyrocketed, would you say?)

Not to be outdone by Lyndon Johnson, Obama magnified the cost of healthcare by such astronomical amounts that most Americans will be financially decimated by the weight of it.

Even prosthetics are taxed heavily as "medical devices." Wounded warriors are going to be taxed for artificial limbs. "If you have a fancy health care plan and pay as an individual, $10,200 or $27,800 for a family, you get to pay a 40% annual tax on those health care plans." Run Down of Tax Increases Because of Obamacare

Just as Medicare threw many people out of the insurance pool due to rising health insurance costs, Obamacare will throw more countless numbers of people out of the insurance pool and into poverty. Obamacare forces employers to stop healthcare benefits for employees due to the increased cost of it. The new cost of paying for employee healthcare is preventing employers from hiring. As more people are thrown into unemployment, more people are forced onto government programs, costing the American taxpayer even more. Obamacare taxes and fees for healthcare impact other aspects of our lives and makes the cost of living climb even higher. Our young heirs to our country have just been added to the dependency list and are made to pay for that privilege. Our heirs will have little chance of accumulating any wealth whatsoever as a consequence of Obama's nasty plans for them, and passed by a Socialist Democrat congress. Obamacare is just one of his guarantees of that. Believe me, Obamacare is not the only economic rape of this country, but it is one of his biggest.

Obama doubled down on Lyndon Johnson in the area of healthcare. Medicare was the tip of the sword, the camel's nose under the tent, the beginning of the end for affordable health care. Communism is so much fun, now isn't it?

MILTON FRIEDMAN ON SOCIALIZED HEALTHCARE

Factoid of the day from Richard Baehr:
"It is worth noting that Massachusetts adopted an Obama care plan of sorts, and now has, by far, the highest health insurance premium rates in the country. Massachusetts was not a state with a high percentage of uninsured before their health reform plan was adopted. So they got some more people insured, at a cost of much higher premiums for everybody else."

I would add to that, the citizens of Massachusetts were FORCED into that state run insurance program, just like you and I will be FORCED into Obama's "utopian" nightmare of state run health care.

Today my life feels like a bridge, coming from one generation in time to another generation in time, traveling from some blissful sunny days of freedom moving into some unrecognizable dark fog of restrictive bondage. One side of the river to the other....from eagerly accepted personal responsibilities for my own life and my family, moving into forced responsibilities for some strangers' lives. Not for friends and families lives, but for some unknown diverse group of people who have no connection to me whatsoever. I am being asked to be responsible for people who have no allegiance to the principles I hold dear. Responsibilities to a society that now does not reflect truth, honesty, moral character, nor adherence to freedom and natural law. Today it all seems surreal. Many of the people in my own generation were closeted socialists and anti-Americans and hid their subversive ideas until now....now that a bad election has unleashed the venom of their poisonous hate for freedom. It has been a shock to find myself 3/4 of the way across the bridge of my life to see ahead a very black hole that was being dug underneath the supports of my bridge and nothing but that thick horrible fog ahead. Worse is the thought that my children and grandchildren are heading straight into that collapsing bridge and I don't seem to have the power to protect them from the collapse. I rest my hopes in God for help and guidance.

The only thing I feel I do have the power to do is to unleash my own ability to transfer what knowledge I have and can find to keep them from losing their way. Filling that black hole with better ideas, truth, and hope is all we can do at this point. Clearing away the fog long enough to catch a glimmer of enlightenment from someone who offers wisdom....today I offer Milton Friedman, speaking on the subject of Socialized Health Care. This speech was given at the Mayo Clinic in 1978, but the message is as strong as ever.

WE ARE NOT THE ONLY ONES

Sometimes, as I am reading through other political blogs, I come across comments from people who are able to articulate my own views and frustrations very well.....so well that I want to collect them to remind myself that there are others out there in cyberland who know, as I do, that the Democrats and Obama represent the lowest of the low that have ever walked in the halls of our government. I say "represent" because they aren't the first, but just the latest in a string of communist / leftist / socialist / fascist / progressive diabolical thugs who want nothing but to over-throw the Constitution of the United States of America.

That said, here is a comment I bring to you from a guy named James who wrote on the American Thinker site:

"The whole agenda behind the Health Care Reform Bill, is not better health care, the real purpose is to transfer people’s hard earned money to the power elite in DC and big corporations, The working poor will be obligated by force of law to buy health insurance they do not want and cannot afford or pay a fine and go to jail. Medicare will be slashed which will turn Seniors into second class citizens when it comes to health care. The whole bill is a huge tax on the middle class with no concomitant benefit. The Bill is riddled with back room dirty deals that maggot like politicians who feed on the body politic are hatching under the cover of darkness. The polls already show the majority of the pubic are against this bill. Remember the draft? that wasn’t even a universal mandate. This Bill will impoverish Americans and turn them into slaves of State. The Democrats who are ignoring the will of the people all must go. They are all scum and should be driven out of office."

