FORCING AMERICA INTO BANKRUPTCY AND BEYOND

Today I am co-opting an excellent graph and article from American Thinker, one of THE places to go for real and truthful information. I am always lamenting the sad state of ignorance that fuels the misinformation disseminated in our biased media. (With all humility, I'm also always looking for the most factual information in order to come to my own judgments on important issues that are plaguing our country....and want to share what I find with my readers here.)

So here is one I found that shows what happens to Ponzi schemes by the left which only drive the American citizens into more and more dire straits...more poverty, more dependence on government, less ability to thrive, etc. If I had a magic wand, I would eradicate Medicare and Social Security altogther. This would have to now be a 'weaning' process because of the persons dependent on these programs. But it could be done. And should be done to 1. save our country from complete bankruptcy and 2. get people back on their own two feet in liberty.

In particular I want you to focus below on the interest payment and its increase as a % of GDP in the coming years. Ask yourself why on earth would you do that to your children and grandchildren? Why would you be that selfish and dumb? Why?
Alas....read it and weep.

AMERICA AS THE WORLD'S SANTA CLAUS

Over the last several years we hear more and more how stingy and greedy Americans are. The socialists and the United Nations repeat this mantra over and over in the media in an attempt to make Americans think they are the Ebenezer Scrooge's of the world. Yet America is the country everyone turns to in crisis for aid. The psychology of this is damning, exposing the socialists as rather like a spoiled brat who always throws a tantrum if he doesn't get more and more of what he wants. Which is exactly what they are and this is what they do. They lie, cheat, and steal, whine, and call names. The maturity level is really low, but the moral level is worse.

The reason I'm posting this message, on Christmas in particular, is to try my best to counter the demonizing of America and Americans. I also want to remind Americans that we can only be charitable within the bounds of our financial health. The more the socialists "redistribute," the less we have with which to be charitable. If we are soaked by Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, and Obama with higher taxes, Health Care, Cap and Trade, and endless Stimulus bills, we will have little left to give. We don't need to listen to these naysayers and liars. Like all of the rest of their political games, calling Americans greedy only serves their purposes. America is absolved by the figures, shown below and the graph above, recounting the the truth of the matter...... Americans can hold their heads high and be joyful for all we have had and have given!! Now, if Americans can figure out how to save our liberty from the thieves of redistribution, maybe we can maintain our charitable place in the world. If not, we may become either like the rest of the countries shown, or we may become the target of charity rather than the source. If ever there was a case of killing the Golden Goose, Obama is by all accounts bleeding the Goose by intense hemorrage. The Goose is going to dry up and die. You cannot give what you don't have. Simple common sense. Unfortunately, that truth has escaped Obama who takes from some to give to others. He gives yours....so you will have nothing left to give. What a concept.

In the meantime, don't buy into the guilt trip and the lies. We know who we are. We don't need to be redefined by the political left and globalists who are salivating at picking us dry. What we need to do is flat out tell them...."no, you are not stealing from me to pay off SEIU, ACORN, or any of your other Marxists cronies or corporate shills." The new chant for Obama's ears.....NO YOU CAN'T....and NO YOU WON'T.

We need to redeem ourselves in the name of truth. Redemption and Salvation....the meaning of Christmas.

I wonder to myself everyday how so many people can get through life without using their brains for serious inquiry and get sucked down the tubes into fictional hysteria foisted upon the public by greedy, slimy, scammers. I could suffer a few of these fools, but when the volume of fools begins to suck the rest of us who do have brains down the tubes with them, then the situation just becomes very depressing. THE GREAT DIVIDE = COLLECTIVISM VS. INDIVIDUALISM PART II

Continuing this train of thought...I think you can't have "collectivism" without collective guilt. And you can't have collective guilt unless indoctrination takes place in the schools, the churches, the media, and the culture at large. For a person to take on collective guilt he or she has to be walking around feeling undeservedly blessed. To feel undeserving the person needs to feel they have received more than they have worked for and contributed to society and their own families. In order to make people feel undeserving, you have to convince them that what they have is ill-gotten gain. You have to create an atmosphere of guilt around them. You show them pictures of starving children. You make them weep over suffering animals. You tell them stories of the poor poor people who have no health insurance, the homeless, the 3rd world countries with no running water, etc. Then you hit them with how this is all of their fault. Bango....you have created an entire population with collective guilt. With reference to the ladies in the previous post, this is an easy set up. But for those of us who have worked hard all of our lives and come from families of hard workers, this set up doesn't go down well. Nor should it.

The spin meisters of our culture, the ones who really despise American success, have worked diligently for decades now to make Americans feel really really guilty. Americans are, in general, a very compassionate and generous people. We have shared our success with the rest of the world in spades. Yet, those who resent us are using our success to try to make us feel very bad about it, saying we have not done enough, saying we have to down-grade so others can have what we worked to gain. But this is an out and out lie. Nevertheless, that is the game being played against us. The reality / objectivism versus the fiction / relativism is at the heart of this divide. And reality / objectivism teaches us that a country of successful individuals is the reason for American success. The reality / objectivism teaches that you cannot share what has been robbed from you. Forced collective sharing is immoral theft.

American success is completely derived from individualism. The basis for our government is individualism. Without individual self-interest, there is no American success story. America was not built on collectivism. But the Federal government which was first established to preserve individualism has turned our basis on its head. Those who work for the Federal government or receive Federal funding now promote collectivism in order to shore up their own existence and keep the funding taps open.....to the tune of over 12 trillion in debt as I write this. The collectivists have so overwhelmed the individual achievers in our country, that they have reached beyond the point of Chapter 11 into complete insolvency. Margaret Thatcher was entirely correct when she pointed out that "What is wrong with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money."

Now that we have reached the tipping point, the global socialists are frothing at the mouth to pick the bones. The UN thieves want to take the land, the resources, and the money, and hand it over to all of those poor poor in the 3rd world. The collectivists in America are in the process of handing our country over to the collectivists in the global environmental movement. Our individualism means nothing to them. They only see a big fat pie to be eaten as fast as possible. That's why Obama and his administration are creating a crisis nearly every day....so more of the pie can be grabbed by everyone else on the excuse of another crisis. A planetary crisis...a national crisis, a flu pandemic, a banking crisis, on and on. What's their answer? Collective health care. Collective energy use. Collective land use. Collective unions. Etc.

