BE WHO YOU IS, DON'T BE WHO YOU AIN'T ~ OBAMA FRAUD

Many years ago, when my daughter was in junior high school, we went to the library for a school project she had.  We picked up a book of old old poetry, and there we found a poem written by an African American woman long ago.  It began with the words, "Be who you is, Don't be who you ain't."  I'm frustrated at the moment because I can't find it anywhere online or in my house, but I've thought of that poem often over the years.  It came to mind again today because of the debate on Obama's mysterious past...a debate he thrives on and has created himself.  At this point, he might as well be from Uranus.  He is alien and hostile to the American experience. Where from whence he actually comes is anyone's guess.  And who his father is, is anyone's guess.  And if his father is who he says he is, the original country of that father is Kenya, a British protectorate.  Which makes the man who calls himself president, completely ineligible to hold the office.  

It is no surprise that Obama would use a false biography to promote himself.  Selfish people do what works for them, without a thought of the truth or others.  It appears he has used different names, different social security numbers, different birth stories, and mostly done this out of expediency to whatever goal he had in mind at the time.  If it sounded good to get what he wanted, he said it.  He still does this.  Lying about Dr.s amputating feet in order to sell his Obamacare debacle, for instance.  Lying about the efficacy of green energy in order to steal our tax money to shut down the fossil fuels industries, for another.  It is what he does.  That is what Barack Obama is good at.  Fraud and misrepresentation of himself and his agenda. 

Next to the Virgin Birth, I'm not sure we have ever had such a prominent world figure whose genetic history is so unknown.  Have we?  I guess there have been usurpers to the throne in medieval times.  I began watching the series, "Pillars of the Earth," by Ken Follett this week, coincidentally. The lesson there is that corruption hardly started here and now, in our era.  At any rate, I find today's mystery usurper just as evil and corrupt as seen in the past.  He lays the groundwork for untold future harm that we will be suffering and paying for, for many decades to come.

So he missed the poem, I guess.  Instead, steeped in Marxism and Alinsky's Rules, where the ends justify the means, Obama has learned his lessons well.  A fraud from the get go.  We can be mad at the media.  We can be mad at our fellow Americans who refused to see the truth or even look for it.  We can be very mad at our legislature and courts who refuse to take on the fraud, prosecute if for what it is.  And I am.  Mad at all of them. 

But here we are, days after the Breitbart revelation on the book promotion where Obama is Kenyan born, and still, no one is taking it on.  I don't hear anyone from the legislature saying it is time to act.  We have no defenders against this fraudulent man who holds the White House and Justice Department in his grimy, thieving, Communist hands.  

I have to say, one does not pull this off without sycophants and complicit background support.  Sickening though it is to know there are guards around this fraud, I can't help but wonder how many of them can be prosecuted.  They will all plead ignorance...except for his wife, Holder, Soros, and Ayers, all of whom absolutely have to know all of this. 

Will it all ever come out in the wash?  That mystery continues.  So far those who have gone against the fraud have been ridiculed, vilified, or found dead.

TIRED OF TWISTED LANGUAGE MANIPULATIONS

I've pointed out before that one of the sharpest swords in the Socialist toolbox is twisting the meanings of words. I cannot begin to tell you how sick of that game I am. I heard the other day that the original purpose of Webster creating the dictionary was to assure we all knew the meanings of words in order to keep us all on the same page. I decided to look this up and found this little blurb below:

Noah Webster claimed to have coined only one word - demoralize, which he defined: "To corrupt or undermine the morals of; to destroy or lessen the effect of moral principles on; to render corrupt in morals."

That's interesting. The common usage of "demoralize" today seems to mean "discourage," or to make someone feel down and frustrated. Obviously, that is not the original intent of the word. Makes me think I need that dictionary. The word also describes what has happened to our entire society; demoralized. It's a good word with Webster's meaning intact.

This takes me to what has happened to our laws. When legal isn't moral, we are definitely working with chains of corruption wrapped around us. It occurred to me today that the Constitution has been under assault from the moment it was signed, sealed, and delivered. It is a very moral document. Immoral people would not like to be held to the standards set in it, or the rules a moral people rely on for civil society. The relentless assault on the Constitution has escalated under Obama. I can't help but wonder if we have reached the point of no return, though in my heart of hearts I hope not. Part of the assault is on our language. Hence, a Communist was elected to the Presidency using two words: Hope and Change. Vague and ambiguous, meaning different things to different people, but a clever sales pitch, nonetheless.

Words mean things. The left doesn't like the meanings, so they abominate the words to their own benefits. Things have become so bad lately that I believe we have become confused beyond ability to communicate. It would be good to get back to the basics with language.

Just a couple of examples:
"Livability" What the heck does that mean to you? You see, the word is ambiguous. It implies something without actually defining it. There are people who swallow comprehensive municipal plans using that word, and in truth, they have no idea what that means. So when you go diving into the description from the Smart Growth crowd, you find out that "livability" means high density, discouraged use of cars, buildings with green certification, restrictive rules and regulations for everything. Does that sound enticing to you? No. So they use an ambiguous word, i.e. "Livability" to make you think it must be just great to live in a city that uses "Livability" as a goal.

"Connectivity" How does that sound?? Another ambiguous word. Left to interpretation, it implies we should all be so happily connected to everything. What it actually means is no privacy, connecting streets so there are no cul de sac neighborhoods, greenways in your backyard, and light rail at your doorstep. So the facilitators sell the plan as this wonderful idea, but it turns into laws and regulations that undermine private ownership control over your own property. Zoning doesn't even come close to what "Connectivity" can do. Zoning actually allows for appeals and compromises. "Connectivity" is dogma. You can't get away from it.

