THE CHIP HAS ARRIVED - OBAMA HEALTH CARE NIGHTMARE

Yep, I said "chip," not ship. Maybe God heard us wrong when we were asking for our ship to come in. Maybe He thought we said "chip." Oh wait...that's Obama, not God. It's just that he thinks he is God and he thinks ship means "chip." Yeah, that's it.
So here we go folks. The ground work is laid and we are all going to have to make some serious decisions. Way back in 2004 MSNBC published this news release from AP....read below.

A tiny computer chip approved Wednesday for implantation in a patient’s arm can speed vital information about a patient’s medical history to doctors and hospitals. But critics warn that it could open new ways to imperil the confidentiality of medical records.

The Food and Drug Administration said Wednesday that Applied Digital Solutions of Delray Beach, Fla., could market the VeriChip, an implantable computer chip about the size of a grain of rice, for medical purposes.

With the pinch of a syringe, the microchip is inserted under the skin in a procedure that takes less than 20 minutes and leaves no stitches. Silently and invisibly, the dormant chip stores a code that releases patient-specific information when a scanner passes over it."

Now you might be thinking, "Oh big deal." You might say to yourself, "Well, that doesn't mean everyone is required to get micro-chipped." Not so fast dodo breath. You have to consider our illustrious Marxist in Chief and his Science Czar, John Holdren. Between the dark and scary Dr. Emmanuel and John Holdren, it's hard to say who is the most sinister. Put the two of them in the same room with The Marxist in Chief and Nancy Pelosi and you've got yourself a horror movie, more horrifying than Alfred Hitchcock could conjure up. Add in there Kathleen Sebelius as Nurse Ratchet and welcome to "One Flew Over the Cuckoos' Nest." But I digress.

Anyway, fast forward to the Health Care Bill we are so deliriously happy about passing. Stuck inside that behemoth of death panels and bureaucratic interference is this cute little clause:

“The Secretary shall establish a national medical device registry (in this subsection referred to as the ‘registry’) to facilitate analysis of postmarket safety and outcomes data on each device that—‘‘(A) is or has been used in or on a patient; and ‘‘(B) is a class III device; or ‘‘(ii) a class II device that is implantable.”

Below is a pdf document from the Ways and Means committee and is included in the House Bill HR 3200 discussing "medical device provisions:

Now you decide for yourself. You could take this to mean certain devices such as pace-makers and knee implants, or you can extrapolate this to mean that the class II or III device that has been approved by the FDA in 2004 is now part of the medical device registry.

Approved by the FDA, a class II implantable device is a "implantable radiofrequency
transponder system for patient identification and health information." The purpose of a class II device is to collect data in medical patients such as "claims data, patient survey data, standardized analytic files that allow for the pooling and analysis of data from disparate data environments, electronic health records, and any other data deemed appropriate by the Secretary."

So I'm reading more on this and finding that in the past few years some experimental projects with micro-chip human implants have taken place here in the U.S. and elsewhere. In Florida some elderly people were implanted supposedly to keep them from wandering off the reservation......i.e people with dementia and alzheimers. In Spain some folks were implanted with chips that held their credit and ID information to be used to enter an exclusive resort. This technology is fast upon us. It is already used to track all kinds of inventory and objects, besides our dear little four footed friends. So I guess our government officials figure we'll get used to it...sort of like we got used to the "progressive" income taxes and the "imminent domain" abuses.

Here is the scenario I can envision going forward. A young mother gives birth to her child and the hospital or attending medical personnel put the chip into the child immediately. The mother is told that the only opportunity for her child to receive medical care in his or her life is if the chip is implanted....and isn't it just so great because everyone will be able to know instantly everything they want to know about the medical history of that child. If you refuse the chip, then the medical community which is now run by the government will refuse to treat you. Period. You want medical care? You get the chip. Amen.

Well, there's one more reason to despise the bill and the people who are forcing it down our throats. Try to stop them....

MILTON FRIEDMAN ON SOCIALIZED HEALTHCARE

Factoid of the day from Richard Baehr:

"It is worth noting that Massachusetts adopted an Obama care plan of sorts, and now has, by far, the highest health insurance premium rates in the country. Massachusetts was not a state with a high percentage of uninsured before their health reform plan was adopted. So they got some more people insured, at a cost of much higher premiums for everybody else."

I would add to that, the citizens of Massachusetts were FORCED into that state run insurance program, just like you and I will be FORCED into Obama's "utopian" nightmare of state run health care.

Today my life feels like a bridge, coming from one generation in time to another generation in time, traveling from some blissful sunny days of freedom moving into some unrecognizable dark fog of restrictive bondage. One side of the river to the other....from eagerly accepted personal responsibilities for my own life and my family, moving into forced responsibilities for some strangers' lives. Not for friends and families lives, but for some unknown diverse group of people who have no connection to me whatsoever. I am being asked to be responsible for people who have no allegiance to the principles I hold dear. Responsibilities to a society that now does not reflect truth, honesty, moral character, nor adherence to freedom and natural law. Today it all seems surreal. Many of the people in my own generation were closeted socialists and anti-Americans and hid their subversive ideas until now....now that a bad election has unleashed the venom of their poisonous hate for freedom. It has been a shock to find myself 3/4 of the way across the bridge of my life to see ahead a very black hole that was being dug underneath the supports of my bridge and nothing but that thick horrible fog ahead. Worse is the thought that my children and grandchildren are heading straight into that collapsing bridge and I don't seem to have the power to protect them from the collapse. I rest my hopes in God for help and guidance.

