LOOK BEHIND THE CURTAIN -CLINTON'S GLOBAL INITIATIVE FOR GLOBAL FABIAN SOCIALISM

I've been busy working here, still against that cute little Agenda 21 regional structure called "Sustainable Communities Initiative."  The County vote is tomorrow evening.  At this point, I think I have done all I can do....alerting Commissioners, getting info for them, relaying info from other elected officials in other cities, gathering support from citizens, published an op-ed in the paper.....all I can do.  So we will see what happens.  Just praying for enlightened, strong Commissioners.  Hope they don't fail us.

So onto Clinton, aka Slick Willie. His wife is no better, in fact maybe worse.  But ole Bill always gets a pass and lots of idolizing from all directions. Is anyone watching what this grinning Cheshire Cat is doing?  I've been sick to see the praise he gets.  And even Romney accepted the invitation to speak at Clinton's Global Initiative (CGI) Conference, which of course takes place the same time as the UN convenes Heads of State.  This way he can grab all of them.  Romney's speech gave me pause, to say the least.  Supporting the Global Socialists with Clinton at the helm should worry every American.   Fox News Transcript here

The CGI is Global for a reason.  Clinton has the same egotistical desire to mold the earth into his own image as Obama has.   And the image is Fabian Socialism, have no doubts.  Both of them will use whatever tools to take down America, be it fascism or outright socialism.
Here you will see the incredible power behind Bill and Hillary Clinton on this extensive 49 page list . For example, on the list are many of the world’s most powerful media representatives, bankers, the Rothschilds etc. There are well over a thousand leading individuals on the list that are secretly funding and supporting the Clintons.

And Bill Clinton was a Rhodes Scholar for a reason.  The Rhodes Scholarship, set up by the Cecil Rhodes Foundation, is to further the cause of global socialism on behalf of the wealthy who get to rule and enjoy all of the resources they deny to others. All Rhodes Scholars have to show promise of that goal in order to qualify.  Nice.

CGI has "TRACKS" to accomplish its goals, published on the website here.
The "tracks" miss nothing in managing everyone's everyday life.  Here is a list of them:
The Built Environment
Education and Workforce
Energy and Ecosystems
Girls and Women
Global Health
Market-based Responses
Response and Resilience - Emergency Relief
Technology

Gee, that's funny.  It looks a lot like Agenda 21.  Wonder why....
Here is a quote from the site, "In the CGI community, today’s foremost thinkers meet tomorrow’s groundbreaking solutions. Thought leaders and visionaries push the conversation forward,"

There we are with those "Thought leaders" and "Visionaries" again.

If you want to know what the Clintons believe in collusion with the UN, here is a synopsis:
  • The redistribution of human and financial resources (through migration, a global economy and a global welfare system).
  • A uniform worldwide education system that would standardize both social "learning" and work skills everywhere.
  • Control of the mainstream media and other propaganda channels. Professor Carrol Quigley wrote in Tragedy and Hope,

"There grew up in the 20th century a power structure between London and New York which penetrated deeply into university life, the press, and the practice of foreign policy. The American branch of this 'English Establishment' exerted much of its influence through five American newspapers (New York Times and Herald Tribune, Christian Science Monitor, Washington Post...) [4.Quigley, 953]

  • A supportive "civil society" (including business, community groups, the news and entertainment media, churches, etc) prepared to lead the masses toward cultural and religious synthesis in communities and organizations around the world using the dialectic process -- a strategy well tested and proven in the former Soviet Union. (Many participants -- including churches -- may never know how their new business practices and small group dialogues help undermine traditional values and prepare their members for the new global society.)

By the way, there is a "visionary" named Zelda who holds a spot at the Cleveland County Fair, if you'd like to have her give you "visions."  (Took that joke from a dear friend of mine...thought you would like it. He actually told one of our County Commissioners he'd buy him a ticket to go see Zelda if he wanted "visions!!"....don't you love it???)
In New York this week....with the UN...Bill Clinton and world leaders planning your life and mine.  Constitution?  What Constitution?

I love America.  These are tragic days to witness.  To think anyone, let alone Mitt Romney, in this country would praise the twisted, sick minds of the Clintons is enough to send us all to Zelda for help.  Instead, I pray to God for help to defeat His enemies and our nation's enemies.