So, here's to Noah Webster and his valiant effort to make sure we all understood the meanings of words. I vote we don't fall for ambiguous and vague soundbites, empty promises, and shyster political speak. I vote we all buy Webster's original dictionary and start using it. Otherwise, we are communicating in foreign languages that no one in America even grasps. You can see how well that is working out lately.

CO2 IS OUR FRIEND, PART IV

Burning fossil fuels brought us from the depths of hard labor and short lives into the most productive and healthy eras of world history. Amazingly, some people who have benefited most from the rise of technology and civilization have decided that fossil fuels are a bad thing. Those some people don't like it that western civilization evolved into a thriving world economy that has fed, clothed, and sheltered more people than all of pre-industrial civilization time which elapsed. These some people are the supposed environmentalists who have driven the argument that civilization is killing the planet.

But the environmentalists could not destroy modern civilization on their own with just their unsupported theories. Presto ! Enter the political global socialist / Marxist who likes power and wishes to control populations of people and / or depopulate the earth in order to control fewer people. It's much easier to control 1 billion people than 6 billion people. And with only 1 billion people there are fewer people to share the resources of the planet. And Presto! again...Enter the faux scientists who live off government grants who skew information to suit the new government goals of reducing life styles, and ultimately reducing population.

Whether or not you believe depopulation is the expressed goal of global environmentalist Marxists, the outcome of their policies will result in lower quality of life, shorter life spans, and eventually depopulation. Policies equal intentions when you can read their goals as they have written them in several documented plans.

So intent is proven. And the lies are exposed. CO2 is not dangerous. And Sustainable means the government is kicking people off their lands. The question is, are you going to go to your local government and tell them you will not allow them to continue the process of eco-marxism in your area? Are you going to go to elected officials at all levels of government and tell them? And if they don't stop the process of eco-marxism, are you going to find candidates who will stop this madness?

Maybe you think there are too many people in the world. Maybe you think these policies won't affect you, but will just affect those "other" people. Ask yourself that when you try to buy an incandescent light bulb, find RFID chips on your recycling bin, or buy gasoline for your car. Ask yourself that when your heating bill "necessarily skyrockets." Ask yourself that when you go to the grocery and find half the food is imported and twice as expensive as last year. Ask yourself that when your commute keeps getting more congested and you don't know why. Ask yourself that when you open the newspaper and find that half the country is not paying taxes. Ask yourself that when the housing market goes bust for a second time and the value of your property plummets into the tank again.

Ask yourself that the next time you exhale CO2. Ask yourself who is in charge of these policies and why are they doing it?

BRING ON THE FEAR

What are you afraid of?  Rejection?  Spiders?  Armed robbers?  Starving to death?  Being poisoned?  Tripping over a dead body?  Losing your Social Security?  How about losing your medical care?  Roving bands of feral foxes in the neighborhood?  Someone who says, "boo!"  Freezing to death?  Dying of heat prostration?  Getting hit by lightening?  Going broke?  Getting smacked by an authority figure?  The IRS?   

Really.  Bear with me...this may be a little hard to follow, but it may make you think about how we got here. 

There are people who love to make other people jump out of their skin with fear.  They are the Freddie Krugers of the world.  If life is going along just fine, they are not happy.  They just have to do something to get a reaction out of someone.  It's how they get attention.  Sadly, it is usually the only trick they know......do or say something outrageous or horrible and, voilá, they are center stage and on everyone's front page.  This group loves to scare other people because it makes them feel in control.  By scaring people, they have elicited a response to their own core need for attention and thereby, rule over masses of hysteria.  They will scare you with your deepest fears, such as feelings of being rejected, feelings of insecurity, feelings of guilt, feelings of inadequacy, etc.  Whatever feeling they use to scare you with, you play right into their hands by letting yourself feel the desired response. 

President Obama is continually telling us we have to do one thing or another or all hell will break loose, and then we will be very very sorry if we don't do what he says....i.e. he attempts to scare the bejeezus out of folks to make them do his bidding.  If "we" don't spend billions of dollars on lowering carbon emissions, "we" will kill the planet.  If "we" don't raise the debt ceiling, the country will collapse.  If "we" don't pass the health care bill, your medical care will go in the tank.  If "we" don't borrow trillions more dollars, everyone will be out of work.  If "we" don't take over the car companies, thousands and thousands of people will lose their jobs.  If "we" don't do whatever he says, America is doomed.  I want to ask, in the immortal words of Tonto, "Who is this "we" kemosabe?"

Evidently, Al Gore is good at scaring people to death.  In his baritone voice, he warns everyone that humans are killing everything on the planet.  What does he want?  Money.  He set up an entire business based on terrifying people.  So what that he is lying, that his premise is completely a fraud.  That is no matter to him.  If he scares enough people, he is successful in creating the fear he needs to get them to buy his lies and make him rich.  You just don't want to believe old Al Gore, that nerdy rich politician, would lie to you to enrich himself?  Ah, yes, it's much easier to think the best of the fellow and then swallow the poison he serves you through the surrogate news media airwaves every night over dinner.  You might get acid indigestion if you actually realize leaders are lying to you.  Which is harder; believing Al Gore would lie?  Or, believing you are killing the planet?   If you realize the fact that you are not killing the planet, then you have to face up the fact that Al Gore is lying, that government officials are lying, and that the media is lying right along with them.  Faith and trust in leadership is gone.  Get out the Rolaids. 