Well said. I am only somewhat comforted to know that there are a lot of people in this country who feel as strongly as I do on the subject. Small comforts are at least something in a world of bad bad bad news.

ON THE GENERAL WELFARE CLAUSE

The power brokers in Congress and Barrack Obama are hell-bent on convincing the American public that they have the right to enact health care and energy mandates based on the General Welfare reference in the U.S.Constitution. As usual they are abusing their power, misusing the language of the Constitution to suit their own power greed, and twisting words to confuse an uneducated public to become dependent on the federal government in ways the founders never intended. This is tragic and a travesty against the very core of our basic rights.

The General Welfare reference in the U.S. Constitution was meant ONLY to provide support for the individual States to have national defense and provide a basis for the States to be able to conduct their own affairs. In the Federalist Papers, Federalist No. 14, James Madison wrote this: .. the general [federal] government is not to be charged with the whole power of making and administering laws. Its jurisdiction is limited to certain enumerated objects...[emphasis added] Reference Canada Free Press article In fact, the entire purpose of the U.S. Constitution, with deliberate enumerated powers, is to protect Americans from the exact oppression that the current administration is trying to impose on us. Nowhere in the Constitution does the President or the Congress have any of the powers they have usurped with regard to mandates over-riding the jurisdiction of the States.

So what recourse actions do the citizens have when the federal government becomes Jabba the Hut? At this point I'm not sure if there is recourse. Liberals/Communists/Socialists/Progressives have infiltrated most of the education system and indoctrinated three or more generations of students into the "dependent on government" mindset. 56 members of Congress are proud card-carrying members of the Socialist Party. Both Republicans and Democrats have abandoned the U.S. Constitution for the sake of buying votes and padding their own bank accounts. The corruption is massive. The Constitution has been subverted for decades and the population is now at the mercy of treasonous politicians, whose agenda is not supporting and defending the U.S. Constitution, but solidifying their own money machines and power bases.

Elections come and go. The one true thing you can say is that elections have consequences. Americans need to get smart really fast and figure out how to survive the consequences of tyranny. While we have incrementally been losing freedoms for a very long time, the current administration is wrapping us up in chains and promising to never allow us to be free people again. Your health, your energy use, your ability to communicate, your money system, your ability to move about, your opportunity to buy property, all of this is now being taken away from you and placed under the iron thumb of the federal government.

When Obama said he was going to "transform" America, he wasn't kidding. The question that needed to be asked was, "To what?" Now you know. His answer to all things is domination by federal government in all aspects of your life. The irony is that, because of very clever rhetoric, Obama convinced a lot of people that the transformation was going to return America to its original intent. The people who were fed up with government corruption voted for him thinking they were going to get a more transparent and purely American administration. What we got instead was a Chicago style mafia, complete with Communist thugs, taking over every private industry in our country. A very clever ruse indeed. He could get a Nobel Prize for pulling the wool over people's eyes, if there were one.

Your liberty was guaranteed by the Constitution, not your health care or your energy usage. "The people are the natural guardians of the Constitution," according to Alexander Hamilton. It is now up to us to defend it from the power mad in our government. Call congress and exert your natural rights to defend the Constitution. Tell them, NO NO NO on both Obamacare and Cap and Trade. If we don't stop them, the general welfare for all of us is lost.

Don't Just Take My Word For It!

In trying to bring to this blog the most helpful information for you to absorb, I place not just my opinions, but opinions and facts from others whom I respect. I am including in today's post a letter from a doctor / friend who has written a very sincere letter to share his concerns over Obama's plans for a health care take-over of our lives. This doctor / friend is not just any old fellow of letters....John Rosemond is a psychologist, an author of books, a syndicated columnist, a sought after speaker, a husband, a father, and a grandfather....and a musician on occasions.

Having read his columns for years, and upon occasion stumbled across him at either the grocery or a local restaurant, we have come to know each other recently through the cause of preserving our country for our children and their children. I respect his opinions.

I know John carefully phrased his words to explain how dire the situation is and to frame his argument as diplomatically as possible. He and I are both of the same thoughts when facing Marxists who wish to deliberately and methodically take charge of our very lives. I appreciate his letter and he has allowed me to share it with you. In it he references Ms. Betsy McCaughey, chairman of the Committee to Reduce Infection Deaths and former Lt. Governor of New York State. I will provide a link to her report at the end of John's letter below.