So what of the ladies and their collective guilt? What they want to share is your success, not their own. They aren't willing to give what they have. They want you to give up what you have. One of them quite literally told me she does not believe in charities because that is what taxes are for. The government is her charity of choice, yet every time her property taxes go up, she is first in line, appealing to have them reduced. These ladies are only a handful of people who have swallowed the propaganda. Michael Moore did his job well. Many more were indoctrinated. Al Gore managed to suck in a lot of suckers. And Obama used his race and his charisma to convince a lot of Americans to assuage their guilt by voting for a black man and to take the country down out of misplaced collective guilt....guilt that was beat into their heads for generations.

My recipe for correcting this disaster is absolution. Collective guilt has to be denied as the lie that it is. We cannot allow people to feel guilty for something they did not do and then have any kind of healthy society. At the same time, we need to promote and celebrate creative / critical thinking and personal responsibility. Individualism must once again be celebrated and put back in its rightful place as the point guard of our republic. Pride in America's achievements because of individualism must be given its due. We need to let people know that our place in the world is the example of hope of individuals to reach their potential. Without that we have a collective disaster from which we will never recover.

THE GREAT DIVIDE = COLLECTIVISM VS. INDIVIDUALISM PART I

I hate to launch into a philosophical debate on methods of government, but I have recently been reminded that many in our society have not been educated or don't take the time to educate themselves on methods of government or political history or world history. Since they lack the perspective to make educated decisions, they are running straight for the cliff, taking the rest of us with them, with no restraints.

I am an artist. I have made my career in art most of my adult life. This career has led me to own a nationally recognized product, participate in national trade shows, and be responsible for employees. Nine years ago I stepped out of that arena in order to spend more time developing my art, however the lessons learned from that national business were valuable to my perspective on taxes, on employers responsibilities, on trends, and on fiscal responsibilities. Just as a Dr. in private practice owns a business, so did I.

Along the way in my life I have made and lost some friends..as most of us do. Several of these friends were either neighbors or other women who had children the same ages as my children and had some common interests as I had in the domestic areas of life. These several women have never had to make a living on their own. They have lived through their husbands lucrative careers. Each of them have had supplemental jobs, but did not have to live on their own incomes. None of them have ever done without health insurance. Some live in gated communities. Life has been really easy and good for them. Among this group of friends, I was the only one to be divorced, a single mother, without health insurance for 13 yrs., or make my way in life without a wealthy husband or financially supporting parents. I didn't take one dime of government money to survive. I worked my tail off and made my life work without the amenities these women enjoy. Each of these several women friends of mine voted for Obama. Since this last year's election each of these women 'friends' have jumped down the rabbit hole with him and think of themselves as the high and mighty benefactors of Obama's collectivist vision for America. One of them doesn't speak to me anymore. One of them yesterday called me an "extremist." None of them have studied various forms of government or grasp the importance of the U.S. Constitution. Two of them are foreign born. All of them are influenced by the hippie culture of the sixties and hate conservatism. Which is funny because they each have aspired to become the wealthy establishment. They each hate business....as in the media description of those "bad and greedy corporations who make profits." Bad Oil. Bad Insurance. Bad Bankers. Etc. They have no understanding of freedom because they have enslaved themselves to the money of their successful husbands. Most of these have compromised their oaths and either committed adultery or tolerated their husband's adulteries. They gripe and cavil about the husbands' control over them....which they gladly suffer for the trade-off of security.

So I guess it should not surprise me that these women are so easily duped by the propagandists in the media and our government. No surprise. Just disappointment. No backbone. Just declarations of compassion for the poor. Obama is the epitome example of what they are. Taking from someone else to support themselves and promoting socialism. They already live socialism. They know who to kiss up to, to get their skids greased. They are so threatened by individual survival that they despise the idea of it. They have convinced themselves they could not maintain their lifestyles without taking from someone else while compromising principles. And they love their lifestyles. I could go on and on pointing out the hypocrisy I have seen in these friends' lives...but that would take another two posts...and I'm really so tired of the hypocrisy of the left that I don't think I can suffer through writing it..much less making you read it. These women represent a microcosm of a bigger problem. Mass moral decay and lack of principles. And they have turned their fear against me and excluded me from their lives because they are so threatened by my message which is: you don't have to compromise your principles to live a good life and life is better without benevolent (or not) dictators, i.e. government handouts and controls. They want the entire country to live like they do, beholden to a someone with money and force.

I don't see any hope for fixing that problem. It seems, as I write this, impossible to turn around this climate of dependence. I've argued with reason to these women and they can't stand hearing it. I've argued with facts and they disregard them. I've argued with historical perspective and they have none, so they don't care. We are losing the country to people like these, much the same as Germany and the Soviet Union were lost for generations to people like these. And with friends like these, who needs enemies? Rhetorical question there...

OBAMA REALLY DOES THINK YOU"RE STUPID

So as I listened to the ridiculous hot air coming out of the Obama business "summit" this week, I actually burst out laughing. This is not my usual reaction to his arrogant hypocrisies. I usually get angry and start grouching back under my breath. But this was so absurd as to be downright hilarious. He was making attempts at sounding like a savvy business economist, but came across as a over-inflated ego spouting off on a subject he knows ZERO, NADA, ZILCH, NOTHING about. I thought, does he really think anyone out here is buying this !@(*&^%%$$????

So much for "creating and saving jobs." But, hey, who thought Obama's policies would be anything good for America? Not me!! I wonder how long Americans are going to sit out here and take it. I'm guessing if some serious major changes don't appear in the 2010 elections, there is going to be some hell-raising in the hinterland. But since our election process has become so infiltrated and corrupted, I'm not banking on elections that make any sense anymore.

Speaking of banking....have you looked at CD rates lately? To all of the idiots who voted for this guy....thank you so much for further ruining any sense of reasonable balance in the financial sector. If you are in business and can't get any operating capital loans, and banks are not returning much of any interest on investments, well....the engine is in big trouble. The gears are frozen. What's Obama's answer to this? Steal more money from the citizens to give to Socialist / government entities. Forced unions on businesses, expensive and lousy Health Care, and rape all of us with Cap and Trade laws that will send more money to the government and out of the country. Great ideas there ole Presbo! George Orwell knoweth ye well!!