UNSUSTAINABLE OXYMORONS

Marxist Capitalists?? Fascist Capitalists? It struck me today how oxymoronic things are becoming. A capitalist company that spends lots of time, energy, and money supporting Marxist or Fascist causes doesn't make any sense to me. But I'm seeing it everywhere I look. This is an oxymoron. How did that happen? How does a perfectly sound, profit seeking, company get sucked into green policies that are, by definition, anti-capitalistic? The other thing I am seeing continually lately is that professional trade organizations are pushing their members into Marxist-Fascist philosophy with regard to doing business.

Something weird is going on within the business world. Something really weird. Public Private Partnership (PPP's) are permeating business operations in the U.S. these days. Hybrids. Not quite private business, yet not quite government. Businesses performing the bidding of government. Government partnering with businesses. Public funds going straight to businesses with lots of fanfare and hoopla! As if this is just the greatest thing on earth. When all along, I thought the leftist-progressives hated the military industrial complex, but now they are all about a government industrial complex?? (GM. GE. Gee whiz)

I was thinking today of the rise of Six Sigma, how it exploded into the business world and became all the rage. Product quality, just-in-time inventory management, cost-benefit analysis and savings, rewards systems, all were taking the manufacturing sector by storm. Pretty soon, everyone who was going anywhere on the upward mobility ladder had to have a green belt, or a black belt, or some sort of belt in Six Sigma. History of Six Sigma By the mid 1990's Six Sigma was the IT method of doing business and the IT credential to have.

I bring this up because as I was thinking about the "Sustainable Development" doctrine and it struck me that the same exact trajectory has taken place and just as fast, if not faster. Sustainable Development is the new Six Sigma, i.e. the newest, latest trend of choice for our way of life, including doing business. The difference is that Six Sigma was just about business practices...where Sustainable Development is about business and government collaborating to tell us how to live. What this tells me is two things: One of them is; people are like sheep, being led into herds going in the same direction as fast as the trends will take them. (Just when you hoped you might be surrounded by other adults, you find out they are all junior high kids who look older, but have an adolescent compulsion to jump on the band wagon with everyone else.) The other thing it tells me, in the case of Sustainable Development, is that education does not seem to have anything to do with critical thinking, common sense, or any other real life skills.

So now it is Sustainable Development. This is the latest IT thing. Except in this case it is a political ideology more than an actual business method...at least as we traditionally think of business. Some few recommended methods come with it, but it is actually a philosophy of social construct, leading businessmen and women to deny capitalism for the sake of altruism. Now that is an amazing turn of the trends..from Six Sigma to Sustainable Development. These two business philosophies are not cut of the same cloth. One is about the goal of producing goods with efficiency and successful economics, resulting in profits. The other is about the goal of business providing benefit to the common good, to society on the terms of social justice by participating in government projects in manners proscribed by the government, economic soundness be damned.

At the same time, thousands of non-profits have popped up promoting themselves as the latest purveyor of Sustainable Development. History of Sustainable Development IT has become so huge that one could not begin to tell the billions of dollars being thrown at IT. IT calls itself "green," but goes much further. IT is all encompassing redefinition of the culture of doing business.

IT has penetrated the American Institute for Architects, The U.S. Building Council (Now called the U.S. Green Building Council), The American Planning Association, the Chamber of Commerce, and all sorts of professional organizations. HGTV promotes Green houses. We have Green cars, Green appliances, Green clothing, Green decorating, Green foods, Green construction, Green Grocers, Green jobs, Green energy, on and on. None of these green things have a whit to do with sound business policies. Though, the purveyors pretend the opposite. In fact, green is costing everyone more, creating products no one wants, forcing lifestyles no one wants, and generally is just tilting at windmills. (pun intended)

So why is this an oxymoron? There is nothing in any of this that permits business to operate just for the sake of doing practical market based business. In order to do business according to the green IT people, you must be using "Best Practices." What are "Best Practices?" "Best Practices" means using your business to promote the redistribution of wealth, social justice, less use of any resource to produce and sell products, and you must pass these standards through the same professional organizations who are spreading this nonsense throughout the land. "Best Practices" in the case of building, means pushing the cost of building out of reach of most people. "Best Practices" means forcing people to purchase things they don't want, such as Smart recycling bins with RFID chips. "Best Practices" means hiring people with inadequate skills to make the government happy and get tax deductions. "Best Practices" in most cases means either doing business on government terms or go out of business. Sometimes, in this topsy turvy world, it means doing business on government terms which cause you to go out of business. Woo Hoo....figure that one out.

This is a contagion of some very un-American, anti-constitutional, dogma that is has infiltrated the business world in America. Opportunists have taken the Climate Change, Global Warming, Sustainable Development lies and woven a net around the American people, some of whom must be just deaf, dumb, and blind to these lies. You can't do business any more without proving to some radical environmentalist group that you are "Green" enough to suit them. The radical environmentalist group now has become your professional trade organization. You want credentials or license? Pass the Sustainability test.