The interesting thing about such people is that they have figured out how to scare people to death in order to get their own way.  There must be a psychological name for this dysfunctional personality, but I'm not sure what it is.  (Psycopathic liar, comes to mind.) Today it seems to me that such fear-mongers are gaining an audience in huge proportions.  Chicken Little is alive and well.  On street corners, for years, folks have stood with signs that say, "The End Is Near."  Traditionally, those folks have been laughed at and scorned for being loony.  Today we have Chicken Littles everywhere. We seem to have a political class that is operating on the same premise as Chicken Little.   They are telling you the country is going to collapse unless you divvy up your money, counting on you to be afraid of everything except themselves, distracting you from facts and historical truths.  Fear is epidemic. It's a national shake down based on fear.

This is not to say we don't have problems.  We do.  But reacting out of fear to those who are manipulating emotions is not the solution.  I wish everyone would step back, take a deep breath, do some serious critical thinking, and then proceed on the basis of facts. 

Some people are afraid of truth.  Some people are afraid of history.  "Oh, no, don't bring up the Holomodor or the Holocaust again!"  "Don't tell me again about Jews thrown into ovens or Mao killing off millions of dissenters!" Don't remind me of Lenin and Stalin starving people to death!" "I can't stand to it....it can't be true!"  "Please shut up!"  "That will never happen again!" 

We are all afraid of something.  For instance, I'm afraid of not knowing the truth.  You might be afraid of the truth.  And that, to me, describes at least some part of the great disconnect we are experiencing in our nation today.  A nation gripped with fear.  Some of us fear the liars.  Some of us fear the content of the lies. What are you afraid of?

Seems to me that a great number of people in this country want to believe lies because some lies make them feel less afraid than the truth.  The irony in this is that the lies are just reinforcing a different kind of fear.  We are caught between two categories of lies.  One is that our leadership will not lie.  The other is the boatload of lies our leaders are telling us. For instance, if you know the truth that there is no such thing as global warming, then you have to face the fear that your leaders are corrupt and are lying to you.  Which do you fear most?  The leadership lying?  Or global warming?   The leaders are relying on the theory that you will go for the global warming lie.  They know that it is easier to get you to fear some unfounded theory which plays into your fear of rejection or guilt, than to tell you the truth.  The truth being that they don't have a clue about what in the hell they are doing regarding the false premise of climate change, but they are going to make themselves very rich and powerful by lying to you.

Is it easier to believe that $14 trillion in debt is managable?  Or is it harder to face the fact that $14 trillion in debt is likely to ruin the futures of your grandchildren?  Is it easier to believe that getting groped at the airport makes you feel more secure?  Or, does it scare you that getting groped at the airport is not doing one damn thing to make the country safer?  Is it easier to believe that we can just fund millions of Mexicans coming across the border?  Or, does it scare you to believe our government just won't secure that border?  Is it easier to buy the lies or harder to face the truth that we are being lied to?    That we are being lied to is very disturbing and hard to face.  It gets you way out of your comfort zone.  

So ends my 50 cent psychoanalysis for today.   I am afraid that too many Americans are believing lies in order to escape the hard truths.   I am afraid of people who ignore history for the sake of corrupt and convenient gratification.  The American premise is; we are supposed to be allowed to lead ourselves without the tyranny of a heavy handed federal government.  Leadership that will tell lies in order to gain power and money is, indeed, something to fear. Americans who choose to believe those lies are a huge part of the problem.

In the current age of Progressive liars, we should be afraid.  Very afraid.

I DON'T GRADE ON THE CURVE

I remember once, some long time ago, my older brother in a moment of extreme frustration yelled, "Look, I'll play by the rules if someone would just tell me what the rules are!" He was in the middle of a changing landscape where he had based his life on a set of rules which kept moving away from him, rules that kept him at a disadvantage. He was finding out that everybody had some arbitrary set of rules requiring him to adapt to the unfamiliar and uncomfortable.(Sort of like the book, "Who Moved My Cheese," where you are in a constant sea of change, trying to catch up with the next set of requirements.)

This came to me as I was reading an article on ethnic quotas over at American Thinker The article says:

"The Boston Globe reports that the University of Massachusetts is setting up a med-school set-aside program: "Under an initiative set to be finalized today, the state's only public medical school [i.e., at UMass] will partner with UMass campuses in Boston, Amherst, Lowell, and Dartmouth to create a joint baccalaureate-MD program that would ensure admission for aspiring doctors from underrepresented ethnic and socioeconomic groups. . . . The medical school will set aside 12 slots in its 125-student, first-year class for qualified students from groups underrepresented among Massachusetts doctors. Those groups include African-Americans, Hispanics, certain Southeast Asians, and Cape Verdeans, Brazilians, and other Portuguese speakers. Students of any ethnic background from low-income families or those among the first in their families to attend college would also qualify."

I am averse to affirmative action and have always been. (There were better and other options to get blacks in inner cities up to the education levels of the norm.) After years of Head Start, Smart Start, and g'zillions of tax dollars thrown at education of the minorities, I can't see that much, if anything, has been accomplished. And now that we have had at least two generations subjected to affirmative action programs, I believe the field has been tilted, not leveled. There now exists a very large chip on the shoulders of minorities and an entitlement mentality. If that is "progress," then you can have it. I don't want it.