And while he is flushing us down, he is standing there talking about what a great job he is doing saving America from financial ruin. Oh my God.....I just hope I wake up from this nightmare.

GATHERING VIEWS ON THE HOAX of GLOBAL WARMING

The world is an interesting place with interesting social conundrums and magical scientific mysteries. I have been fascinated by the ability of seemingly sane people in our society who jumped onto the Global Warming Hoax so readily. In a way I understand the well-meaning responsible citizen who just loves to do things to conserve some nature in a country where it seems we are paving over every green space in sight. I'm not keen on over-development either. I'd like to think I will leave the world a better place than when I came into it. I don't get up every day with the motive of killing off the natural world by over-use of anything. I just get up everyday thinking about how I can use my skills to create something that celebrates the world we have been given. I expect people of good conscience feel much the same way.

So the very idea that scammers, swindlers, extortionists, and frauds have been taking advantage of well-meaning people makes me so angry I could just spit nails. But that is the case. That is exactly what has been happening. And I am so very glad that this HOAX is now being exposed for exactly what it is.

The British have the gift of oratory in their Parliament. The video below gives me inspiration that truth will prevail and those of us who stand for it will win against the evil, conspiratorial, liars who have perpetrated this GLOBAL HOAX to enrich themselves and rob everyday people of their ability to survive.

AMERICAN ABSOLUTION

No doubt you are seeing the same commercials on TV that I am. You know, the ones with the ethereal sounding voices of children, the visage of celestial iconography, and the word "Hopenhagen" floating across the screen. I wonder if many in America have any clue what the Copenhagen Treaty proposes to do to the sovereignty of the United States. It all looks so Madison Avenue slick and "touchy - feely" warm and fuzzy. Intoning a chant-like mantra designed to appeal to every new-age hippie and their children whose minds are already spinning with guilt for living on the planet, these commercials are designed to make Americans think they are part of some really big worldwide hug. A hug called the Copenhagen Treaty. And of course, President Obama is flitting off with his entourage and huge jets to Copenhagen to put his face all over it in order to make the world believe that he is saving the planet from whom? Us. That's who.
For over sixty years now the left-wing propagandists have been very occupied with convincing Americans that we are very bad people. Forty years ago they grabbed hold of the schools to make sure the children were taught that Americans live on stolen land, built the country using stolen labor, have an illegitimate Constitution written by nasty old white men, and have been using up the planet's resources illegitimately and unfairly. So now we have a population of people, some left wing zealots, some indoctrinated, and some who are just too uneducated to understand, who believe America is a travesty and has no business being more successful than the rest of the world. These people have been led into a twisted guilt trip for just being American. They think Obama will absolve them of their guilt if he just goes to Copenhagen and signs away our guilt to the rest of the world and consigns us to penance payments for decades to come.

First I want to explain what this Copenhagen Treaty says and means, just so you know.

The proposed treaty authorizes the establishment of a "government" to transfer wealth from industrial nations to non-industrial nations in payment of a "climate debt" which, the treaty declares, the industrial nations owe on account of burning carbon-based fuels. The newly created international government is to have the authority to decide issues relating to carbon emissions in signatory nations, the power to levy what amounts to carbon taxes on signatory nations, and the power to enforce its levies without reference to the will of the people who live in the signatory nations.

Thus, the proposed Climate Change Treaty demands that:

• An unelected international government is to be established without the American people voting on its establishment or membership;
• The unelected international government is to have authority to legislate how much and what kind of carbon-based activity Americans may engage in before they will be taxed on such activity;
• The unelected international government is to have authority to decide the amount of taxes Americans must pay for carbon-based activities, determine the people to whom the taxes will be given, and decide how those people will spend the taxes -- and none of those activities will be subject to presidential veto, congressional oversight, or review by the federal Judiciary, much less a vote by the American people;
• If the American people fail to abide by the legislative edicts of the unelected international government, they will be subject to international enforcement proceedings that are alien to our constitutional ideas of due process, equal protection, personal freedom, and property rights.

So, Obama wants to sign a treaty that gives some panel, not authorized by the people of the United States, the power to tax Americans and dictate to Americans just how much energy Americans are allowed to consume for their businesses and their lives. Somehow I'm not feeling the love here. Did Americans knowingly elect a President to sign away American sovereignty and the U.S. Constitution? Did Barack Obama not take the oath to support, defend, and uphold the U.S. Constitution? (The oath was botched and he was subjected to a do-over, as I recall)
And if this isn't bad enough, did Americans actually do anything to worsen the condition of planet earth in the past forty years?

Emails revealed last week from the Climatic Research Unit in Britain proved that the scientists feeding information to the United Nations' International Panel on Climate Change had been manipulating evidence, hiding the truth, and laughing all the way to the bank for years. This information finally shows that lying to get funding research was the norm. It also shows that the assertion that men are to blame for some radical shift in the climate is absurd. It finally exposes the hoax for what it is. It finally exposes Al Gore for what he is, a very clever snake oil salesman who also has been laughing all the way to the bank. The entire reason for the IPCC, the Kyoto Treaty, and the Copenhagen Treaty has been a virtual shakedown of advanced industrial nations.

And finally, this email chain of evidence proves that Americans are not to blame for ruining anyone's planet. While America's population has risen over the past twenty years, our output of pollution has gone down. There is no reason for Americans to feel guilty or pay through the nose for some false data put together by some extortionists for their own gain. Americans can hold their heads up and stop feeling as if we are some scourge on the earth. Americans can be proud of their track record on pollution and stewardship of the earth. America is not a "problem" and should not be held hostage to some ridiculous ransom. Obama needs to get off the Climate Change train because it is heading for a very big crash. And frankly, I think, so is he. The lies are not "sustainable."