You might be thinking "Green" is good business. (as opposed to bad business?) I'm here to tell you that "Green + Sustainability" may get you some government grants and subsidies. IT might get you some public relations points to make your customers believe the same propaganda. IT may get you some tax deductions. IT pretends to be a lot of things. But IT isn't good business. Why? Because these "Green + Sustainability" policies have turned into crony capitalism, which then turns into Fascism and eventually becomes pure Marxism.

Plus, you don't get the tax deductions, grants and subsidies, or contracts from government unless you are IT enough to get gold stars from the professional organizations you are paying dues to in order to have licenses and accreditation. Frankly, this is outright extortion...that is if you want those particular jobs or if you want to be a "socially acceptable" business.

As we've seen today with Barack Obama's Solyndra Solar Panels scandal, our government is throwing money into the trash bin for "Green" jobs. This is a waste of our money, to say the least. But it speaks to the larger issue of corruption in our government using our taxes to force people into the global Marxist scheme of "Sustainable Development." The DOE was the agency that funneled the $500 million into Solyndra. But folks, that is hardly even the tip of the iceberg. Every agency and Obama Czar is throwing buckets of our money into companies and local governments to comply with Marxist policies. Maybe the Chamber of Commerce should take note of what happens when the government gets involved with stupid schemes like solar panels that cannot produce the energy as advertised and are not profitable products. (Instead, our local regional Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a "Green Conference" next weekend.)

Some examples at these links below. The first one is a Green Chamber competing with the normal Chamber of Commerce. A link from this page is for a new corporation designation just for businesses who promote Sustainable Development, called a B corporation. The B stands for "Benefit." Isn't that nice? I guess S corps. and C corps. aren't enough for these guys. It's a parallel universe....all for the new IT. The B Corp. folks are petitioning our North Carolina legislature to create this new corporate status. They have actually found support in our legislature. Watch out for this.

OBAMA LOVES AMERICAN DEBT - THE PROOF IS IN THE PUDDING

Let me see if I can make sense of President Obama's debt policy for the United States. Oh, that's right. Nothing makes sense from this President. So while he is on TV discussing how concerned he is that America might default on the nation's debt, he has directed our State Department to transfer $100 Billion of our money to the United Nations. What a good idea! We are $14.5 Trillion in debt and borrowing money from "other nations" so we can then pay interest on the loans with one hand while we hand over billions to "other nations" with the other hand. Hmmm...and President Obama doesn't connect this with our debt problem?

Accuracy in Media Explains below

"In addition to the annual gift of $1.33 billion to the Global Fund, President Obama has agreed to provide billions more for UN projects.

The U. S. State Department yesterday announced that the Obama Administration has agreed to contribute $4 billion to the United Nations Global Fund to fight AIDs, Tuberculosis, and Malaria from 2011 to 2013.

In addition to the annual gift of $1.33 billion to the Global Fund, President Obama has agreed to provide billions more for UN projects.

These allocations are set forth in a 28 page document as follows:

  • Funnel $63 billion to the Global Health Initiative during the next six years
  • Make $1 billion annually to education programs
  • Give $475 million to the Global Agricultural and Food Security Program’
  • Provide $800 million from the Overseas Private Investment Corporation to Muslim-majority countries in the Middle East and North Africa. An additional $3.2 billion will be provided by private equity capital sources to these Muslim nations
  • Shell out millions more available through USAID for developing tech hubs in Uganda, Kenya, Cameroon, South Africa, and Senegal.
  • Dole out $80 million through the Overseas Private Investment Corporation for small to medium enterprises in the Middle East and North Africa.
  • Cough up $2.5 billion annually to 90 countries to “strengthen governance and democratic institutions.”
  • Make available $30 billion through the Obama’s Climate Change Initiative to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. In addition, $100 billion a year will be provided through taxpayer and private resources to deal with the alleged threat of global climate change.
The United States is assessed at 22% of the U.N. regular budget and more than 27% for U.N. the peacekeeping budget. Mr. Obama has requested $516.3 million for the U.N. regular budget and more than $2.182 billion for the peacekeeping budget for 2011."

Sometimes there is nothing more to say. This is one of those times. The proof is in the pudding.

WHERE SOVEREIGNTY WENT

A few posts back I asked a question regarding the implementation by a President of an unratified treaty. I was seeking legal counsel on the subject, but so far have not received legal advice. Still waiting...I decided to research some more....