I would be willing to bet that announcement from UMASS has everything to do with "Stimulus" money, where the U.S. government will hand out money only IF you play by their rules of affirmative action. So what are the rules?

You can't discriminate on the basis of race or ethnicity....unless you are the Federal Government? And that is what my brother's angst expressed. The rules are different for some people than others. Instead of equal opportunity using the same set of rules for everyone, the government is grading on the curve. The Federal Government for many years now is all about making rules for some people, picking winners and losers, redistributing your money, and using tax dollars to shore up pet programs. (To be fair, it isn't just the Federal Government. Progressives are now in place in all levels of government, local and state.)

The Constitution was written to prevent this very kind of abuse, not that "progressive" government bureaucrats give a tinker's damn about the Constitution. Remember the slogans of the Socialists / Leftists / Progressives / Liberals / Communists are full of anti-Constitutional principles that are cleverly cloaked in language meant to confuse the public. "Social Justice" instead of "Equal Justice," is but one example. "Green Jobs" instead of "Jobs," "Smart Growth" instead of "Economic Growth." They co-opted the education system, the economic system, the judicial system, the banking system, etc. Now going into the health care system and trying to "socialize it" as well. Not equalize it..."socialize" it. Everything the "progressives" do is tilted, graded on the curve of redistribution.

My brother died at age 59, full of angst and frustration. No wonder.

THE GREAT DIVIDE = COLLECTIVISM VS. INDIVIDUALISM PART I

I hate to launch into a philosophical debate on methods of government, but I have recently been reminded that many in our society have not been educated or don't take the time to educate themselves on methods of government or political history or world history. Since they lack the perspective to make educated decisions, they are running straight for the cliff, taking the rest of us with them, with no restraints.

I am an artist. I have made my career in art most of my adult life. This career has led me to own a nationally recognized product, participate in national trade shows, and be responsible for employees. Nine years ago I stepped out of that arena in order to spend more time developing my art, however the lessons learned from that national business were valuable to my perspective on taxes, on employers responsibilities, on trends, and on fiscal responsibilities. Just as a Dr. in private practice owns a business, so did I.

Along the way in my life I have made and lost some friends..as most of us do. Several of these friends were either neighbors or other women who had children the same ages as my children and had some common interests as I had in the domestic areas of life. These several women have never had to make a living on their own. They have lived through their husbands lucrative careers. Each of them have had supplemental jobs, but did not have to live on their own incomes. None of them have ever done without health insurance. Some live in gated communities. Life has been really easy and good for them. Among this group of friends, I was the only one to be divorced, a single mother, without health insurance for 13 yrs., or make my way in life without a wealthy husband or financially supporting parents. I didn't take one dime of government money to survive. I worked my tail off and made my life work without the amenities these women enjoy. Each of these several women friends of mine voted for Obama. Since this last year's election each of these women 'friends' have jumped down the rabbit hole with him and think of themselves as the high and mighty benefactors of Obama's collectivist vision for America. One of them doesn't speak to me anymore. One of them yesterday called me an "extremist." None of them have studied various forms of government or grasp the importance of the U.S. Constitution. Two of them are foreign born. All of them are influenced by the hippie culture of the sixties and hate conservatism. Which is funny because they each have aspired to become the wealthy establishment. They each hate business....as in the media description of those "bad and greedy corporations who make profits." Bad Oil. Bad Insurance. Bad Bankers. Etc. They have no understanding of freedom because they have enslaved themselves to the money of their successful husbands. Most of these have compromised their oaths and either committed adultery or tolerated their husband's adulteries. They gripe and cavil about the husbands' control over them....which they gladly suffer for the trade-off of security.

So I guess it should not surprise me that these women are so easily duped by the propagandists in the media and our government. No surprise. Just disappointment. No backbone. Just declarations of compassion for the poor. Obama is the epitome example of what they are. Taking from someone else to support themselves and promoting socialism. They already live socialism. They know who to kiss up to, to get their skids greased. They are so threatened by individual survival that they despise the idea of it. They have convinced themselves they could not maintain their lifestyles without taking from someone else while compromising principles. And they love their lifestyles. I could go on and on pointing out the hypocrisy I have seen in these friends' lives...but that would take another two posts...and I'm really so tired of the hypocrisy of the left that I don't think I can suffer through writing it..much less making you read it. These women represent a microcosm of a bigger problem. Mass moral decay and lack of principles. And they have turned their fear against me and excluded me from their lives because they are so threatened by my message which is: you don't have to compromise your principles to live a good life and life is better without benevolent (or not) dictators, i.e. government handouts and controls. They want the entire country to live like they do, beholden to a someone with money and force.

I don't see any hope for fixing that problem. It seems, as I write this, impossible to turn around this climate of dependence. I've argued with reason to these women and they can't stand hearing it. I've argued with facts and they disregard them. I've argued with historical perspective and they have none, so they don't care. We are losing the country to people like these, much the same as Germany and the Soviet Union were lost for generations to people like these. And with friends like these, who needs enemies? Rhetorical question there...

ON THE GENERAL WELFARE CLAUSE

The power brokers in Congress and Barrack Obama are hell-bent on convincing the American public that they have the right to enact health care and energy mandates based on the General Welfare reference in the U.S.Constitution. As usual they are abusing their power, misusing the language of the Constitution to suit their own power greed, and twisting words to confuse an uneducated public to become dependent on the federal government in ways the founders never intended. This is tragic and a travesty against the very core of our basic rights.