WHY AL GORE SHOULD BE PROSECUTED UNDER RICO LAWS

AN EXPLANATION OF THE RICO LAW

The specific goal of RICO is to punish the use of an enterprise to engage in certain criminal activity. A person who uses an enterprise to engage in a pattern of racketeering activity may be convicted under the RICO criminal statute (18 U.S.C.A. § 1963). An enterprise is defined as "any individual, partnership, corporation, association, or other legal entity, and any union or group of individuals associated in fact although not a legal entity." A pattern is defined as "at least two acts of racketeering activity, one of which occurred after the effective date of [RICO's passage] and the last of which occurred within ten years … after commission of a prior act of racketeering activity." Racketeering activity includes a number of discrete criminal offenses, such as gambling, bribery, extortion, bankruptcy fraud, mail fraud, securities fraud, prostitution, narcotics trafficking, loan sharking, and murder.

While Al Gore is not the only offender who should be brought to trial on these charges, I am using him as the main protagonist of the case. Fraud and extortion are the two main offenses here that apply. Now that the "hackers" have released the emails from the scientific organizations that #1. Prove the science on Global Warming is a fraud, and #2. Show without any doubt that scientists were manipulating data to protect their own revenue streams, we can proceed with the prosecution of all of those who have perpetrated this fraud on the public. Not just the American public, but the global population as well.

I have never bought into it. I don't know that I am soooooo smart that I could see through it, but I have lived long enough to recognize a scam, especially one as transparent as this one. I am old enough to remember the "ice age" hysteria in the 1960's which never came to pass. I watched as that particular nonsense switched to "warming" instead of "cooling" just to grab some more followers. I watched as a close relative funneled whatever money he could to the Sierra Club and every other environmental organization because he was so sure that made him a better human being, it made him feel as if he was part of some great cause that was going to "save the earth." He bought into the Zero Population hysteria, too, and never had any children because of it. For a while he went into the "vegan" lifestyle because he bought into the idea that animal protein was bad for us. This relative died at 59 and was miserably grouchy through most of his time here. He was perennially mad at everyone who was successful, prosperous, and lived large. He blamed every human and would call himself a "pimple on the ass of the earth," because of the horrendously dismal articles he would read. In his world it just wasn't fair that some people were happily living their lives while he was totally convinced that the world was ending any time now. I look upon him and his life as a very sad case of indoctrination that ruined his life. Think about that while you are thinking of the indoctrination of our children going on in the past few years. How are they impacted by lies and distortions that make them think the world is doomed and it is all their fault.

But back to the RICO violations. It is a major crime to defraud the government of money. It is a major crime to extort money from the public. What would you call it when the U.S. government is being scammed by Al Gore and groups who are grabbing tax dollars for "green" jobs??? What do you call it when the text books being taught in the public schools are lying to school children to support a scam?? What do you call it when complicit media outlets on the take such as MSNBC/NBC - GE purport lies to enrich their parent corporation? By virtue of the size of the money pots going towards this "Global Warming" hoax, this is, without a doubt, the biggest fraud and extortion plot that has ever been exacted on the planet.

Alas, Eric Holder, the social justice boob who is now in charge of our legal system, is not going to go after Al Gore. No....he is too busy going after the circus trial in NY just to try to drag the CIA and the Bush Administration through the mud in public.

So I'm just engaged in wishful thinking again....wishing that some really big fish would fry for their crimes against us. If you or I created a ponzi scheme or a way to scam the public with snake oil, we'd be in chains in some federal prison for the rest of our lives. I'm wishing...."Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven." Let justice win this one. And thank God for those "hackers."

P.S. As for my not buying into this scam in the first place....Somehow or another I was given the gift of "Doubting Thomas." It didn't help me out much in math classes when the formula was static and I had to figure out some simple addition, subtraction, or division problem. Instead I would sit there and ask, "Why?" I can only imagine the frustration my teachers must have felt when faced with such a belligerent student. My grades were not stellar, but my curious mind did not let me down. Asking "why" is not such a bad thing when faced with such an arrogant salesman as Al Gore. When someone is pressing you to buy what they are selling, telling you to buy it really FAST, and giving you a line of BS, you can pretty much tell there is some other agenda going on. This Global Warming / Climate Change / Cap and Trade / stuff has so many red flags that a simpleton could see it is a scam. How the public has gotten so mesmerized and indoctrinated into this is beyond the scope of reasonable belief. But there you are...it is what it is. We have our work cut out for us to deprogram a whole lot of zombie-bots and get their brains working again.

WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE AND WHAT ARE THEY DOING TO AMERICA?

I'd like to introduce you to Carol Browner. She is Obama's Director of the White House Office of Energy and Climate Change. She was also the former administrator of Bill Clinton's Environmental Protection Agency. According to Wikepedia, she worked as legislative director from 1988 to 1991 for then Senator Al Gore. From 1991 to 1993 she was the head of the Florida Environmental Protection Agency. What Wikepedia doesn't tell you Reference Washington Times article is that Carol Browner was also listed as one of 14 members of a Socialist group called the Commission for a Sustainable World Society, under the umbrella group called Socialists International, which just happens to be a George Soros funded organization. The Commission for a Sustainable World Society calls for global governance and proposes that "rich" countries must shrink their economies to address "climate change." She was on the board of directors of the League of Conservation Voters, the Center for American Progress, and former Vice President Gore's Alliance for Climate Protection. In other words, Ms. Browner is in the business of undermining the American economy in order to promote some socialist idea that America is using up too much energy and resources. Carol Browner's philosophy is Barack Obama's philosophy, which is why he chose her to fill the Energy and Climate Czar position. If you ever were sitting there scratching your head and asking yourself why is our government seeming to destroy businesses, sending more business overseas, and promoting caps on American energy sources and usage, you were not just making it up. That is exactly the plan and they are very busy at implementing it.

So lately you are seeing frenetic amounts of "Green" TV and advertisements for a Copenhagen treaty. And next you might be asking yourself, what is the Copenhagen Treaty? The Copenhagen Treaty is the Kyoto Treaty on steroids. You see socialists / environmentalists are not satisfied with banning off shore drilling, banning nuclear plants, exploration for shale oil, etc. in America. They want a global treaty signed, sealed and delivered that our country will not produce the necessary fossil fuels or clean coal or nuclear power in order to "sustain" our way of life, including our manufacturing industries as well as our homes. The Copenhagen Treaty is putting slick ads on TV to convince the American public that this is THE definitive global answer to saving our dear planet. To swallow this, you have to first agree that the planet is sick and dying because of those dastardly humans. Since Carol Browner is a protege of Al Gore and has drunk more than a few gallons of inconvenient Kool-ade, she is convinced that the very necessary component of life on earth, carbon dioxide, is a deadly toxin. (Truthfully, I don't think either she or Al Gore believe that, but they want you to believe it so they can make gobs and tons of money on carbon offsets.) This demonization of carbon dioxide is the perfect foil to deny innocent and uneducated people of their ability to use energy to produce anything. Browner, Gore, and Obama are in the business of guilting you into thinking that using energy to live is a crime against mother earth.