In case you think a President has restricted powers and that our election of a President is a rather inconsequential exercise of our voting process, you might want to rethink that. Yes, our Constitution gives each branch of government restrictions, "checks and balances" if you will. Not to let a little thing like that get in the way...our recent Presidents have completely ignored the premise of Constitutional restraint.

Evidently, the United States of America has hopped onto a process where we do things based on the United Nations' ideas of how America should be operating. The reason this has come to my attention is the implementation of a United Nations Treaty...under the name of the Rio Treaty or the Kyoto Treaty or Agenda 21...not three different treaties, but the same treaty under different names. (again, the global Marxists keep changing the names of things to deflect criticism and continue on their happy march to global Marxism.)

From Bill Clinton's creation of the President's Council on Sustainable Development, to Obama's creation of the White House Rural Council, we have two Presidents implementing Agenda 21, a United Nations treaty, WITHOUT Congressional approval.

Why would they do this?? They do it because #1. they know the treaty is not compatible with the United States Constitution, and #2. they know the people of the United States would not vote for one iota of it, and 3. they can put the revenue stream in place without our consent over use of our own money. So they do it anyway...by executive orders.

Well, the last time I checked, the President of the United States does not have dictatorial powers. These executive orders are illegal representations of a United Nations treaty that the American people don't want. Legal counsel, please advise.

Wikipedia on the word "Treaty" - Sole Executive Agreement

"A party's consent to a treaty is invalid if it had been given by an agent or body without power to do so under that state's domestic law. States are reluctant to inquire into the internal affairs and processes of other states, and so a “manifest” violation is required such that it would be “objectively evident to any State dealing with the matter". A strong presumption exists internationally that a head of state has acted within his proper authority. It seems that no treaty has ever actually been invalidated on this provision."

"A strong presumption exists internationally that a head of state has acted within his proper authority????" Well, I suggest we'd better not "presume" such a thing in the case of United States' Presidents, because they have done just the opposite. Electing a President who refuses to adhere to the will of the people or respect the U.S. Constitution is obviously a bigger problem than most people realize. Hence, the Presidential election is not so inconsequential after all...is it? We used to think that Congress and the Constitution held the reins on Presidents. Evidently not so much.

Wikipedia on the word "Treaty"

"In the United States, the term "treaty" has a different, more restricted legal sense than exists in international law. U.S. law distinguishes what it calls treaties from executive agreements, congressional-executive agreements, and sole executive agreements. All four classes are equally treaties under international law; they are distinct only from the perspective of internal American law. The distinctions are primarily concerning their method of ratification. Whereas treaties require advice and consent by two-thirds of the Senate, sole executive agreements may be executed by the President acting alone. Some treaties grant the President the authority to fill in the gaps with executive agreements, rather than additional treaties or protocols. And finally, congressional-executive agreements require majority approval by both the House and the Senate, either before or after the treaty is signed by the President."

Under the United States Constitution, no treaty is valid unless it is ratified by Congress. Yet, we now have Presidents implementing United Nations treaties and edicts without the consent of our representative Congress and thereby, without the consent of the American people. Evidently, from that last paragraph, a sole executive agreement is a treaty by executive order, the President acting alone. Yet, our Constitution requires Congressional ratification of a formal treaty. I'm confused. Are you??

I searched further to find that there is such a thing as a "sole executive agreement." This is also considered a treaty. I found more on that:
"Additionally, an international accord that is inconsistent with the U.S. Constitution is void under domestic U.S. law, the same as any other federal law in conflict with the Constitution. This principle was most clearly established in the case of Reid v. Covert.[8] The Supreme Court could rule an Article II treaty provision to be unconstitutional and void under domestic law, although it has not yet done so."Cite Wikipedia on Treaty-Clause

"Although it has not yet done so????" Drat the luck! So, even if a President agrees to a United Nations treaty by his signature and / or implements the tenets of a treaty, it is still subject to adherence to the U.S. Constitution. But no one has nullified such actions?? No process or matter of regulation coming through our government by way of the United Nations' treaty compliance regarding sovereign land use, water use, energy use, etal, is consistent with our Constitutional rights. The rub is that we have local and state elected officials complying with the processes and regulations, thereby implementing a UN treaty, and bypassing referendum or voter consent in doing this. The process has become corrupt. The funding and dictates are coming from the executive branch of our government in order to implement the wishes of the United Nations for control over the U.S. Am I the only one who sees something wrong with this??

Our only hope is to UNELECT those who participate in this corrupt scheme of anti-Constitutional dictates, from Presidents all the way down to city councils and county commissioners.

