THE WITS' END

Dear Readers,

Some years ago, when I started this blog, I had arrived at a conclusion that the Federal government was completely off the rails.  Over the years, as I looked at the local and state policies going on around me, I decided one approach would be to get locally elected officials to hold the line against the Federal policies.  All politics being local, I thought this may be the best way for each of us to fight back and retrieve our government.  Now, after scrutinizing the local budgets, going to meetings of councils, commissioners, MPOs, COGs, etc., I have come full circle in my assessment that the Federal government is the driver of all that has run amok.  BUT, I have to say I believe the local political cast of characters, both elected and unelected, is also to blame for buying into the Federal scams.  (Most, not all.)  So I've decided it is all levels of government scheming against the private sector, with yet another caveat thrown in.... that the larger corporate factions of the private sector have jumped into bed with all of the levels of government to scheme against the taxpayers right along with the big government types.  There is no end to the co-mingling of corruption and collusion.

So...round and round it goes and where it stops, nobody knows.

I have decided to take a break from writing my blog for a few weeks, possibly the rest of the summer.  We'll see if I can actually do that.  Last time I tried to take a break, I ended up back in the fray fairly quickly.  Chasing down all of the rabbit holes and finding they all lead to the same place has made me very tired.  I've neglected my personal life too much in order to expose the cancerous corruption that ails our nation.  Plus, I believe there are other writers out there doing a superb job of keeping up with the myriad of political disasters.  My solutions are your solutions, i.e. get involved where you can, protect yourself as you can, and continue to spread the word.  The entire world has caught fire since I started this blog. Every day is filled with outrage after outrage committed by government and those in on the take with government.  So many issues have caught fire that this lady cannot keep up with all of them.  

I am going to continue to work with my local Tea Party and network with friends statewide who are voicing their opinions as well as working with campaigns to replace corrupt politicians.  From Common Core to immigration, to sending arms to enemies in the middle east, to financial manipulation by the Fed,  to being taxed to death from all levels, to regulations that are killing everything around us, to NSA spying, to Agenda 21, to gun control, to toll roads, high speed rail, and mass transit, subsidized everything, infiltration of Islamic enemies into our government, to ACA-health care, utility metering for rationing.....

Seriously, I have to take a break.

One last shot at a couple of things..... 

#1.From what I know,  I believe Mr. Snowden has only revealed what the public should have known all along and that which some people already knew.  He should not be pursued by our government for espionage.  He should be regarded as a patriot.  Without knowing where his story is leading, right now I nominate him for a Patrick Henry award.

#2.The immigration bill is another nail in the coffin of what used to be the United States of America.  If the Corker amendment passes later today, which I hear it will, this nation is no longer the America we love.  Between this, Obamacare, Dodd Frank, the continuing strangulation of energy industries,  spying on all of us, etc. we are seeing exactly what this POTUS wanted to see, the complete and utter destruction of our nation as we knew it.  We have crossed the Rubicon and there is no returning without Divine intervention.

The amendment passed, so for your reading pleasure I leave you with this Breitbart article about where they are spending the money they are stealing from you, your children, and your grand-children. You can barely afford a car or education for your own children, but Bernie Sanders has made sure that you will pay for some other person's personal vehicle. I guess that we are paying billions for mass transportation isn't good enough for Mr. Sanders.  Before you know it there will be a Prius or Volt in every garage.   Car handouts for kids

Breitbart News has learned there is a provision included in the immigration bill that could be used to give free cars, motorcycles, scooters or other vehicles to young people around the country over a period of 15 months after the bill passes.  The new provision is a result of the latest addition to the Corker-Hoeven amendment, which is essentially an entirely new version of the bill.

The Washington Examiner’s Byron York uncovered the new Obama stimulus program that Gang of Eight members and other Senate Republicans inserted into the bill as a sweetheart deal for liberal Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT). The left leaning Senator was previously critical of the legislation.

“The original Gang bill ended with a section designated Title IV, which was headlined REFORMS TO NON-IMMIGRANT VISA PROGRAMS,” York wrote on Sunday. “The Hoeven-Corker version of the bill added a Title V, with the headline JOBS FOR YOUTH. The measure would provide $1.5 billion in the next two years to provide jobs for Americans between the ages of 16 and 24. It was originally pushed by Democratic Sen. Bernard Sanders, who wanted to come to the aid of young workers who were ‘hard hit by the Wall Street-caused recession.’ Now, Sanders says immigration reform will further damage youth job prospects.”