The General Welfare reference in the U.S. Constitution was meant ONLY to provide support for the individual States to have national defense and provide a basis for the States to be able to conduct their own affairs. In the Federalist Papers, Federalist No. 14, James Madison wrote this: .. the general [federal] government is not to be charged with the whole power of making and administering laws. Its jurisdiction is limited to certain enumerated objects...[emphasis added] Reference Canada Free Press article In fact, the entire purpose of the U.S. Constitution, with deliberate enumerated powers, is to protect Americans from the exact oppression that the current administration is trying to impose on us. Nowhere in the Constitution does the President or the Congress have any of the powers they have usurped with regard to mandates over-riding the jurisdiction of the States.

So what recourse actions do the citizens have when the federal government becomes Jabba the Hut? At this point I'm not sure if there is recourse. Liberals/Communists/Socialists/Progressives have infiltrated most of the education system and indoctrinated three or more generations of students into the "dependent on government" mindset. 56 members of Congress are proud card-carrying members of the Socialist Party. Both Republicans and Democrats have abandoned the U.S. Constitution for the sake of buying votes and padding their own bank accounts. The corruption is massive. The Constitution has been subverted for decades and the population is now at the mercy of treasonous politicians, whose agenda is not supporting and defending the U.S. Constitution, but solidifying their own money machines and power bases.

Elections come and go. The one true thing you can say is that elections have consequences. Americans need to get smart really fast and figure out how to survive the consequences of tyranny. While we have incrementally been losing freedoms for a very long time, the current administration is wrapping us up in chains and promising to never allow us to be free people again. Your health, your energy use, your ability to communicate, your money system, your ability to move about, your opportunity to buy property, all of this is now being taken away from you and placed under the iron thumb of the federal government.

When Obama said he was going to "transform" America, he wasn't kidding. The question that needed to be asked was, "To what?" Now you know. His answer to all things is domination by federal government in all aspects of your life. The irony is that, because of very clever rhetoric, Obama convinced a lot of people that the transformation was going to return America to its original intent. The people who were fed up with government corruption voted for him thinking they were going to get a more transparent and purely American administration. What we got instead was a Chicago style mafia, complete with Communist thugs, taking over every private industry in our country. A very clever ruse indeed. He could get a Nobel Prize for pulling the wool over people's eyes, if there were one.

Your liberty was guaranteed by the Constitution, not your health care or your energy usage. "The people are the natural guardians of the Constitution," according to Alexander Hamilton. It is now up to us to defend it from the power mad in our government. Call congress and exert your natural rights to defend the Constitution. Tell them, NO NO NO on both Obamacare and Cap and Trade. If we don't stop them, the general welfare for all of us is lost.

Repeat a lie often enough.....

Well, you know the rest of that line. If you repeat a lie long and often enough, sooner or later people will begin to believe it. I think the Big O has practiced that technique all of his life. He must have.... he sure is good at it. He does it every time he opens his mouth. Now this week we have a Big O binge on the mainstream news outlets, the night-time shows, etc. He loves to lie to the public so much that you just about can't get away from him....try as you might.

Anyway, I am grabbing some great writing from a guy on Big Hollywood this time. Joseph C. Phillips writes:

"The new left asserts the noble claim that healthcare is a right. A right by definition requires nothing of anyone else except that they do nothing to infringe upon that right. To claim healthcare as a right requires more than that others step out of the way; it requires that others provide it. The rather sticky moral question of how one secures the right of one man to healthcare by violating the right to private property of another is never addressed. Instead those that question the shaky philosophical underpinnings are called evil, heartless Neanderthals that would withhold Chemotherapy from dying children. (Again the fact that our alternative might actually provide more sick children with Chemotherapy thus saving more lives is irrelevant. Intentions count more than results.)

Ohh to be a member of the new left; virtue is only one platitude away.

If healthcare is a right then certainly so must be housing, food and clothing. In order to meet all these new found rights Government must expand and so must its power. This is the new world order the left seeks.

But where will it end? If every need a citizen has, every tragic circumstance he may face – every “should not” is to be addressed by a positive government obligation we will soon find ourselves awash in government without end. We will find ourselves slaves – contented slaves but slaves nonetheless- going to the polls, still believing we are practicing something called democracy. The good news is we will be feeling pretty good about ourselves."

The word "right" has been so bastardized by the liberal / socialist / left, that it is thrown around like a frisbie just to convince people of some government entitlement that does not exist. Sadly, the uneducated are numerous enough, evidently, that many in our country are buying it. I would congratulate the public schools for dumbing people down to the point that they are clueless on the subject of the U.S. Constitution. Obama loves this. It's like the perfect storm. All things are lined up in favor of the liar.

What more can I say...except these are sad and dire times. The best weapon against the liar is the truth. But if a large number of the public doesn't know the truth.....well, there you go....

Obama's Town Halls

It's a slow weekend here, so I actually took the time to watch both of them...the one in Montana and the one in Colorado. I have a few random thoughts.

The first thought is that he keeps bringing up the UPS, Fed Ex, Post Office analogy. I think that is hilarious. I happen to love the U.S. Post Office, but it is running on a deficit. It's broke, folks. Just like Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security...the Post Office can't run on a budget that works. So that must be just what we need, yet another massive government program that will drive us farther into debt. Yep...that's just the ticket.

Oh, yeah, he says he won't go for it unless it is "deficit neutral." I guess he means just like Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security were supposed to pay for themselves, too...right? And I have a bridge in Arizona I want to sell you, too. How many times do we go down the same wrong way street 'til we realize it is the WRONG WAY???