The only thing I feel I do have the power to do is to unleash my own ability to transfer what knowledge I have and can find to keep them from losing their way. Filling that black hole with better ideas, truth, and hope is all we can do at this point. Clearing away the fog long enough to catch a glimmer of enlightenment from someone who offers wisdom....today I offer Milton Friedman, speaking on the subject of Socialized Health Care. This speech was given at the Mayo Clinic in 1978, but the message is as strong as ever.

GOVERNMENT IS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE GOD / ENTERING HEALTH CARE HELL

Maybe it is the shear egotistical nature of politicians that makes them gravitate to seriously evil plots to control others. I believe that is the case. Today might be a pivotal day in some respects, but the descent into health care hell has been going on a long time. That said, a great deal rests on the outcome of the Obama sales pitch to try to sell Americans into the abyss of Socialized Government Controlled Health Care. We are already almost there. He just wants to put the last nail in the coffin.

As with the economy that has not actually been operating under capitalism for decades, we have not been privileged to actual free market health care for a very long time. Ever since the government set up Medicare and Medicaid, our taxes and insurance costs have been sky-rocketing ever higher due to the subsidization of those programs through our insurance and tax rates. Insurance company profits are at a whopping 3.5 percent. And the governments at all levels are broke, cities, counties, states, and federal. What do the politicians insist is the answer? Double down on subsidization. Tax more. Push insurance rates higher.

Beyond this is the underlying issue of who makes your health care decisions. You, your doctor, or some guy named Ezekiel Emmanuel? What a great guy this Ezekiel Emmanuel is. Brother of Rahm, he has written a treatise called "The Complete Lives System." According the Dr. Emmanuel, the costs of health care are to be doled out based on the productivity of the citizens based on their age group. In short, the government will spend fewer dollars on the very young and those over 50, gradually reducing the amount as people age. His plan gives the most money to those 20 to 50 in order to protect the productivity and taxation of that age group. The major flaw in this plan is that the need for health care dollars is greatest when people grow older. The very young would need health care in order to save them from debilitating problems that could occur in early childhood, but could be remedied. But Dr. Emmanuel's plan would withhold care for those two groups in order to assure the tax base of the working age group. I can't help but wonder who, reading this, would think this plan of his is compassionate or addresses the issues that matter most to those of us who have cared for sick children or parents with health issues.

The insidious plots have already been put in place by the unread, diabolically huge "Stimulus Bill" that passed last year. The Obama administration, along with his socialist cronies, signed into law in that Stimulus Bill last February, 2009, two mandates that could only be rescinded by another congress and another president. These two already passed edicts are as such:

1. Control of medical records and private health information of every person in the United States, and penalize health professionals who refuse to release your personal information. Forget the Hippa form. You have no privacy or control of your medical information beginning in 2014.

2. Control delivery of all health services under the guise of "Comparative Effectiveness Research" and "The Complete Lives System" that decides a person's value based on age. The Federal Health Czar's panel and Federal computers will decide whether or not you are worth the cost of treatment and whether you will be approved to obtain treatment.

The third segment of complete control by the Federal government is Obama's greatest desire..."Insurance Reform," i.e. the take-over of insurance companies. The Federal government will dictate what insurance plans must cover, and what they cannot exclude. Government dictates mean dramatic price increases when insurance companies are forced to give up using their risk-based approach to underwriting, which helps keep premium costs down. The private insurance industry will collapse and, voila, we have nothing left but government run health care. Welcome to Socialized Health Care, brought to you by Barack Obama, written by Karl Marx and previously implemented by Vladimir Lenin.

You've heard the adage that "the road to hell is paved with good intentions." I wonder if, right now, you would consider the adage that, "those who forget history are doomed to repeat it." Socialized Health Care has never worked to improve the practice of medicine or the health of anyone. It completely annihilates the Hippocratic Oath. The only interest of the state is to control who gets what and at what costs. If your interest is "helping the least of us," you have misplaced your hope in Barack Obama and the Federal Government. The only objective of Socialized Health Care is complete totalitarianism and holds no compassion for anything but the power of the state. REMEMBER STALIN and the UKRAINE? TAKE A LOOK AT HR 2749

Update for this entry:
After I wrote this I discovered that HR 2749 had passed in the House in July 2009, but has yet to pass in the Senate under a different name, "Food Safety Enhancement Act." (doesn't that just sound sosoo benevolent and kind??) I have also discovered that this push for control over small farms and herbal remedies has been an ongoing world wide attack under something called Codex Alimentarius. You can search for that name on the web to educate yourself on it. Meanwhile back at the ranch...(ahem) the Obama government and others, including John McCain, are trying to enact this bill to micromanage every bite of food you take, lower dosages for vitamins and minerals, prosecute anyone who grows or sells Rosemary and Thyme, hand over all pharmaceutical business to the global players such as Monsanto (for one) and basically disallow anyone who holds a pen of chickens in their yard to provide eggs for their family. The "organic" label in the market will disappear and be unlawful to produce. If you don't think Lenin, Stalin, and Hitler are alive and well in our midst, you would be wrong. Anyway, you can contact your senators to try to stop them from passing this disastrous monster.