A provision under that new stimulus program title allows for the use of spending the taxpayer money on the program to provide transportation for youth to and from their jobs.

“(f) USE OF FUNDS.—
 (1) IN GENERAL.—The funds made available under this section shall be used—
 (A) to provide summer employment opportunities for low-income youth, with direct linkages to academic and occupational learning, and may be used to provide supportive services, such as transportation or child care, that is necessary to enable the participation of such youth in the opportunities;”

The total appropriation for this new stimulus program would be $1.5 billion that would be divvied up among states that applied for the money. According to the proposed statute as written, all the money would need to be spent in a year-and-three-months period.

“The amounts appropriated under this title shall be available for obligation by the Secretary of Labor until December 31, 2014, and shall be available for expenditure by grantees (including subgrantees) until September 30, 2015,” the part of the provision detailing how long the money would be available for reads.

A GOP senate aide told Breitbart News that for the country to be able to spend $1.5 billion on such a program so fast, it would need to buy, lease or rent motor vehicles  for beneficiaries of the new government handout. The provision that outlines how the money can be legally used for providing “supportive services” like “transportation,” the aide said, could easily be interpreted to mean the money could be spent buying or leasing or renting vehicles for the beneficiaries.

“This appears to give states authority to buy, lease or rent motorcycles, cars and scooters or anything kids want to buy to get to and from a job,” the GOP aide said.

AFL-CIO

Bank of America
Bank of America has donated millions of dollars to ACORN for “neighborhood preservation.” They also financially support the Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America (NACA).

North Carolina Coalition of Health Care for America Now
NC HCAN is the North Carolina arm of a grassroots organization that pushed for passage of the national health-care bill. NC HCAN has a 16-member steering committee, whose organizations include ACORN NC, AFL-CIO and SEIU. SEANC is one of NC HCAN’s coalition partners.

State Employees Association – North Carolina
SEANC is the largest state employees’ association in the South with over 55,000 members. SEANC became legally affiliated with SEIU in 2008 and is now SEIU Local 2008

Service Employees International Union
SEIU has donated over $3.6 million to ACORN over the last six years. SEIU Local 100 was co-founded by ACORN founder Wade Rathke. In 2008, SEIU gave $1.1 million to the NC Democratic Party.

Wade Rathke
Wade Rathke is co-founder of ACORN as well as SEIU Local 100. He served as ACORN’s chief organizer until stepping down in 2008 after his brother Dale Rathke’s embezzled over $1 million dollars from ACORN and it became public. Wade Rathke is also the former director of the Tides Foundation.

State of North Carolina
Over $640,000 of North Carolina taxpayer money wasawarded to the NC Justice Center in 2006. Continuing payments have likely exceeded $1 million. The state also granted $1 million to NACA.

This map and information is invaluable to North Carolina residents who are concerned about the infiltration of socialists into our republic. To me it looks like a nest of predatory parasites who are so embedded into our institutions that it will take an act of God to rid ourselves of the scourge.

In defense of Bank of America, I will submit that the bank was forced by the Federal Government to do much of (for) what they are being demonized. I think the map shows a perfect quid pro quo, where the Bank was forced to take the bailout money and then was forced to fork some of it over to Acorn. The Feds forced the banks to take the bailouts. It was the Feds who forced the banks to make the high risk loans to low income people, yet the banks are the ones taking all of the heat for doing what they were told to do. No wonder to me they created derivitives to get rid of the dead weight....if they hadn't done that, the Feds would have taken them over and/or shut them down anyway for lack of viable assets. Ken Lewis was told to go forward with the Merrill Lynch merger and then told to keep his mouth shut to the board on the condition of Merrill Lynch, and now the SEC is suing Bank of America for doing just what the Feds told them to do. Get it? You can't win...Lose lose LOSE! This banking crisis was entirely orchestrated by the Feds (and Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Franklin Raines, etc.) from the beginning.