The second thing that always gets to me as I hear him say, "Let me be perfectly clear," or , "The fact of the matter is" is that he is such a used car salesman. He keeps saying, "We don't want to pull the plug on Grandma, we just want to help everybody have health care." What he refuses to acknowledge is that the government has no way to pay for good health care for everyone, so there WILL be rationing. There are not enough doctors in our system to take on half of the 'so called' 47 million people he is talking about covering. And the government is planning, according to the bills, to mandate who can get what kind of care from whom and where. There is NO DOUBT about this if you read the bills.

Socializing any more health care in this country is suicidal....not just to Grandma...but to our country. The last several years, including George Bush, have run our country into such high debt that my grandchildren and their children are likely never to see the end of it. The banking infrastructure was ruined by Carter and Clinton. The energy sector has been ruined by environmental idiots in our government. The manufacturing sector has been ruined by bad trade deals, high taxes, and super regulations by our government. So now they want to drain the health care sector dry and take over your life and death decisions. This is the last straw, folks. It will ruin us.

So I watch him take soft ball questions and get gushing sycophants to tell him how "great" he is in these town halls and I sit there and ask myself, who are these people??? No one gets a follow-up question. He doesn't really address serious questions. He just keeps saying the same talking points and tries to make fun of the very vocal opponents....who, by the way, can't get near one of these town halls to ask him anything. Who, in our great country, is so dumb to swallow this stuff??? I don't get it, folks. I really don't. I cannot imagine that so many people in our country have gotten so gullible that they will follow a used car salesman straight into hell. The problem for those of us with brains is that we are stuck in the same pool with those of us taking us down.

The only encouraging thing I did take in this Saturday was on CSPAN. It was two hours of conservative speakers at a meeting for RightOnline.com. sponsored by Americans for Prosperity. Michelle Malkin gave me some hope. Jim Pinkerton gave a great speech. Grover Norquist was awesome. So was Phil Kerpen. At least there are some very smart folks who see what is coming at us and giving us some hope of stopping the train wreck. Or maybe slowing down the derailing somewhat. At this point it will take a hundred years to get past the damage this man has done in 7 months.

It starts like this: "In a recent teleconference, Barack Obama said that he would greatly reduce the amount of charitable tax deductions individuals and businesses who make over $250K can make on their tax returns in order to help pay for his health care plan. What a horribly conceived idea. This move will cripple many nonprofits across the nation."

There is no end to the theft of the left....now that they have the force of the Federal Government behind them. Take from the rich, give to the poor. What you don't know is that we are all too rich for Obama's taste (including the middle and lower middle class) and he will not stop until he has taken the whole country down. He wants it all and he is greasing the skids to get it all.

This cartoon reminds me of a conversation I once had with one of those "useful idiots," a former friend of mine who LUVS Obama so much that she told me she could not speak to me anymore. This former friend explained to me that she didn't believe in charities because that's what her taxes were for. Her entire view on the subject was that she didn't want to have to think about other people in need, but let "Big Brother" take care of that for her. Evidently she has found her soul mate in the person claiming the Presidency. God forbid she would actually contribute something of her own volition to alleviate some need somewhere.

So there you are. The stress level from following the sad and frustrating news regarding the modus operandi in the Obama administration really got to me this week. Good thing you weren't within earshot for the grouchy words I have found myself uttering...not like me... yelling back at the tv, and grumbling under my breath, clenching my teeth and growling out loud. Are we having fun yet? How's that hope and change work'n out for ya all out there??

So today's latest is that the thugs arranged a force of some sort to yank advertisers from the Glenn Beck show. Chicago mob tactics, anyone?? How dare Glenn Beck speak the truth! Why, how dare anyone actually expose the 'community organizer,' and the gang leaders of arm-twisting creeps they really are! Indeed. The "Audacity" of it all. My My...we are playing hard ball now, aren't we Mr. Tingle up the Leg Chris Matthews? Kill the competition. Kill free speech...unless of course the speech flatters the socialist in chief. Then it's o.k.

The socialist in chief now has a new Czar....one implanted into the FCC. This guy is figuring out how to tax conservative talk radio into oblivion. The plan is to take the equivalent of operating capital out of companies such as Premier Radio and hand it over to the socialist mouthpieces.....it's only "fair" you know. The taxes of course are supposed to pay for NPR and other public sycophants. Can we call this economic rape? I think so.

No charities...no freedom of speech....OMG....Excuse me while I go get the bottle of ipecac again....

You Thought You Knew The News?

Vociferous voices on the left over the last several years have ranted and raved about the so-called corruption of profit making capitalistic ventures, as if the idea of making a living from a profitable business is evil consort with the devil. Those "evil profiteers" are just the scourge of the earth, as portrayed by such people as the Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, who recently proclaimed the insurance companies as "evil" for making profits. (Her family net worth is somewhere between $15 and $55 million USD. and she owns shares in energy co's. which will gain "profits" under the Cap & Trade bill.) How many times over the past several years have you heard the main stream media and congress bash the oil companies for making "profits?" (Fact you should know: Oil companies make .13 per gallon while government makes .58 per gallon in California. In other words, government is making 16% profit with no investment, while oil companies are making 3.7% profit and making all of the investment.)