But back to Carol Browner. Because she has been placed into the position of Director of Energy and Climate Change, she is now gifted the wand of regulating energy use in the United States without congressional approval. She can put forth edicts that businesses and homeowners must follow, restricting manufacturing, building, heating and cooling homes, etc., without one ounce of agreement from Congress or the people of the United States. At the moment Ms. Browner is lamenting the fact that Cap and Trade is not a signed bill by the President, so she cannot go to Copenhagen with the announcement that Obama has already devastated the energy sector in the U.S. She wanted to go to Copenhagen to sign onto the treaty and make the announcement that Obama and Congress have already rationed our use of energy. Poor Carol. She was so excited to sign onto the Copenhagen Treaty which proposes that every advanced country be taxed 0.7% on its GDP. In the United States, based on 2008 figures, that means $99.82 billion of our tax dollars going to some global environmental organization who wishes to redistribute that wealth to God knows who or where. Last time I looked at the debt clock, America is already up to its eyeballs in debt, so by all means, lets just borrow more money to pay some global socialists on the ruse of "environmental justice." America, already being the most environmentally responsible country on the planet, should absolutely pay all those other people for something. For what, I can only imagine.

The Copenhagen Treaty takes away the sovereign decision making of any participating country to manage its own energy strategies. Furthermore, it is, as Barack Obama's policies all embrace, a socialist wealth redistribution format where "rich" countries are to compensate "poor" countries as on page 122, Item 17: [[Developed [and developing] countries] [Developed and developing country Parties] [All Parties] [shall] [should]:]
(a) Compensate for damage to the LDCs’ economy and also compensate for lost opportunities, resources, lives, land and dignity, as many will become environmental refugees;
(b) Africa, in the context of environmental justice, should be equitably compensated for environmental, social and economic losses arising from the implementation of response measures.

Coincidentally, the treaty paragraph shown happens to throw money at Africa for "environmental justice." I don't know about you, but I don't happen to know of any reason why American taxpayers should be on the hook for some arbitrary "environmental injustice" that none of the everyday taxpayers caused. This is interesting to me in the context of national angst over money going overseas to pay for oil. Now, instead of paying for oil, this crowd wants American money to go overseas to pay for "environmental justice?" Hmmmm...how does that work? I'm still trying to figure out the dire sentence there that ends with "dignity, as many will become environmental refugees." We certainly aren't "compensating" the farmers in the San Joaquin Valley in California who are experiencing a drought and the EPA will not allow irrigation to the farms on the ruse of saving a micro sized fish. Wouldn't you classify them as "environmental refugees," having lost their businesses and livelihoods? If we are going to compensate for environmental decisions, how about saving those American farmers from destitution??

So far the Obama administration seems determined to bleed the American public dry, on all issues; health care, environmentalism, finance, all of them. Just like the Health Care bills are not about Health Care, neither is Cap and Trade nor the Copenhagen Treaty about environmental responsibility. It's all about wealth distribution, away from Americans and into the pockets of special interests, lobbyists, globalists, unions, and favored causes of the Socialist Party. While you are contemplating this, remember that none of these global thieves are going to be riding bicycles to retrieve their groceries. They will still be riding around in the sleek private jets with motorcades awaiting them and other people will be bringing in their groceries. They are in the business of making you pay for their lifestyles while you are wondering how to heat your house this winter or keep your job. Their carbon footprints are not shrinking while yours are. Turning off your lights may lower your electric bill, but it does nothing to increase energy in some under-developed country. You can also remember that making Americans poorer is not going to make one African richer. The generosity of Americans can only come from a vibrant and industrious nation, one we used to have and are losing by the minute.

That's who they are and that's what they do. Redistribute the wealth. And they are doing it to us, America.

Addendum: The New America - article by William F. Jasper "The Earth-saving, jet-setting Gore (whose Tennessee mansion has a "carbon footprint" 20 times that of the average American family) is a collectivist ideologue who gives every indication of being in the green game for power and prestige as much as (or more than) for the money. He and his fellow globalists want to "transform" the world, to remake it to their own desires. The green path is their road not only to pelf, but also to power.

OBAMA MONEY

I have not written this past week because I have commissioned paintings I am working on and, also, the bad news is so prevalent that I find it difficult to choose which subject to discuss. So today I am just checking in to tell a short story.

This week I delivered 8 paintings to a gallery who represents my work. The gallery owner is a very nice lady who I like personally. Her gallery is in what used to be gorgeous, century old house, now in a Historical District, that belonged to a prominent family here in town in the early 1900's. Besides my works she carries 6 or so other artists' works and the quality of art is high. But here is the rub. With ownership come responsibilities. And this lesson is evidently missed by the gallery owner. She always laments the condition of the building she owns, which is terribly in need of repairs....but the next sentence that comes from her is that she wants to find a "grant" to do the work. She moans it will take thousands of dollars. But had she kept up with it over time, the maintenance would have been incremental, instead of what is now monumental. Now she would like to use other people's money to fix up her own property. Eventually that is what might happen, after she is dead and her children sell the house to the Historical Society and the government grants come pouring in. But for now it is in dilapidation and like an old woman whose parts are giving out, one by one. Holes in the ceiling, furnace on the blink, paint chipping off everywhere, carpet that is rolling under your feet with age.

As we discussed the economy and business ownership, I mentioned to her that the government is going to take an even bigger chunk of her money between Health Care and Cap and Trade. At which point she looked at me as if her brain just left town, eyes wide open, but blank. She shook her head.

I said, "You know, I just think people had no clue what they were voting for in this past election." And then....she parroted the mantra...."Well, we HAD to have change!!" "We HAVE to HAVE Health Care."