Our citizens are damned if (we) do, and damned if (we) don't. The government has become the mafia.... You will pay g'zillions for worse health care and if you don't, you will go to jail and we will take all you own. You will pay small fortunes for inferior toxic light bulbs or else!! You will drive an electric tiny can (car) for 30 miles and then plug it into the grid...using more electricity to go shorter distances. You will give up your farm pond to the EPA. You will not exhale without being taxed. The mafia (Chicago or otherwise) is the model now for our government.

Our representatives in DC are no longer our representatives and they don't give a flying flip about what we think or need. Most of them (especially in the majority) are members of the same mafia. And with Acorn stealing elections, I'm not sure how we can get the @@#$$%@!!s out of there.

We need a NC Sovereignty resolution....fast. And that may only suffice to hold them back to a degree. It would help. However, it will be next to impossible to get this done, since the Democrats / Socialists are in the majority in the state house and senate and the governorship.

Sorry to be so glum.....it just doesn't look good to me...

I need some solace tonight...some comforting thought that our individual goodness is going to be spared from this totalitarian regime in Washington. The road to ruin has been long fought by some very sinister characters who have taught their bitter ways to several generations of innocent children in America. The biggest lesson they teach is: collective theft is good, individual success is bad. If at some point I find myself lying at death's door and cannot be granted the life-saving grace of some good doctor who knows how to save me, for a year, or a month, or however long....I will know who to thank for sending me to my grave just a bit too early.

On the eve of diabolical actions from Obama's and the Democrat's government, I wondered what comfort can I find to soothe my worried brow. I found some solace here....

From Ayn Rand: "Do not ever say that the desire to "do good" by force is a good motive. Neither power-lust nor stupidity are good motives."

And:"The smallest minority on earth is the individual. Those who deny individual rights cannot claim to be defenders of minorities. . "

And:"Run for your life from any man who tells you that money is evil. That sentence is the leper's bell of an approaching looter. "

And:"We are fast approaching the stage of the ultimate inversion: the stage where the government is free to do anything it pleases, while the citizens may act only by permission; which is the stage of the darkest periods of human history, the stage of rule by brute force. "

Goodbye Insurance Companies...It's been nice to know ya.....
From John Hinderaker of Powerline: "What strikes me as I read the House bill, however, is how closely it approximates socialized medicine even without the public option. The bill is classic national socialist legislation, in that it takes ostensibly private entities, the health insurance companies, and perverts them into instruments of the state, run top-down and barred from competing among themselves."

Continuing on he assures us that, while private insurance companies may still exist for a short time, they will quickly leave the scene. Bunko...Kaput...Gone...Out of business. What motive would insurance companies have to exist? Their profits would be gone. All those employed in that industry would be either unemployed or co-opted by government bureaucrats. The choices they offer would be gone. The doctor's autonomy, which has been already encroached upon, will be totally usurped. The very definition of "insurance" will be gone. As usual, the Marxists have abominated the word "insurance" so that it no longer means what it did. Redefining health care into an entitlement does not equate with "insurance." Government control of your health care is not "insurance." It is totalitarianism and, mind you, without Constitutional authority.

Scary thoughts on All Hallows Eve. May the ghost of Ayn Rand visit me in my sleep tonight and give me some peace of mind.

DIVERSITY = DIVISIVENESS

Once upon a time in America there was a great feeling of "WE." We were all Americans. I hear politicians make silly swooning statements regarding the days after 9/11, indicating that they thought it was soooo terrific that we had all come together with one purpose. They say, "We were all Americans after 9/11." I don't think so. Not by a long shot. We haven't been united as Americans since the 1960's, the era of hyphens. In the 1960's, out of the progressive black organizations, came the idea that to divide Black-Americans/ African-Americans was suddenly a source of pride. Prior to this, the hyphenated Americans were looked down upon as 'Not quite American,' not fully American. Immigrants who had loyalty to some other father nation were down-graded to be less than 'real' Americans.