The voices on the left want you to think that they are taking the "profits" out of government and decimating those dastardly special interest groups who "profit" from government. They want you to think they are doing this for your benefit. This is a blatant lie and I blame journalists for throwing away their ethical obligation to bring you unbiased news reporting. But journalists have been bought out. In fact, the whole category of main stream journalism has been completely usurped by leftist profiteers and their message has become so corrupt that the public is sitting there in the dark, not knowing whom to believe.

So who is corrupting journalism while making profits from news which lies to the public? I would point to the most obvious perpetrator, GE, who owns MSNBC. By lying to the public to get Obama elected, GE is getting government contracts and various other gratuities to build green energy facilities and make huge profits from the government. Great, you say, because that must be better than Haliburton making money from wars. If you say this, you are missing the point. The point is, you were lied to in order to insure another segment of government is playing the corporate corruption game. On the one hand, Haliburton was outsourced by the U.S. to defend the nation. On the other hand, GE is outsourced using public money to make your energy prices higher and higher. You may not care about defending the nation, but do you care if you are lied to in order to enrich a corporation to make your energy prices unaffordable? The Cap and Trade energy policy, benefiting GE, will just make life harder for everyone, including the poorest among us who won't be able to pay the higher energy prices. Your high and mighty environmentalist arrogance just made poor people even poorer. And you just made a corrupt deal with the devil, journalists on the take, who lied to you. Did MSNBC explain that to you?

Yet another example of who is behind this journalistic bombast of lies is a profiteer couple named Herbert and Marion Sandler. You may not have heard of them because they are part of the "behind the scenes" funding operation behind the Democrat / Socialist Party. The Sandlers are former CEO's of Golden West which they sold to Wachovia for $26 billion USD. They personally made around $2.4 billion from the deal. The subsequent near failure of Wachovia is blamed by analysts on the Sandlers mortgage policies which mirrored the failed policies of the CRA (Credit Reinvestment Act). The Sandlers made their billions from the Fannie and Freddie government policies constructed by the left with your tax dollars. Recently the Sandlers have donated to and operate a non-profit journalistic venture called ProPublica, supposedly an investigative journalism organization. They have committed $10 million USD to ProPublica and Mr. Sandler serves as chairman. The Sandlers are major donors to the Democratic Party and are top funders of ACORN, MoveOne.org, the American Civil Liberties Union and other far-leftist groups like Human Rights Watch. Along with George Soros, they are among the top three contributors to the Democrat Party.

So what, you ask? The Associated Press has announced that it is allowing its subscribers to publish, free of charge, work by ProPublica and three other leftist organizations. 1500 American newspapers are subscribers to AP. Folks, AP used to be a respected news source. Now AP has decided to give you more left-wing bias and more unethically bent reporting by people who are Socialists. Why would you believe anything you read in any AP report from this day forward? You know from the outset that it is coming from the Democrat Party, Soros & Co., John Podesta, MoveOn.org., ACORN, and others who have no interest in ethical reporting in journalism in America. Their interest is in twisting the truth to make you believe their lies. Their interest is in eliminating the United States Constitution and national sovereignty, replacing it with global interests and your taxes going into their pet projects from which they make "obscene" profits from our government policies.

Oh, and that sweet fella, Al Gore? He is just saving the planet for you and your children, right? He left the congress with under $1 million USD in 2000. He is now worth in excess of $120 million USD , thanks to MoveOn.org (brought to you by George Soros and the Sandlers) and the media reporting his lies on Global Climate Change, formerly known as Global Warming, formerly (way before that) as Global Cooling. His connections to MoveOn.org are common knowledge. Now do you see who is "profiteering" from our government and your taxes? Now do you see who is lying to you to further their own selfish agenda? And do you really think this is some altruistic, utopian, Democrat Party who is just doing such great things for you and your life? Can you believe AP? Hmmmmm....I don't think so.

So while you are wondering why the media is attacking Sarah Palin and Rush Limbaugh, ask yourself why? An uninformed and misinformed public is the best friend of the left. Live it, love it, eat it for breakfast with your morning newspaper. Read Marx's "Communist Manifesto" for lunch. And read Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals" for dinner. Read George Orwell and Ayn Rand before bedtime. Keep the U.S. Constitution with you at all times. You will see things a lot clearer. Unless you are lazy and you really don't care what disasters are lying ahead for your children.

Truthful information is key. Opinions of those who have educated insights is key. Moral fortitude in the face of detractors is virtuous. Support of the original Constitution of the United States is the only path worth following. Informing the public is critical to the success of our country.

The Language of the Left

Co-opting words is what leftists are best at doing. It's their path to societal disintegration. It is the sharpest tool in their belts, only next to the biggest tool in the belt, i.e. the force of the government itself. Twisting words in the political vocabulary is the diabolical method with which they draw and quarter each respected institution, dividing humanity into disparate and confused lots of individuals trying to find sense out of chaos. The goal is to convince the masses that the only institution existing in which to cling is the government. Not family. Not church. Not the Boy Scouts. Not the Girl Scouts. Not the Lion's Club. Nothing other than government can do for you what you seek in life. Only government is your salvation. Transposing family, church, and social organizations into "the government" is the leftists ultimate goal.

One example of political vocabulary is how the word "fairness" is taught to our children in government schools as "collectivism." i.e."It isn't "fair" that Joe has more than Jack, even though Joe worked harder, studied more, and earned his way into a higher salary job." The leftist illogical reasoning is that Jack should get part of Joe's earnings because it would only be "fair." Children are told they must share in order to be "fair," whether they choose to or not. The left co-opted the word "fair" and made sure entire generations of children were taught a false definition in order to fulfill their cause, the collectivist society otherwise known as Communism. The real definition of "fair" in this context is that you get to keep what you earn. No one else has the right to take away what you earn. But we are in Leftist-World now where words don't mean what they really mean. They mean what Communists want them to mean.