Back to the Agenda 21 (Sustainable Development and Smart Growth) question of treaty implementation without the American voters' consent, I am still looking for legal counsel on the subject. There is nothing in our Constitution which gives the United Nations authority over our land use, energy use, water use, building codes, or anything else within the purview of our sovereign lands. Somehow American Presidents are swearing to uphold our Constitution, but at the same time, putting United Nations' orders and regulations into place using our Federal government as force and our taxes as funding. All of this without Congressional consent.

This is where our sovereignty went. How and when do we get it back??

MUMBO JUMBO RHUBARB RHUBARB YAK YAK YAK

I came across this video quite by accident the other day as I was thinking to myself, "Stop The World I Want To Get Off." Seriously, that line came into my mind (don't ask) and I googled it....and when I did, up popped this video. (Hat tips to Anthony Newley, the British song writer and singer behind the play, "Stop The World I Want To Get Off") I realize this song is directed at the British political system, not the U.S. (and the heavy British accents make it a little difficult to catch the lyrics, though if you watch it more than once you'll pick it up. The last line promises "free false teeth to all!" referring to socialized health care.) Nevertheless, it seemed so apropos to our current political class in the U.S. (and elsewhere) that I just couldn't resist sharing it.

The "opportunist candidate" in the video is Mr. Littlechap who, interestingly enough, remarks on the Chinese having the bomb and references Chinese laundry and Asian nights in our futures. That song was sung in 1966. Here we are 44 years later and I have to ask...is anyone surprised about the Chinese taking us down economically? Really? Is there anyone out there in America, finding nothing but Chinese and/or foreign made merchandise in the stores, actually surprised at the pickle we find ourselves in?

Not sure if showing this video will make people laugh and contemplate our fate as it did me.  The video is from the 1960's, which tells me nothing is new under the sun.  Forty-four years ago politicians were just as smarmy as they are today.  The difference between now and then is probably exposure.  We have non-stop media exposure to the Rhubarb Rhubarb Yak Yak Yak.

Wikileaks exposes the obvious.

The Chinese were moving in on our Western economies a long time ago, with our government's complicity.

The American State Department, over many years, has morphed into a spy agency to try to figure it all out.  It may have always been so, as we know the foreign embassies in America have acted in similar mode.

Knowing these things after the fact doesn't change history or previous deeds, though it does give us perspective to stop repeating the same stupid mistakes.

The leftists and globalists in the American government have handed the Chinese the keys to take us down.  No, really???  Yes, really.

We have funded our own suicide.  No, really???  Yes, really.  (Just one example...cooperation with the Chinese and Russians and North Korea has allowed them to arm Iran, which threatens Israel, our only ally in the middle east.)  Why would we do that?

Wikileaks shows us what American citizens have known in their guts for a long time, that our government has been inept and ignoring the U.S. Constitution for a hundred years.

The question now is this:  What is the motivation for releasing the Wikileaks documents to the mainstream public?  Is the motivation to wake up America to get us back on the right track?  Or is the motivation to tear down any possible faith we might have that we can have a government that works in our best interests?  And if the latter is the motivation, which I think it is, who steps into the void?  The UN?  George Soros?  The Chinese?  The IMF?  In other words, is the Wikileaks release another manipulation of people...to make people  think what someone wants us to think?  If people cannot trust their own government, who do they turn to?   Mumbo Jumbo, Rhubarb Rhubarb, Yak, Yak, Yak.

(as an aside, I notice the pun of the letters U and N creating the UN-government.  It's a pun if you think about it.  It's a bad joke if you know what the UN is.....the ungovernment.)

Does mutually assured destruction, either with war weapons or economic weapons make you feel comfortable, give you peace of mind?  Are you more comfortable with a trade war or a trade system that ends in mutually assured destruction anyway?  One is fast and furious and ugly.  One is slow and methodical and ugly.  Power struggles are reality.  The question is how we go about them.  And while we go about them, are there principles of truth to keep us on the right path?  Is it possible to trade with other nations on the basis of truth?  Is it possible to conduct a sovereign government in a corrupt world on the basis of truth?  Do we twist our truth into lies to meet the corrupt demands of others in order to create what?  Mutually Assured Destruction? Who wants that?

Wikileaks exposes the obvious.  It isn't pretty.

Reagan was right.  "This is the last stand on earth."