O.k....there's my story. And that is what we are stuck with. The blank, uneducated view of one with eyes glazed over who never spent a second to study an issue critical to her citizenship or her business. I'm starting to think that people like this should never vote in an election. Not that I can stop them....but for crying out loud, what future can we have with this kind of negligence??? She is taking care of her voting privilege the same way she takes care of her property.....NOT AT ALL. Somebody else will do it, I guess. We'll have Obama money...you know the "stash."

First, I am not at all convinced that CO2 is any kind of a problem, but rather one of the most necessary components of life here on Earth. Having said that, even if it were, you can see that Americans are not the evil culprits of life-damning actions that the Climate Changelings would have you believe. WHEN EXTORTION BECOMES THE LAW OF THE LAND

I'm tired of double-speak. I'm tired of lies. I'm tired of pretenses put out there to dupe the less sophisticated populace. I'm tired of complicit media. I'm tired of people who are too lazy to think things through claiming they think the government knows best. Let's call the folks in this administration exactly what they are...EXTORTIONISTS.

Think about the classic mafia story. A guy owns a store on Main Street. He is successfully doing business. The mafia decides to take over Main Street. Mafia don hires some thugs to rough up one of the store owners and threaten the store owner's family and business. Mafia don hires another guy in a nice suit who stops by to say he will be happy to "protect" the store owner "for his own good," and allow him to keep his business open for a few c-notes "donated" to the Mafia. The store owner says he's not keen on giving up his money because he needs it for his own family. The mafia don says, "That's fine, but if you don't hand over the dough, we'll take you down." The store owner has no choice and capitulates. Or the store is on the front page news the next day, having burned to the ground. Or the store owner is found in the street bludgeoned to death. Or the next time the store owner takes his family to the nearest Trattoria, the mafia guys come in with guns blazing and the family is found on the bloody floor with a dozen holes put through them.

Got it now? You hand over the dough or you're a dead man. You hand over the dough or we won't support you. You hand over the dough or you are out of business. You hand over the dough or we will ruin you. Think banks, car companies, insurance companies, and health care. Not greedy enough, the Mafia is now going after energy companies, the internet, radio and newspapers. Our government has become the Mafia.

Welcome to the Soviet Socialist Republic of Amerika, where the government bureaucrats are now using mafia tactics to take over every aspect of American life. The states are being roughed up and told to comply or else, despite the Tenth Amendment. Corporations are being taken-over with stolen money from the tax-payers and told what to pay their executives, what cars to manufacture, what loans to make, and what energy they can use to conduct business. Persons, doctors, and insurances companies are being told to pay up, do what we say, or we will use the IRS to garnish your money. Pay to play politics. It's the same thing as the mafia. It's the same thing the Soviets have done to their people. It's Fascism. It's Socialism. It's Marxism. It's the Mafia.....all dressed up in politicians' cloaks.

It's time for justice, but we will have none because Obama's mafia henchman, Eric Holder is in charge of the Justice Department. The White House tries to shut up Fox News. Rahm Emanuel sends dead fish to his adversaries. Cass Sunstein, Obama's Regulatory Czar, titles his book on this mafia machine, "Nudge." Pelosi and Reid ridicule and demean their opposition to try to shut them up, all the while burdening all of us with trillions of dollars of debt. Maxine Waters threatens the oil companies, "We will socialize you." Barney Frank says he is doing everything he can to "expand the Federal Government." Obama's Science Czar writes a book on forced abortions and sterilizing people through the water supplies. Car dealers' bailouts cost citizens $24,000.00 for each car. The White House is considering "bailing out" newspapers to get their hooks into them. Mark Lloyd, Obama's Diversity Czar, says he will shut down privately owned communication companies by taking all of their operating expenses to fund "public" (read government) communications. The White House sends edicts to the NEA to propagandize Obama's agenda. Rangel laughs all the way to the Caribbean by tax evasion and gets away with it. Ezekial Emanuel and Tom Daschle both have written "cost containment" proposals to withhold medical care from the elderly and children with debilitating illnesses. Behind the closed doors sit Bill Ayers, Valerie Jarrett, Rev. Wright, George Soros, and countless other anti-American mafia cohorts. The list goes on. The plots thicken like the blood clotting on the floor of that restaurant.

It's time to take it back. I will not be happy until I see every damn one of them in orange jumpsuits behind concertina wire fences. People in hell want ice water, too, so I'm not likely to get what I need. Extortion. Now it's legal??? Very clever tool of the devil, the Mafia, and now our government.

The simplicity of straightforward truths of the Declaration is the gift from our forefathers. Obama is nothing short of every tyrannical poser of every failed state in history. The fools who voted for this administration have both purposefully and thoughtlessly sent us into wrack and ruin. The rest of us have petitioned our government for redress and been answered in mocking insults and ridicule for daring to speak out against the lies, hypocrisy, and theft of Obama's Marxist/Socialist/Fascist tyrannical policies. The threats have been made clear to all expose him, from Ken Lewis (retiring CEO of Bank of America), to Humana, to the Chamber of Commerce, to Conservative media.

Obama is afraid of opposing voices. And well he should be. He meets every opposition with the same temper tantrum.....mockery, threats, distractions, and heavy-handed restrictions. He will take away your ability to choose your health care, to heat your home, to own your own business, to turn on incandescent lightbulbs, to travel freely, to educate your children as you see fit, to listen to the voices you choose to hear, on and on and on. He will be brought down. America will not sit still and shut up while tolerating abuse of our Constitution and our freedoms. Bullies, in the home, the schoolyard or the workplace, are no different than tyrants with too much power in government. Bullies with an entourage of sycophants, like Obama has, are called gangs, mafia, brotherhoods of thugs. Eventually, they will meet justice for their actions. People will not put up with oppression forever. Obama will be forever known has the worst President ever elected in America....worse even than Carter, FDR, Wilson....worse for our country than anyone ever put in power.

This will not stand.

I need some solace tonight...some comforting thought that our individual goodness is going to be spared from this totalitarian regime in Washington. The road to ruin has been long fought by some very sinister characters who have taught their bitter ways to several generations of innocent children in America. The biggest lesson they teach is: collective theft is good, individual success is bad. If at some point I find myself lying at death's door and cannot be granted the life-saving grace of some good doctor who knows how to save me, for a year, or a month, or however long....I will know who to thank for sending me to my grave just a bit too early.

