"LEVERAGE"- THE NEW WORD FOR POLITICAL THEFT

If someone came up to you and said they wanted to make your life WONDERFUL by curing the world's ills, but also say in order to do that you would have to give them 60% of your earned income, what would you say?  If someone came up to you and said you are at fault for a typhoon in Japan, so your penance will be giving up 40% of your land, what would you say?  If someone came up to you and said they would give you $100 million for a project, but in order to receive that you MUST spend it they way they tell you and THEN you must match that amount of money over the next 5 years on the same exact project they propose, what would you say?  

Welcome to "leveraging."

Feel like you are being manipulated?  Well, guess what?  You are.  We all are.  But the operative word lately is not "manipulate."  It is "leverage."  As in using "levers" to manipulate.  Levers are powerful devices to move something.  Trying to sound cool and businesslike,  bureaucrats, politicians, and non-profit foundations are using the word "leverage." 

Here is an EXAMPLE

According to the Sacramento Bee, “B Lab will establish partnerships with organizations that have regional presence and expertise and leverage financial and technical support provided by the Inter American Development Bank, the Rockefeller Foundation, Halloran Philanthropies, Prudential Foundation, Linklaters, the Ford Foundation, the Avina Foundation, InnovaChile CORFO and Deloitte LLP.”
The B Corporation journey has thus far been characterized by pioneers like Yvon Chouinard, the iconoclastic CEO of Patagonia, who was the first CEO to sign on once B corps became recognized in California.
Chouinard has called prior laws governing corporations and charities too restrictive. He says that for-profit firms often face pressure to abandon social goals in favor of increased profits, while non-profits are overly restricted in their ability to raise capital when they need it to grow.
The B Corporation is another important step in the journey to build a new, more Earth-centered, more sustainable economy.  Perhaps something along the lines of what David Korten writes about in his latest book, Agenda for a New Economy, where he says, “to create an economic system that works for all, we need a different design grounded in different values and a different understanding of wealth, our human nature, and the sources of human happiness and well-being.”

 Note the effort there to change the language of prosperity to "redistribution of wealth."  "Earth-centered?"  "Human happiness and well-being," the author declares, is to place "social goals" on the backs of corporations, without exactly defining what those "social goals" are.  But gee, whatever he says ends in "human happiness and well-being."  Really?  

Also note the players in this B Corporation Scheme.  The Rockefeller Foundation.  The Ford Foundation.  Prudential Foundation.  Have the Rockefellers, Fords, and the insurance giant, Prudential given up all of their profits?  I missed the memo if they have.  These are foundations that are busy greasing their tax status with the government while preaching that the rest of us should not be profit motivated.  Hmmm.....interesting how that works.  They became rich from capitalism and now create foundations "leveraging" money to implement Socialism?  Anyone asking why that would be?

Trust me when I tell you this is only one small example of this word, "leverage" showing up in just about every policy document I've seen lately.  The grant application from the unelected Centralina Council of Governments uses the word "leverage," often and in many places, to describe their intent on how to use the Federal money.  They will "leverage" the funds to either get matching funds or to bend local policies to conform to HUD compliance in the grant. 

A "lever" is a lien on existing or future assets and labor.  It is also a bribe, but sadly the bribe, used as a "lever," has been given cultural legitimacy in our vernacular. 

What happens when property rights are "leveraged" away from Constitutional rights?   When politicians are "leveraging" away our rights by accepting bribes, they completely rescind the oath they took to protect and defend the Constitution.  But the bribes they are taking, which create the levers, are on your back, not on theirs.  So "leveraging" comes with no consequences.  Just as the previous noted foundations are receiving tax breaks from the government and using their donors' money to do it, politicians are putting feathers in their caps by running around shouting "I BROUGHT IN GRANT MONEY," but using your money to do it.  They NEVER tell you it is your money or that they stole your money to get that grant in the first place.

The supposed cure for curing the world's ills, these days, is always political theft of our rights, our liberty, our labor, our property, whatever our assets may be. 

So how does it feel to be "leveraged?"  

LAND AND MONEY GRAB - IT'S ALL ABOUT GREEN

It's so lovely to think about parks and recreation. Realizing that parks and recreation are luxuries, environmentalists have, over time, decided to take a much different approach to convince the public to spend tax money on parks, greenways, trails, open areas, e.g. Realizing that luxuries are usually thrown out the window when times are tough, environmentalists figured out that they had better make themselves, parks and recreation, seem necessary in order to get funding to further their cause. Now parks and greenways, trails and open areas, are deemed necessary for clean air, clean water, and healthy living.

Please. I love parks as much as the next guy. I like to go for walks with my family and my dog. I love the great outdoors, trees, water, nature, and wildlife. I am not for paving over the entire world with concrete. That sounds like I should be a number one fan of greenways and conservation agencies. But there is a rotten fish in the country that is smelling to high heaven on the American landscape. The rotten fish is Agenda 21. And Agenda 21 has latched onto every environmentalist group and every government agency in America for subversive purposes that have nothing to do with love of the environment.