OBAMA IS PART OF ECO-TERRORISM = IT ISN'T YOU, IT'S THEM

Paul Driessen from Climate Depot has written a superb article explaining exactly what you need to know about Climate Change and the United Nations screwing with our ability to procure and maintain energy for our populations. I was inspired to copy the entire article here for you. So many villains, it is hard to name them all. Please read the article below and pass it along to any and all of your friends and family!!

In order to "get it" you have to understand how and why the propagandists have completely ruined the brains of mush of the mass public to get people on board with this insane Climate Change idiocy!
It's all about money and control and power and socialist tyranny. Read on:

Misguided Environmentalists Are Destroying Biodiversity

by Paul Driessen

The Soviet Union's demise helped usher in manmade catastrophic global warming as the new "central organizing principle of civilization." Now, global warming is giving way to a growing recognition that: climate change is primarily natural, cyclical and moderate; China, India and other countries will not sacrifice CO2-generating economic growth to prevent speculative climate crises; and carbon taxes strangle competitiveness, destroy jobs and send families into fuel poverty.

Thus, while not recanting predictions of disastrous climate change, environmental activists and the United Nations are already launching a new campaign. The real threat to the planet, they now assert, is the impact of modern energy technologies and civilization on biodiversity. The case for saving species, they insist, is even "more powerful" than the need to address climate change.

They seek to preserve biodiversity by controlling people's energy use, economic activities and population - through new regulations and taxes under the auspices of the United Nations and global treaties. These efforts, they claim, will generate benefits "worth $4-5 trillion per year" (based on questionable studies and computer models that underscore the intrinsic value of species and biodiversity).

To accept these claims, one would have to ignore the sordid history of Climategate and the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change - and believe a larger, more powerful United Nations will somehow ensure honesty, transparency, and accountability for misfeasance, misrepresentation, intimidation, and adverse impacts on people and economic growth. One would also have to ignore a growing body of evidence that:

The greatest threats to the world's species are misguided environmental and anti-technology policies.

Among the policies adversely impacting biodiversity are the following.

* Intense opposition to coal, gas, nuclear and hydroelectric plants for generating the electricity that two billion people worldwide so desperately need. Not only does this force people to rely on open fires for heating and cooking - perpetuating poverty, lung disease and premature death. It also destroys mountain gorilla and other wildlife habitats, as people cut trees for fires and charcoal.

China and India are self-financing hundreds of power projects, to avoid conditions placed by wealthy countries on World Bank and other international loans. But poor countries must still rely on such loans - and thus must run gauntlets laid down by regulators and environmental activists who oppose critically needed power plants and the economic growth and middle class living standards the plants generate.

* Steadfast promotion of expensive, unreliable wind and solar power. Wind turbines slice up birds and collapse bat lungs. Turbines and solar arrays would have to cover millions of acres to provide power for cities. They require ultra-long transmission lines and backup gas generators, and consume millions of tons of concrete, steel, copper, fiberglass, polymers and rare earth (lanthanide) minerals - all of which have to extracted from the Earth and processed into finished products, burning fossil fuels and generating mining wastes and air and water pollution.

Con Ed had to generate some 13,500 megawatts to meet New York City's air conditioning and other electricity needs during the recent July heat wave. The 600-turbine Roscoe wind farm blankets 100,000 Texas acres to generate 780 MW at full capacity. That means NYC would need a wind farm 1.6 times the size of Connecticut (5 million acres or 2 million hectares), if the turbines are running at an average 30% of capacity. But during the heat wave, there's barely a breeze.

Now multiply that habitat demand times the world's biggest cities, and calculate the biodiversity impact. No wonder the wind industry wants exemptions from endangered species rules and environmental impact studies that hyper-regulate fossil fuel and nuclear companies. No wonder Senator Diane Feinstein has introduced legislation to prohibit solar panel installations in the super-sunny Mojave Desert.

* Equally passionate advocacy for biofuels, especially ethanol. Every 7 billion gallons of corn-based ethanol requires crops grown on an area the size of Indiana (23 million acres) - and Congress now wants the USA to produce 20 billion gallons of EtOH annually by 2020. In addition to expropriating vast crop land and wildlife habitat, ethanol production requires billions of gallons of water, millions of tons of fertilizer and insecticides, and enormous quantities of natural gas and diesel fuel to power tractors, tanker trucks and conversion plants - to distill a fuel that gets 20% fewer mpg than gasoline.

And yet, President Obama told a Ghanaian audience in July 2009 that malnourished Africa should forego even gas-fired electricity generators in favor of wind, solar and biofuel power. The continent and its arid, nutrient-depleted soils already cannot feed their populations adequately, and the President wants them to divert cropland and wildlife habitats to biofuels. Meanwhile, environmental activists continue to ...