On the eve of diabolical actions from Obama's and the Democrat's government, I wondered what comfort can I find to soothe my worried brow. I found some solace here....

The bill is classic national socialist legislation, in that it takes ostensibly private entities, the health insurance companies, and perverts them into instruments of the state, run top-down and barred from competing among themselves."

Continuing on he assures us that, while private insurance companies may still exist for a short time, they will quickly leave the scene. Bunko...Kaput...Gone...Out of business. What motive would insurance companies have to exist? Their profits would be gone. All those employed in that industry would be either unemployed or co-opted by government bureaucrats. The choices they offer would be gone. The doctor's autonomy, which has been already encroached upon, will be totally usurped. The very definition of "insurance" will be gone. As usual, the Marxists have abominated the word "insurance" so that it no longer means what it did. Redefining health care into an entitlement does not equate with "insurance." Government control of your health care is not "insurance." It is totalitarianism and, mind you, without Constitutional authority.

ON THE GENERAL WELFARE CLAUSE

The power brokers in Congress and Barrack Obama are hell-bent on convincing the American public that they have the right to enact health care and energy mandates based on the General Welfare reference in the U.S.Constitution. As usual they are abusing their power, misusing the language of the Constitution to suit their own power greed, and twisting words to confuse an uneducated public to become dependent on the federal government in ways the founders never intended. This is tragic and a travesty against the very core of our basic rights.

The General Welfare reference in the U.S. Constitution was meant ONLY to provide support for the individual States to have national defense and provide a basis for the States to be able to conduct their own affairs. In the Federalist Papers, Federalist No. 14, James Madison wrote this: .. the general [federal] government is not to be charged with the whole power of making and administering laws. Its jurisdiction is limited to certain enumerated objects...[emphasis added] Reference Canada Free Press article In fact, the entire purpose of the U.S. Constitution, with deliberate enumerated powers, is to protect Americans from the exact oppression that the current administration is trying to impose on us. Nowhere in the Constitution does the President or the Congress have any of the powers they have usurped with regard to mandates over-riding the jurisdiction of the States.

So what recourse actions do the citizens have when the federal government becomes Jabba the Hut? At this point I'm not sure if there is recourse. Liberals/Communists/Socialists/Progressives have infiltrated most of the education system and indoctrinated three or more generations of students into the "dependent on government" mindset. 56 members of Congress are proud card-carrying members of the Socialist Party. Both Republicans and Democrats have abandoned the U.S. Constitution for the sake of buying votes and padding their own bank accounts. The corruption is massive. The Constitution has been subverted for decades and the population is now at the mercy of treasonous politicians, whose agenda is not supporting and defending the U.S. Constitution, but solidifying their own money machines and power bases.

Elections come and go. The one true thing you can say is that elections have consequences. Americans need to get smart really fast and figure out how to survive the consequences of tyranny. While we have incrementally been losing freedoms for a very long time, the current administration is wrapping us up in chains and promising to never allow us to be free people again. Your health, your energy use, your ability to communicate, your money system, your ability to move about, your opportunity to buy property, all of this is now being taken away from you and placed under the iron thumb of the federal government.

When Obama said he was going to "transform" America, he wasn't kidding. The question that needed to be asked was, "To what?" Now you know. His answer to all things is domination by federal government in all aspects of your life. The irony is that, because of very clever rhetoric, Obama convinced a lot of people that the transformation was going to return America to its original intent. The people who were fed up with government corruption voted for him thinking they were going to get a more transparent and purely American administration. What we got instead was a Chicago style mafia, complete with Communist thugs, taking over every private industry in our country. A very clever ruse indeed. He could get a Nobel Prize for pulling the wool over people's eyes, if there were one.

Your liberty was guaranteed by the Constitution, not your health care or your energy usage. "The people are the natural guardians of the Constitution," according to Alexander Hamilton. It is now up to us to defend it from the power mad in our government. Call congress and exert your natural rights to defend the Constitution. Tell them, NO NO NO on both Obamacare and Cap and Trade. If we don't stop them, the general welfare for all of us is lost.

SICK OF GINGRICH

Am I the only one who is sick of Newt Gingrich? Tonight he was on Fox's 10:00 pm show with Greta declaring that those who are supporting the independent conservative in the NY senate race are just undermining the real conservative agenda of the Republican Party. C'mon Newt.....like you have much to say on that subject. You are buddies with Hilary Clinton. You have climbed onto the Global Warming hoax. You play the conservative while asking voters to vote for someone who runs as a Republican, but whose agenda is liberal.
I'm sick of it. I'm tired of McCain, Graham, Snowe, Collins, and Gingrich. I'm tired of Republicans who have no loyalty or adherence to the Constitution, but play political games with our lives.

Somebody needs to tell Gingrich and the rest of these Rinos that we are not buying what they are selling anymore. We are done with it. Half a loaf is not good enough. Cherry picking the issues and selling out the rest is not good enough. Get off the stage. We used to respect you.....we don't anymore. Sellouts not welcome.

ART FOR ART'S SAKE

As some of you know, I am an artist. This is how I have made my living in various ways most of my adult life. I love to create paintings that are wanted by collectors. Simple as that. It is a drive to capture a vision on canvas or board in oils or acrylics or watercolor.....something that people would want to look at and buy. I would be painting if there were no buyers. But it's more fun when there are. I've written the article below as my reaction to the recent NEA / Obama administration scandal. And as a reaction to what I see around me with our local art community. Even in our small town in North Carolina, there is a cult fever that has penetrated the art atmosphere. It's pretty sad really.....but here is my article. I am submitting it to our local newspaper as well.

ART FOR ART'S SAKE!

Artists are often stereotyped with characteristics and attitudes such as: flaky, flamboyant, ultra-sensitive, having no business sense, dreamers/visionaries, altruistic, and more. Some of these adjectives apply to some artists in one degree or another some of the time. But all artists are not like-minded and all artists do not carry all of those traits.