Funny, before that, as I grew up in integrated schools in Ohio, we were all Americans. Period. No hyphens. No funny business. No reason to think otherwise. We were Americans....black, white, oriental, mixed, whatever. No one in my entire childhood made any big deal of anyone's ancestral heritage as if they were less than American. My great-great grandparents were Germans who immigrated to the U.S. in the 1800's to escape religious persecution. Believe me, they were glad to be here and proud to be strong, independent, contributors to the American way of life, and free to be whoever they were. The blacks I knew as I was growing up were beside me in school, worked in middle class jobs, owned businesses, and also, free to be whoever they were. In my school, they were tandem with us...athletes, cheerleaders, scholars...side by side. As with any 'group' of people, there were many differences in their achievements, but they were not looked upon as a lesser class of people. Did I grow up in utopia? No. Just a small town in mid-century America. What small amount of discrimination I saw, was just that....small and not tolerated.

The issue of hyphenated Americans was addressed in an earlier time by leaders who saw the hyphens exactly for what they were; divisive. Since I addressed Teddy Roosevelt previously, and not in a supportive way, I will now give you something from Teddy Roosevelt that I support. Here is a yr. 1915 quote from him on the hyphenated American concept:


"There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all... The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic... There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else."

From that time until the 1960's, being hyphenated was a derogatory term. Somehow in the sixties, all of a sudden it was the battle cry of blacks to say, "I'm Black, I'm proud." As if whites were walking around just saying, "I'm White, I'm proud." Then PBS showed the movie "Roots," sometime in the 1970's to reinforce the African loyalties of blacks in America. This morphed into African-American hyphenated everything. Blacks in America decided they weren't really Americans, they were African-Americans.

Today, besides being divided up into political polar opposites, our country is divided into every ethnic and country-of-origin designation possible. Is it any wonder that America is at odds with itself? No one seems to know where their loyalties lie. More time is spent on encouraging "diversity" than unity. No consensus can be achieved with this kind of premise. None. As long as children are taught that they are really something other than Americans, that they are Africans first, or Muslims first, or Mexicans first, gay first, gender first, or whatever else first, there can be no consensus on America first.

Compounding the dangerously ridiculous is that we now have one of the hyphenated as President of the United States, who billed himself as a "uniter" but now can easily be seen as one of the most divisive personalities to ever hit the political stage. None of Obama's policies have gained consensus anywhere in America. He has people divided on health care, cap and trade, bailouts, Afghanistan, and everything else he touches. He has divided people up into camps....either socialist or freedom loving American. Everything he proposes is un-American at its core. The irony is that so many Americans were voting based on the hope that his Presidency would end the divide and end the hyphens. They thought Obama would represent the all-inclusive America that we, out here in the middle of America, would like to see. Instead, he is carving us up into hispanics, blacks, muslims, gays/lesbians/transgenders, socialists, big-government, globalists, etc. against the rest of us; whites, anglo-saxon, heterosexual, constitutional, Christian, capitalist, freedom loving Americans. Wherever you look within his government, you find people with an axe to grind, an agenda supporting one group or another, but none who are Americans first.

Obama will never create a consensus out of "diversity." A successful country doesn't celebrate its 'diversity.' It celebrates its common love of the tenets on which the country is based. This is a lesson that evidently Obama and the Marxists surrounding him never learned in the halls of Harvard and Yale. They must have spent more time on "Divide and Conquer" than learning the lessons of American exceptionalism, the U.S. Constitution, and how America's success is based on the respect for the individual, not the "group" think of hyphens.

Propaganda as Love Letters

So Ken Burns is coming out with his PBS series on the National Parks, ironically, at the same time Michael Moore comes out with his absurd attack on Capitalism. Which reminds me of Cyrano DeBergerac.....
How did I make that connection, you might be asking?

Cyrano DeBergerac was a very adept writer of love letters. He was an unattractive man - read Moore and Burns - and he wrote love letters to convince a reluctant love interest - read America - that she should fall in love with some handsome guy - read Obama. The handsome guy paid DeBergerac to convince the lady of his flaming passions for her, thereby swaying her attentions. But in the end, it was DeBergerac who won the lady's hand. The propagandist won out. ( In the case of the love story, you are rooting for the unattractive guy to win....and it is through his words you see what his heart desires.

Literally speaking, it was DeBergerac's writings on behalf of the insincere fellow that made the basis for propaganda....by proxy....which is what we have today. i.e. Obama co-opting the NEA for propaganda, government money propping up PBS to promote propaganda for .....gee....government purposes, and then George Soros, the ultimate ugly guy, using Michael Moore, another ugly guy, undermining the free flow of capitalism to enrich....the ugly guys.