* Oppose biotechnology, genetically engineered crops and even hybrid seeds. These specialized crops survive better during droughts, increase farm family incomes, improve nutrition, and reduce the need for insecticides. They offer the best hope for growing more biofuel crops on less acreage.

The New York Times says we can ill afford "not to make the best use of genetic engineering." If we "allow propaganda to trump science, then the potential for global agriculture to be productive, diverse and sustainable will go unfulfilled." The late Dr. Norman Borlaug warned that forcing the world to rely on organic and traditional farming to feed even current populations would require plowing under nearly every remaining acre of forest and grassland habitat. That's without factoring in biofuels.

And yet, environmentalists and EU bureaucrats threaten African nations with punitive boycotts if they plant biotech crops. Radical greens want Third World farmers to rely on "traditional" seeds and agricultural methods, and oppose the use of seeds that have been "touched by corporations."

* Environmentalists also oppose timber cutting and even tree thinning and mechanized fire suppression on vast acreage of US national forests. Too often the result is fiery conflagrations that incinerate trees, wildlife, soil and streams, causing extensive erosion and long-term habitat loss.

* Topping it off, the Environmental Protection Agency's recent endangerment decision, low-carbon fuel standards, and power plant emission rules will force even greater expansion of wind, solar and biofuel use, further impacting habitats and biodiversity.

It is bad enough that "biodiversity stabilization" is a reprise of past government-environmentalist eco-scares. Like its predecessors, the new program offers horrifying predictions of a dying planet - backed by little more than dubious theories, assumptions, assertions and statistics, fed into fancy computer models that generate ominous scenarios and graphics. It also proposes the same tired "solutions" - more taxes, regulations, and government control over lives, energy development and economic growth.

The far greater problem is that the UN, EPA, "mainstream media" and political establishment are ignoring the real threats to habitats, species and biodiversity: the anti-energy, anti-technology, anti-people agenda of radical green ideology.

We now have an opportunity to make Earth a better place for people and the natural world. We need to reject this agenda, demand sound science and solid evidence that a treat exists, and recognize that modern technology actually offers the best hope for protecting the diversity of species.

SUSTAINABLE? NOT SO MUCH

Article worth reading on Sustainable Development and what that means to America

The above article is one of the most comprehensive descriptions of what the UN Agenda 21 and Global Government is doing to undermine the principles of liberty and to take down America. Right now there are so many operatives of this agenda in our government that I am not at all sure what it will take to rid ourselves of them. Nothing that is happening is a coincidence. Crises are being orchestrated and manipulated to hand over more power to the Social engineers of Globalism. (Climate Change? Look for Smart Meters at your house soon.)

Local politicians in America are being sucked into the "Smart Growth" policies of the UN. Looking for handouts of Federal money has become the mantra of mayors and city councils. Those handouts come with strings attached. It's called "control." Our local politicians are throwing away our rights and our autonomy, granted to us by God and in the U.S. Constitution. They are doing it to get money for stupid things. A NASCAR Museum. A Teapot Museum. A Whitewater Park. Greenways. Parks. Facades on Main Streets for failing businesses. Meanwhile crying about not enough money for roads, bridges, schools, etc. Let them eat cake? Roman circuses?

The riots in Greece are a harbinger of what is coming to America. Immigrants with no allegiance to our country looking for handouts and free everything....happened in Greece. Unfunded social programs that are bankrupting the country...happened in Greece. Labor Unions demanding Social Justice....happened in Greece. Devaluation of the currency....coming soon here, happened in Greece. (i.e. the Euro) Cap and Trade and the VAT tax....happened in Greece.

What is so undeniably insane is that this socialist model has been proven to fail every time it has been tried. Tyrants don't care about history or truth. All they care about is control of the masses to enrich themselves. It is a recipe for disaster. People's lives are already ruined by Agenda 21, and the EPA's implementation of "biodiversity" projects therein. Note the San Joaquin Valley in California where farms have been shut down and farmers are out of work, packers and truckers are out of work. That is just one example of many. The Kelo decision which annihilates private property rights is another example.