John's letter:

"ladies and gentlemen, friends and acquaintances, liberals, conservatives, independents, and those of you who fit none of the above categories...

i am alarmed...more than alarmed, in fact, but alarmed will do for now...at the obama administration's...including his colleagues in the house and senate...determination to overhaul america's health care system. they seem determined to take a system that needs some fixing, which could be significantly done through tort reform, which is not part of the plan (for reasons having undoubtedly to do with the fact that trial lawyers overwhelmingly vote democrat), and break it, and then impose a system built on the ideal socialist model, which is to say, a system that values the interests of the state over the interests of the individual.

both the declaration and the constitution affirm that the state is subordinate to the people. within the democrat health care model, the people are subordinate to the state. much has been written about "death panels," "involuntary euthanasia," and the like, all of which has provoked defensive outrage from the left of the aisle as well as the president himself.

i believe america hangs in the balance. i believe obama is a sincere individual, but he is seriously misguided, and he is seriously underqualified for the position he now holds. he has no business, for example, being in charge of our nation's defense. as for his health care plan, he obfuscates, he spins, he charms. he does everything but tell the truth to the american people.

the article below is from the wall street journal. it is well-researched and well-written. it appeals to the brain, not the emotions, but it will provoke an emotional reaction. it certainly did with me. i think it's the face of things to come, if we give this man and his colleagues their way with us.

you will read that dr. emanuel, obama's closest health care advisor, believes the hippocratic oath to be outdated. that would be the statist position, since the oath holds that the individual's interests should dictate medical treatment. you will read that dr. emanuel holds that health care is a "scarce" resource that should be apportioned according to an individual's value to society. "scarce" is the operative word in mr. emanuel's argument. if the supposed scarcity of a resource is reason enough for unequal rationing based on an individual's calculated value to society (i.e. the state), then the same argument could be made concerning food. if the government succeeds at taking control of our health care system, then it is capable of taking control of our food distribution system, in which case it is reasonable to foresee that more food stamps would be allotted to my 40 year old son than to 62 year old me, even though we are the same weight.

dr. emanuel's statements speak for themselves. obama and the dems will complain that they are taken out of context. most americans won't read them, so many americans will believe what they are told to believe. please read, and please draw your own conclusions. personally, i fail to see how anyone with a functional brain and an intelligence quotient above 90 could conclude anything other than that george orwell's prophecies, while he may have been hasty, are almost upon us.

if you think i'm a mean-spirited right-wing nut job who can't stand it that a black man occupies the white house, so be it. in which case, just send me an email requesting that you be taken off this list.

if you think everyone needs to be alerted as to obama's real purposes, then send this along to as many people as you can.

God help us all. but first, let's help ourselves."

Consider the Source

This one qualifies as a rant...venting venting venting.....Go....

In my previous post I explained that "news sources" are not necessarily what they seem. As my very inner sense of outrage each day with this group of thugs running our government continues, I look for common sense and sanity across the internet to assuage my angst. Today I came across a site which contains a very concise explanation of the Health Care plans in our Congress today. Here is a link to this great site with all you need to know: Common Sense from a Common Man Please go there and read his synopsis....it is definitely worth your time. I appreciate it very much that this person actually read the bill and consolidated it into common language for all of us to see what these snakes are up to. The daily papers and the TV news are so full of twisted and biased reporting on the Health Care nightmare, that it isn't easy for every day folks to get real answers.

Another very enlightening blog post explaining the Obama-nightmare-care is from a great guy whose blog is linked on my side bar as Cranky George. This one is really good! To read more truth about what your "dear leader" has in mind for you...go here: Cutting Through The Fog

What do you expect when stupid people elect thugs and criminals and tax cheats into our government? The source of the current power grab in the Federal Government is brought to you by people who hate America. It was so easy to see prior to the election, yet utopian dreamers, who can't tell their butts from a hole in the ground, refused to take the Rev. Wright, Bill Ayers, George Soros connections seriously. Stupid idiots elected this communist and his buddies into our government. Idiots. All of them. As Marx would say, "Useful Idiots!"

Believe me when I tell you, you must think the worst and know your thoughts are right on the money. Your worst nightmares have come to fruition thanks to the stupidity of Americans who got sucked into voting for Obamanazis and his henchmen. Between the Stimulus Charade, the Health Care Bills, Cap and Tax Schemes, the Bailouts, the Car Company take-overs, the corrupt media outlets, the STAGED press conferences and town halls.....the lies, lies, and more lies....I'm not feeling too optimistic for my childrens' futures..or my own for that matter.

I don't have a country at this point. My country is gone....replaced by some totally insane totalitarians. Worse yet, voted in by really stupid people. My Dad fought in WWII to save a lot of people from this very kind of tyranny. My son now serves in North Korea to keep South Koreans and the rest of us from an insane dictator. While he works to keep us "free," our country has been taken over by the same type of tyrannical godfather of control, a dictatorial regime, a leader who acts like a very egotistical used-car salesman. I wonder to myself what bullets and blades will save us this time. We are the ones in need of saving....and I can't see who, if not the freedom loving individuals among us, will step up to wrench this country back from the brink of complete disaster. We need a serious revolution here. FAST!