You might say, so what? Isn't it great to preserve the environment anyway? What does it matter if a United Nations plan for global socialism is the underlying motive for environmentalism? Believe me. It matters.

The United Nations has unleashed environmental radicalism across the globe for at least the last 20 years. Environmentalism has become the perfect foil for controlling the world's populations. Environmental groups in the United States, after lobbying State and Federal government, agencies and politicians relentlessly for years, have gained nearly unlimited access to our tax money to implement Agenda 21 within the United States.

Agenda 21 is the parent document that encompasses many projects. Among these are: Sustainable Development, the Wildlands Project, Biosphere Programs, and more. Under the umbrella of Sustainable Development came Smart Growth, Urban Planning for Livable Communities, Eco-Tourism, Livable Cities, e.g. Under the Wildlands Project came Biosphere Preserves, World Heritage Sites, Lands Conservancies, Our Global Neighborhood, just to name four associated types of organizations. These groups are all intertwined and have been integrated into our federal agencies and our national policies. In short, our government has been collaborating with global, environmental, soviet style, restructuring of our land uses and our freedoms. None of the groups mentioned are elected by Americans. None are concerned with the parameters of our Constitution. All are using the United Nations criteria for the environment as a guideline to force the American public into submission. And worse, they have figured out a way around our election process to do it.

Yes, the ship has left the port....the train has left the station...the plane took off....the cow is out of the barn. So now what? We know now that Agenda 21 has been insidiously infused into our government. Unlike roads, bridges and other necessary infrastructure, funded through normal channels, Agenda 21 is being funded with our taxes under the radar without our consent. In other words, your community is not deciding to create a recreational greenway by appropriating local money out of the tax bin to do it. Instead, your local councils are going to any number of cooperating government agencies to steal federal and state money for grants to do these projects. That way, you think you are getting a "goodie" from the state and the feds, and you think you don't have to pay for it. At the same time, in case you haven't noticed, the states and the federal government are broke....so far broke that the debts are in the billions and trillions. Who do you think is going to pay those debts?? The U.N.? I don't think so..... And in this process, Americans are being shut out of controlling their own lands.

What we need to do now is expose it and rid ourselves of it. That means we need to vote out politicians who have willingly sold us down the river by allowing our tax dollars to be used to undermine our Constitution. We need to stop funding grants and tax deductions for greenways, trails, open areas, and other environmental initiatives within our communities. We need to get rid of every town and city plan that has adopted Smart Growth and Sustainable Development. Why? Because the plans are not drawn up or initiated by your local councils, mayors, or commissioners. All of this is drawn up by a global cabal that has designs on making American land off limits to American ownership.

So why are they doing this? Out of the kindness of their hearts, the love of wildlife, and the adoration of our land? No. Nothing to do with such altruistic motives. It's money. And it's resources. (notice they are targeting buffers around water..creeks, lakes, rivers, etc. ) Think about it. If you can assure that Americans do not have access to the land and the resources in and on that land, who controls the land and resources? The U.N.? The Federal and State governments? It certainly isn't American citizens. Do your local councils even care about that? Or do they just care about bringing home some bacon, grabbing grant money, and walking around like silly, trophy-winning, fools?

The United Nations is all about global power over sovereign nations. What better way to get that power than to control the lands in those sovereign nations? Very clever, don't you think? And all for the supposedly sublime love of the planet. We are stupid idiots to let this happen right in front of us.

Reed F. Noss, the radical “deep ecologist” who co-created the 1991 Wildlands Project proposal with Foreman, describes how the surface of North America would be covered by “an interconnected system of strictly protected areas (core reserves), surrounded by lands used for human activities compatible with conservation that put biodiversity first (buffer zones), and linked together in some way that provides for functional connectivity … across the landscape.” In both the “core” and “buffer” areas, Noss explains, “the collective needs of non-human species must take precedence over the needs and desires of humans.”

Every environmental preserve — such as habitat for endangered species, national monuments, wilderness areas, or UN-designated World Heritage sites or Biosphere Reserves — is a potential Wildlands Project “core area.” Dave Foreman urges radical eco-activists on the ground to “identify existing protected areas” and have them designated core areas. They can then be connected to other core areas through “corridors” across the landscape.

Foreman also instructs eco-radicals to “look for gaps between wild lands or public lands” for future acquisition “by public agencies or by private groups like the Nature Conservancy.” Wildlands activist John Davis states that the whole purpose of this strategy is to keep “expanding wilderness until the matrix, not just the nexus, is wild” — in other words, until property owners, miners, ranchers, loggers, and others living and working in targeted areas have been driven off their lands and cattle-penned in urban reservations.

Writing in Science magazine, Charles C. Mann and Mark L. Plummer warn that as the Wildlands Project unfolds, “most roads would be closed; some would be ripped out of the landscape.” This is certainly what RMAP portends for owners of Washington forestlands. Eventually, continue Mann and Plummer, the project will require “nothing less than a transformation of America [into] an archipelago of human-inhabited islands surrounded by natural islands.” Environmental author Alston Chase bluntly warns that consummation of the Wildlands design will mean “the forced relocation of tens of millions of people … the removal of human habitation from up to half of the country’s land area.”