Another word used in nearly every public announcement from our government officials today is the word "progress."

In announcements from our government and the majority of our media "progress" has become a euphemism for government taking over every institution in our country. "Progress" is now all about government telling you what is good for you.... instead of your individual success at achieving your own goals without the interference of government. Instead of following our American creed of self-government, we are being forced into government enslavement by people who refer to themselves as "Progressives." They like you to think they are called Democrats, but that is just another ruse. "Progressives" have taken over the Democrat Party which has slowly been infiltrated by Communists since the early 1900's. Seventy-one congress members are members of the Progressive Caucus which is heavily connected to the Democratic Socialists of America. They like you to think this "progress" is new and exciting and is getting rid of all those old bad, fuddy-duddy, corrupt ways of old America. Not one of these people upholds their oath to the U. S. Constitution. In fact, Communists have called themselves "Progressives" since the early 1900's in order to avoid the bad connotation of the label Communist. And they did that on purpose. You see, they think you are stupid. They think if you call a cucumber an apple for about a 100 years, pretty soon everybody will think a cucumber is an apple. And the sorry news is that they have succeeded in twisting words to fool a large majority of the public into voting for Communists while thinking they are voting for Democrats.

The gist is that they want you to believe that it is "progress" to get rid of the individual and create a world where no one exists except for the good for the world. The ironic joke here is that without individual success, there is no "good for the world." If you foster nothing but working for the "collective," you have abolished human progress entirely. This has been tried and failed over and over again since the Communist revolution in Russia, again in China, in North Korea and in Cuba. Yet they persist. You wonder why? Because it creates an elite group of power brokers in government, people who don't really know how to do anything but tell other people how to live or manipulate political policies to gain their own fortunes. These misguided and malignant power brokers gain financially and stroke their own egos by telling themselves they are doing good and creating "progress." The truth is they are no better than tin pot dictators who don't believe in individual freedoms. They are control freaks making you work your life away for their power. We in America are under siege by a Democrat Party that is nothing more than Communists on the take. And you are the ones being taken. From Cap and Tax to Socialized Universal Health Care to Green Initiatives to Social Engineering, America is being wrecked by "Progress." A word that today is nothing more than Communism in disguise.

Two million jobs lost since the Stimulus Bill was passed. One trillion dollar debt in six months. The economic bleeding has just begun. That's "Progress" folks!

Enemies More Domestic

After years of the left and the media demonizing Senator Joseph McCarthy, time has proven that McCarthy was correct in his allegations against the Communist threat infiltrating the American government. This actually was proven a few years ago (look at this) so Hollywood launched a movie (look at this) on the spot, starring George Clooney, to once again smear McCarthy and undermine the truth. The oath taken by government officials in current times to "protect America from enemies both foreign and domestic" has become nothing more than a joke because of Socialist corruption in our government. So many of them are "domestic" enemies, that they might as well be swearing on a stack of comic books. In that light, I want to say I admire Joseph McCarthy and his courage to expose the Communist plotters who wanted to take down the United States.

Why am I concerned with this now? You know the saying...those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it. As I've said previously, I am not usually prone to jump onto "conspiracy" theories. I don't like walking around the earth paranoid. It isn't comfortable and not my usual nature. But I also can't just sit here and watch my country get lied to day after day and watch my children's futures just get sucked down the tubes.

But, as my post (two posts down) shows, there are "card carrying" Socialists in our government. Is a Socialist a Communist? Well....what do you think? Ask Marx!

When Communism got slapped down in the 1930's the ideology did not go away. It morphed. The very insidious enemy of the United States decided to change it's vocabulary to make it more palatable. (put a whole lotta ketchup on that cardboard sandwich.) They realized they weren't going to subvert America in one generation. They took the "death by inches" (also known as "death by a thousand cuts) approach. They decided they would hide the "Communist" moniker and go for the "Socialist" nomenclature. They have co-opted the word Democracy, making you think that Democracy means a guaranteed result of wealth for everyone. Now, instead of calling themselves "Liberals" they call themselves "Progressives." So clever they are. What person is going to say they don't want "Progress?" If you don't want "Progress," why, you must be an old fuddy duddy stick in the mud who is passe.....think "Bitter Clinger." One of their most effective strategies is to redefine the language. And they are succeeding...unless you recognize it and call them exactly what they are: lying Communist traitors.

There are enemies of freedom afoot in our government. They don't believe in freedom. They believe in Communism, totalitarian government rule over all of us. They don't believe in free enterprise. They believe in "Nationalizing" every business / industry in the country. They are doing it by way of "a thousand cuts." The "Stimulus Bill" of today might as well be incorporated into the "Communist Manifesto." That is exactly what it is, in its original form.

If the public would or could wise up to the vocabulary tricks of the Socialists who are taking over our country...then maybe we would have a chance to save ourselves. But as long as Hollywood, the media, and the politicians are going to lie, cheat, steal, subvert freedom, pervert the language we speak, and all the while....call it "Progress" (Hope and Change, see my definitions in previous post)...the air is filled with the stench of a dying corpse of what used to be America.

If you are reading this and you have any courage at all, use your voice to speak out against them. They are showing themselves brashly and with arrogance. You can make a difference by telling them exactly what you think of their Communist / Socialist language.