Freedom of Information, While We Still Have It

Truthful information is key. Opinions of those who have educated insights is key. Moral fortitude in the face of detractors is virtuous. Support of the original Constitution of the United States is the only path worth following. Informing the public is critical to the success of our country.

To this end, I am adding a couple more links on the side bar of this blog. The first is FREE REPUBLIC Free Republic has resources and links to everything you could ever want in order to research your own talking points whilst trying to convince those diabolical lying Democrats and Marxists in our midst. The other link is EXPOSE OBAMA

Expose Obama's mission statement begins as follows:

About Expose Obama

We are a committed group of citizens concerned that Barack Obama is a failure as President. His liberal policies are a mistake for America.

Expose Obama came together during the election campaign of 2008, and the website was visited by over two million people. We are a project of the National Campaign Fund, a political action committee registered with the Federal Elections Commission.

Despite our best efforts, Barack Obama was elected. Now our job is to fight his radical agenda in the US Congress and in the public debate.

I know it takes time out of your life to devote to reading issues and contacting Congress to object to their out of control madness. This isn't time I had planned for myself either. We are forced, in this perilous time, to fight back somehow against this onslaught of Marxism. Patriots before us fought for us. They took their time, blood, sweat, and tears to provide this country with freedom for us. So, if we believe God blessed us with the greatest country on earth, we owe it to our children to fight onward to preserve it for them.

Keep the chins up and the emails flying toward your congressional reps and senators. Don't give up. Don't give in.

One Vision of Government Run Healthcare

Personal experience #1.
I have a pair of prescription sunglasses that I use for driving. I've had them since 2005, 4 yrs. ago. Because these glasses get thrown around in and out of my purse a million times, they have developed some superficial scratches on the lens....otherwise, they work fine. The sight part of the prescription is fine. I easily passed my driver's license test with this prescription. Nonetheless, I decided I need to go get these lenses replaced, just to get rid of the scratches. Just buying lenses in no cheap affair. So I hustled over to Lenscrafters with my prescription in my hands to get this done....and lo and behold.....oh, no, they won't replace these lenses unless I go get a new prescription. I said, "What?" "All I want to do is get new lenses!" They said, "NO, you can't." I asked, "Who is in charge of my purchasing new lenses for my sunglasses?" The guy said, "The State of North Carolina is in charge." Evidently, unbeknownst to me, the prescription must be less than two years old according to some bureaucrat.

Whoa, folks. There you have it.
Now you need to know the rest of the story, as Paul Harvey says. There is a former N.C. State legislator who is now sitting in jail for taking bribes. His downfall was colluding with chiropractors to manipulate the law. His name is, appropriately, Jim Black, an optometrist by trade. I think this is the same Jim Black who is responsible for pushing a law requiring every kindergartener to have an optometry exam before entering school. In other words, the State of North Carolina decides when your child needs to go to the Optometrist...not the parents. Hmmmmm.....I wonder who that benefits? Gee, let me guess. I don't know who in the North Carolina legislature got greased to require time limits on eye prescriptions, but I do know someone got greased.

All I know at this point is that in North Carolina I cannot get new lenses for my sunglasses unless I pay some optometrist for the privilege. And that dear friends is how this is going to go....with the government in charge of your health instead of you. There will be so much unnecessary butt grabbing that you are going to think you are a melon at the produce stand. This is just one tiny miniscule example of who is going to tell you what you can and cannot do with regard to your health. Multiply that out for every American...and what you have are some few very powerful bureaucrats telling you how to sneeze.

Speaking of butt grabbing, I used to laugh at the colonoscopy nonsense. Imagine you are a gastroenterologist and you have political connections. What would be the fastest way to get rich? First scare everyone to death that they are next in line to get colon cancer. Then have some congressional edict require that everyone in the country march straight over to the nearest out-patient center and suffer through the colonoscopy routine.....the 'drinking death liquid' they force you to drink, the entire day off work and dependent on relatives who also have to take the day off work, the anesthesia, etc. Result....a lot of very wealthy gastroenterologists. Nice work if you can get it, eh??

Further, imagine the psychology of this. You have managed to get an entire population to succumb to your greedy plan, and they followed along like sheep to the slaughter. Insurance companies play the game with you, i.e. upping the premiums to cover everyone's butts. (pun intended) You get hit in the wallet and the butt. But....the gastroenterologists of the world just made everyone scared to death (whether or not you have any history of intestinal problems) and forced everyone to take it in the rear!!

Wow....what a scheme.
For me today, it was the optometry association. I took one in the eye.
Good luck with that "Hope and Change" stuff. It's getting worse by the minute.