Art is a business. It is a business that relies on freedom of expression. To be successful in the business of art, the artist has a fine line to walk between the artistic vision and the business of making a living. Recently a news story surfaced about a well known North Carolina artist named Ben Long who was scammed by a ponzi schemer. Ben is very talented and has had a lot of success with his art over many years. But his story on money handlers is not rare among artists. Having said that, artists are not unique in being scammed. Other people in all walks of life get scammed, too. But this story just adds to the stereotype that artists are too distracted from the practical business realities and are easily taken advantage of.

This stereotype becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy when artists think they cannot handle their own affairs and that it is too hard to make a living with the career of art. This leads artists to become dependent on income streams from government money. Which leads me to the latest scandals with the NEA, propaganda, and whether or not artists themselves are being politically manipulated out of some desire to keep revenue from the government coming into the arts.

There is a place for some public money for art grants. I have no problem with this revenue stream when it means a deserving artist has an opportunity to create something of beauty to adorn public squares or buildings. The problem arises when that public money gets used to promote a partisan agenda and stifles the creation of art for any other purposes.

The Obama administration has made a big push to politicize everything in our lives and the category of the arts is no exception. Recently, the Obama White House sent its manipulators out to co-opt the NEA to promote the Obama agenda. This was discovered through a taped conference call where the White House operative said exactly that. The directive was that the NEA should use its money and clout with the art community to help Obama spread his agenda throughout the NEA chain of affiliates. That chain includes little towns like ours by money grants from the United Arts Council which then trickles down to the Gaston County Art Guild. The idea promoted by the Obama administration is that those grants should now be judged on whether or not they promote the President's political agenda.

In the divisive political climate we are living in today, I am finding that even the art community has lined up on two different sides of life. One side is pro-freedom, including the freedom to express art in unique and individual ways. The other side is pro-government money, including subverting tax dollars to promote anti-freedom, statist policies. How much more divisive can you get than that? And I might add, this pervasive pressure from the statist is undermining the very tenets of the NEA. That is nothing new, but it has now taken on a new impetus to drive artists to the agenda of big government.

Artists have some hard choices to make in this arena. Artistic integrity can be corrupted by politicians' and government's policies. Some artists I personally know are afraid to speak up and are just "going along to get along." They are seriously afraid to say they are against the tyranny of government interference in the arts for fear they will be ostracized from the art community. These artists may find themselves without the freedom to pursue their unique artistic visions once the statists' views are realized or to make a living without corrupting themselves to do it. To be included or not included into local guilds may rest on whether the artist promotes Obama's Health Care, Cap and Trade, Environmentalism, or any of the other causes du jour. Those artists who sell out to conform to this pressure are misusing their gifts for all of the wrong reasons. I encourage them to speak up and protect their rights to create without government manipulation, within or without the NEA.

Consumers of art have a choice to make also. I am hoping that consumers will be aware enough of the situation to seek out artists who maintain their integrity and refuse to participate in the dilution of art for the sake of grabbing government money. It is the true artist who follows their own vision and not that of some forced political agenda. I hope you will reward those artists who stand tall for the sake of their art.

ALLIGATOR PIE

Just to put the smile on your Thanksgiving dinner this year, I suggest we begin serving Alligator pie. I'm not sure how much sugar it would take to sweeten Alligator meat, but I'm guessing it would take quite a bit. You see, there is a connection between sugar and alligators.

In Florida there are an estimated 1 million alligators, which translates to 1 alligator for every 18 people. The alligator was removed from the endangered species list in 1987, after making a huge recovery due to hunting bans. Britannica Online It only took 20 years for alligators to proliferate from the 1967 listing on the endangered species protection to 1987 when they rebounded in great numbers. There are alligator breeding farms in many areas of the south where the critters are bred for harvest, the hatchlings grow twice as fast as in the wild, and the hides are shipped all over the world. In short, there is an abundance of alligators in the American south.

Now to sugar. Last year, Charlie Crist, the governor of Florida, forced the buyout of U.S. Sugar to placate environmentalists. In order to put the "save the planet" feather in his cap, he used taxpayer money to buy out U.S. Sugar, shutting them down in order to return the Everglades to the alligators. A University of Florida study at the time projected three counties would take the major hit, Palm Beach, Hendry and Glades. Palm Beach Post article July 2008 The drop of personal income for those three counties was an estimated $553 million per year, and local, state and federal tax revenue losses would total $127 million per year. This is on top of the taxpayer money used for the buyout; $1.75 billion. The estimated job losses? 8,935 people out of work. Include the ripple effect of supporting businesses and a whole lot of unemployment and subsequent revenue loss is the result. But that's O.K. as long as we have more habitat for alligators.

Supposedly we are importing a lot of cheap sugar from Brazil and Thailand which is squeezing the U.S. sugar producers out of business. But the retail price of sugar is rising, not dropping. We can pay shipping charges on necessary goods that we could produce here instead? Why is the price of sugar going up? What is the carbon footprint of importing necessary products? Could it be that environmentalists are pushing the prices by diverting the use to bio-fuels? Maybe it is the obesity police pushing the prices up? Sugar: the new villain.

Corn is being used for bio-fuels instead of corn syrup. The mass production of corn for bio-fuels has caused increased pollution in the Mississippi River delta. But that's O.K. because it is supposed to be for the anti-oil folks. Cane plantations are vilified for taking up wild lands. Sugar is now the fall guy, along with textiles, furniture, car manufacturers, and tobacco. The farmers are next on the hatchet list because those bad cows produce methane.

Have you noticed that the thousands of Americans who were employed in these industries are the ones who take the hit? Hard working Americans who provide products in our country are being sacrificed for the lofty idea of some do-gooders who think they know better than you how Americans should eat, thrive, work, and live. American industries are, one by one, being decimated by regulatory taxes, undermined by environmentalists, and shut down by government officials who are trying to kiss up to some radical constituencies, not because the goods are no longer wanted or necessary. They are being shut down for some fictional ideology that makes no sense whatsoever.

There is balance and common sense to be gained in the issue of environmental responsibility, but not as long as radical control freaks are manipulating the media and the government.

No pumpkin pie, mincemeat pie, or pecan pie this year folks. It's alligator pie for all, if you can find enough sugar to get that to go down the pipes.