Americans who are duped into thinking they are voting out corporate and government corruption and voting in socialist "feel good" projects to help the poor, are not educating themselves to see the lies behind the politicians' rhetorical nonsense. It is Americans who are committing national suicide by stupidity. Convinced by charlatans of some misplaced undeserved guilt for the plight of poorer nations, Americans with large hearts are not using their heads, and getting sucked down the tubes. And that is what alarms me the most. That is the train coming smack at us that I can't seem to stop. Organizations that started out as charity, such as Hospice, and Habitat for Humanity, are now co-opted by government grants with strings attached. NGO's, Non-profits, and all things that used to be voluntary are being twisted into government obligations. Public schools that used to be operated by states and local communities are now seeped in Federal indoctrination and union led teachers. Youth are being indoctrinated to take up the Obama socialist vision for America. And all of this is being driven by a globalist view for world wide tyranny run by the likes of Al Gore, Maurice Strong, George Soros, all of the usual suspects.

America....helloooooo.....wake up out there.

THE GREAT DIVIDE = COLLECTIVISM VS. INDIVIDUALISM PART II

Continuing this train of thought...I think you can't have "collectivism" without collective guilt. And you can't have collective guilt unless indoctrination takes place in the schools, the churches, the media, and the culture at large. For a person to take on collective guilt he or she has to be walking around feeling undeservedly blessed. To feel undeserving the person needs to feel they have received more than they have worked for and contributed to society and their own families. In order to make people feel undeserving, you have to convince them that what they have is ill-gotten gain. You have to create an atmosphere of guilt around them. You show them pictures of starving children. You make them weep over suffering animals. You tell them stories of the poor poor people who have no health insurance, the homeless, the 3rd world countries with no running water, etc. Then you hit them with how this is all of their fault. Bango....you have created an entire population with collective guilt. With reference to the ladies in the previous post, this is an easy set up. But for those of us who have worked hard all of our lives and come from families of hard workers, this set up doesn't go down well. Nor should it.

The spin meisters of our culture, the ones who really despise American success, have worked diligently for decades now to make Americans feel really really guilty. Americans are, in general, a very compassionate and generous people. We have shared our success with the rest of the world in spades. Yet, those who resent us are using our success to try to make us feel very bad about it, saying we have not done enough, saying we have to down-grade so others can have what we worked to gain. But this is an out and out lie. Nevertheless, that is the game being played against us. The reality / objectivism versus the fiction / relativism is at the heart of this divide. And reality / objectivism teaches us that a country of successful individuals is the reason for American success. The reality / objectivism teaches that you cannot share what has been robbed from you. Forced collective sharing is immoral theft.

American success is completely derived from individualism. The basis for our government is individualism. Without individual self-interest, there is no American success story. America was not built on collectivism. But the Federal government which was first established to preserve individualism has turned our basis on its head. Those who work for the Federal government or receive Federal funding now promote collectivism in order to shore up their own existence and keep the funding taps open.....to the tune of over 12 trillion in debt as I write this. The collectivists have so overwhelmed the individual achievers in our country, that they have reached beyond the point of Chapter 11 into complete insolvency. Margaret Thatcher was entirely correct when she pointed out that "What is wrong with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money."

Now that we have reached the tipping point, the global socialists are frothing at the mouth to pick the bones. The UN thieves want to take the land, the resources, and the money, and hand it over to all of those poor poor in the 3rd world. The collectivists in America are in the process of handing our country over to the collectivists in the global environmental movement. Our individualism means nothing to them. They only see a big fat pie to be eaten as fast as possible. That's why Obama and his administration are creating a crisis nearly every day....so more of the pie can be grabbed by everyone else on the excuse of another crisis. A planetary crisis...a national crisis, a flu pandemic, a banking crisis, on and on. What's their answer? Collective health care. Collective energy use. Collective land use. Collective unions. Etc.

So what of the ladies and their collective guilt? What they want to share is your success, not their own. They aren't willing to give what they have. They want you to give up what you have. One of them quite literally told me she does not believe in charities because that is what taxes are for. The government is her charity of choice, yet every time her property taxes go up, she is first in line, appealing to have them reduced. These ladies are only a handful of people who have swallowed the propaganda. Michael Moore did his job well. Many more were indoctrinated. Al Gore managed to suck in a lot of suckers. And Obama used his race and his charisma to convince a lot of Americans to assuage their guilt by voting for a black man and to take the country down out of misplaced collective guilt....guilt that was beat into their heads for generations.

My recipe for correcting this disaster is absolution. Collective guilt has to be denied as the lie that it is. We cannot allow people to feel guilty for something they did not do and then have any kind of healthy society. At the same time, we need to promote and celebrate creative / critical thinking and personal responsibility. Individualism must once again be celebrated and put back in its rightful place as the point guard of our republic. Pride in America's achievements because of individualism must be given its due. We need to let people know that our place in the world is the example of hope of individuals to reach their potential. Without that we have a collective disaster from which we will never recover.