In fact, Michael Moore's movie is called, "Capitalism" A Love Story. (tongue in cheek, obviously) Burns' is an obvious "love story" about how Big Government has saved all of the National Parks from the greedy private interests and, therefore, you must celebrate that.

Hmmmmm....maybe they took that Cyrano DeBergerac a bit too seriously. In today's analogy, Obama is the attractive front man / suiter using the ugly guys to promote his cause. But the end game is the agenda of the ugly guys....and I don't think I like what the ugly guys are pushing in this fable. It sure isn't "true love." It's tyranny of big government....plain and simple.

Watch out for those ugly guys....and the pretty face in front of them.

Who Funds the Radical Left In America?

I came across an article today on a site called Western Journalism.com, that ties in with my previous post a couple of days ago: Payback Is Hell. This one gives you a more comprehensive look at who elected Barack Obama...and the extent of which our country has been invaded by leftists/communists/fascists/socialists....at this point who knows what to call them except "insidious parasites." Most of Obama's Czars and advisors come from the offspring of the Tides Foundation. I'll leave you to read and be enlightened. And then please take any action you can to thwart them.

Enemies More Domestic

After years of the left and the media demonizing Senator Joseph McCarthy, time has proven that McCarthy was correct in his allegations against the Communist threat infiltrating the American government. This actually was proven a few years ago (look at this) so Hollywood launched a movie (look at this) on the spot, starring George Clooney, to once again smear McCarthy and undermine the truth. The oath taken by government officials in current times to "protect America from enemies both foreign and domestic" has become nothing more than a joke because of Socialist corruption in our government. So many of them are "domestic" enemies, that they might as well be swearing on a stack of comic books. In that light, I want to say I admire Joseph McCarthy and his courage to expose the Communist plotters who wanted to take down the United States.

Why am I concerned with this now? You know the saying...those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it. As I've said previously, I am not usually prone to jump onto "conspiracy" theories. I don't like walking around the earth paranoid. It isn't comfortable and not my usual nature. But I also can't just sit here and watch my country get lied to day after day and watch my children's futures just get sucked down the tubes.

But, as my post (two posts down) shows, there are "card carrying" Socialists in our government. Is a Socialist a Communist? Well....what do you think? Ask Marx!

When Communism got slapped down in the 1930's the ideology did not go away. It morphed. The very insidious enemy of the United States decided to change it's vocabulary to make it more palatable. (put a whole lotta ketchup on that cardboard sandwich.) They realized they weren't going to subvert America in one generation. They took the "death by inches" (also known as "death by a thousand cuts) approach. They decided they would hide the "Communist" moniker and go for the "Socialist" nomenclature. They have co-opted the word Democracy, making you think that Democracy means a guaranteed result of wealth for everyone. Now, instead of calling themselves "Liberals" they call themselves "Progressives." So clever they are. What person is going to say they don't want "Progress?" If you don't want "Progress," why, you must be an old fuddy duddy stick in the mud who is passe.....think "Bitter Clinger." One of their most effective strategies is to redefine the language. And they are succeeding...unless you recognize it and call them exactly what they are: lying Communist traitors.

There are enemies of freedom afoot in our government. They don't believe in freedom. They believe in Communism, totalitarian government rule over all of us. They don't believe in free enterprise. They believe in "Nationalizing" every business / industry in the country. They are doing it by way of "a thousand cuts." The "Stimulus Bill" of today might as well be incorporated into the "Communist Manifesto." That is exactly what it is, in its original form.

If the public would or could wise up to the vocabulary tricks of the Socialists who are taking over our country...then maybe we would have a chance to save ourselves. But as long as Hollywood, the media, and the politicians are going to lie, cheat, steal, subvert freedom, pervert the language we speak, and all the while....call it "Progress" (Hope and Change, see my definitions in previous post)...the air is filled with the stench of a dying corpse of what used to be America.

If you are reading this and you have any courage at all, use your voice to speak out against them. They are showing themselves brashly and with arrogance. You can make a difference by telling them exactly what you think of their Communist / Socialist language.