Greensboro Misses Out On Greenway Grant
"GREENSBORO — Local leaders lamented the news Wednesday that Greensboro missed out on a $14.6 million federal grant that would have provided most of the money needed to complete the Downtown Greenway."
"Federal officials said they received more than 1,000 applications, totaling in excess of $19 billion."
From the same article, Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood describes the idea that greenways and trails will transform how we travel to work...i.e. by foot, bike, and horse. Does that sound innovative or regressive to you?
“These are innovative, 21st century projects that will change the U.S. transportation landscape,” LaHood said in a prepared statement. “Many of these projects could not have been funded without this program.”

They do mention private donations, also, but remember even those are tax deductions reducing the tax coffers for other necessary government uses.

OH GOODY, LET"S TAKE MORE GOVERNMENT MONEY

I opened my local newspaper the past two days to discover articles describing how our area is on the take.  Grants and subsidies are being requested and doled out to the tune of thousands of dollars.  In fact one article states. "the city and 29 businesses and nonprofit groups across the state learned Tuesday they would receive the coveted aid."  Well, I guess "covet" is the correct operative word there.  Here is the definition of the word covet: to desire wrongfully, inordinately, or without due regard for the rights of others: to covet another's property.

The Federal subsidies announced today are to offset health insurance costs that are going up due to the Obama health care bill.  Because the Obama health care bill is causing health care costs to rise, the Federal government is now picking and choosing which people will get to keep their health care by subsidizing them.  Does it occur to anyone that if the Obama health care bill had not been voted into existence by socialist democrats, the cost of health care would remain in the hands of healthy competition between insurance companies?  Do I remember Obama saying that if you liked your health care you could keep it?  Maybe he meant you could keep it if you took subsidies from future generations of borrowed money causing the country to collapse into further debt.  Yeah, that's it.

One grant is to build a "community garden, similar to Michelle Obama's White House garden."  Excuse me, but does it seem to you that if there was a need for a "community garden," people in the community would create that garden without Federal money?  Would the community vote to create that garden unless they had someone else's money to spend?  Would the community have the money to create that garden if the Federal government had allowed industries in our area to flourish or fall on their own merits?  In other words, according to the current train of thought, a community would not or could not create a garden without stealing money from some other community or persons?  Really?

Another grant is to renovate five two-family duplex homes which have been designated into a National Historic Places district.  Historic because?  Because the national economic policies on trade put local industries out of business and now we can only look back to a time when our local economy was thriving with textile industries.  So the Federal government tooketh away and now will giveth back, with borrowed other people's money, a grant to preserve what used to be.  There is no mention in the article of who owns these homes.  The entire United States of America is destined to be on the National Register of Historic Places if this keeps up.

Since the money being doled out was confiscated by the government from someone who previously rightfully owned that money, then I guess we should all stand up and shout "Hallelujah, we legally stole what belonged to someone else and got away with it!!"   And since our government is operating on a 14 trillion dollar deficit and the money is borrowed from future generations, we just stole that money from children and grandchildren who will have to pay back the loans.  If we die soon enough, we won't even have to face those poor people who will labor to pay for the grants and subsidies.  They may not even have been born yet.   

There is a guy on TV named Kevin Trudeau who is hawking his book entitled, "Free Money- They Don't Want You To Know About."  The book gives examples of some of the "FREE" funds that are available to the average person. Examples include $9500 to help pay bills, $2800 to pay heating costs and $1200 to help pay your mortgage. Other examples include $800 to buy food, $170 a month for parking, and $3,000 if you volunteer to work in your neighborhood. There's also $4800 to pay "family expenses", $328 to help pay rent and amazingly, $1000 while waiting for some of the other funds you applied for. And for free services, Trudeau mentions there's free dental care, free eyeglasses, free air travel, and free hotel rooms among others. 

This book must be the handbook for every community leader and nonprofit group in the United States.  After all, isn't that exactly what the applications for grants and subsidies from the communities and nonprofits exhibit?  It must be part of the curriculum of study for those interested in learning how to steal.  Learn how to get "Free Money" for your public, private, and nonprofit business or group.  It's the American way. It didn't used to be, but has come to this. 

"Free Money" is what you and I pay for with our labor.  Taxes represent your hard work and mine.  It isn't "Free."  But the mentality of Mr. Trudeau is the mentality of the people going after that money.   They don't care if it is your labor they are hijacking.  They are simply taking advantage of a government system set up by all levels of government in America over the past decades. There is everything wrong and nothing right with a system promising "Free Money."

Nobody wants to pay, but everybody wants "Free" money.  A funny thing happened on the way to 2010.  A country with work ethics and a "can do" attitude slid into the abyss of deception; "Free Money" is what politicians promise while they pick your pocket.  Big government programs, grants, and subsidies are using your labor to hand out "Free Money."  Keep that in mind when you listen to the candidate's speeches running up to the November elections.  Find a candidate who is not interested in handing out "Free" government money.  Find a candidate who believes in you keeping what you earn.  I dare you.  And if  you do find that candidate, vote for him or her.