Repeating an often used phrase, "Those who forget history are doomed to repeat it." Our Marxist government with the guidance of the Marxist Obama is now in the process of trying to take away your ability to grow your own food on your property and to completely control small farms. You like the local farmer's market? It is going to disappear and or be regulated so much that the farmers who participate now will no longer be able to do so. What better and more complete way to control the population but to control the food supply? Marx prescribed this recipe for hell, and it was implemented by Joseph Stalin as well as Lenin before him, and Hitler contemporaneously.

So here is part of the bill now in front of our elected officials:

* HR 2749 would impose an annual registration fee of $500 on any “facility” that holds, processes, or manufactures food. (Hmmm...I think I am storing and processing food in my home kitchen. I occasionally make my own bread or jam or salads. Guess I'd better register with the Federal government and hand over $500 buckaroos.)

* HR 2749 would empower FDA to regulate how crops are raised and harvested. It puts the federal government right on the farm, dictating to our farmers. ( I think the Feds have already been doing this to some extent. This just hands the FDA more power on steroids....instead of at the point of market, it is on the private property of the farm.)

* HR 2749 would give FDA the power to order a quarantine of a geographic area, including “prohibiting or restricting the movement of food or of any vehicle being used or that has been used to transport or hold such food within the geographic area.” (You better not drive your SUV to the Farmer's Market to transport that food to your home...the food police are on your tail. Martial law for Farmer's Markets)

* HR 2749 would empower FDA to make random warrantless searches of the business records of small farmers and local food producers, without any evidence whatsoever that there has been a violation. ( You're screwed. Don't even think about taking that pie to the wake of your friend's dead relative.)

* HR 2749 charges the Secretary of Health and Human Services with establishing a tracing system for food. Each “person who produces, manufactures, processes, packs, transports, or holds such food” [Is this not every home in the US?] would have to “maintain the full pedigree of the origin and previous distribution history of the food,” and “establish and maintain a system for tracing the food that is interoperable with the systems established and maintained by other such persons.” (Bog them down with regulations that cannot be possibly adhered to....it's the Marxist way. You will not be able to sustain yourself without collective government force. )

* HR 2749 creates severe criminal and civil penalties, including prison terms of up to 10 years and/or fines of up to $100,000 for each violation for individuals. (Punishment by fiat? Who enforces this? The FDA now assumes the right to implement fines and penalties without judicial review? Are we having fun yet?)

So here is the History Lesson of the Day

Joseph Stalin, leader of the Soviet Union, set in motion events designed to cause a famine in the Ukraine to destroy the people there seeking independence from his rule. As a result, an estimated 7,000,000 persons perished in this farming area, known as the breadbasket of Europe, with the people deprived of the food they had grown with their own hands.

Stalin also imposed the Soviet system of land management known as collectivization. This resulted in the seizure of all privately owned farmlands and livestock, in a country where 80 percent of the people were traditional village farmers. Among those farmers, were a class of people called Kulaks by the Communists. They were formerly wealthy farmers that had owned 24 or more acres, or had employed farm workers. Stalin believed any future insurrection would be led by the Kulaks, thus he proclaimed a policy aimed at "liquidating the Kulaks as a class."

By mid 1932, nearly 75 percent of the farms in the Ukraine had been forcibly collectivized. On Stalin's orders, mandatory quotas of foodstuffs to be shipped out to the Soviet Union were drastically increased in August, October and again in January 1933, until there was simply no food remaining to feed the people of the Ukraine.

By the end of 1933, nearly 25 percent of the population of the Ukraine, including three million children, had perished. The Kulaks as a class were destroyed and an entire nation of village farmers had been laid low. With his immediate objectives now achieved, Stalin allowed food distribution to resume inside the Ukraine and the famine subsided. However, political persecutions and further round-ups of 'enemies' continued unchecked in the years following the famine, interrupted only in June 1941 when Nazi troops stormed into the country. Hitler's troops, like all previous invaders, arrived in the Ukraine to rob the breadbasket of Europe and simply replaced one reign of terror with another.

"In 1932-1933, Stalin was dissatisfied with Ukraine. People didn't want to give up their individual property in favour of collective farms. So a "solution" was found. All food was taken away from villages, by force. People trying to hide even small amounts of food were arrested and sent to labour camps. Trains were monitored so that peasants could not leave. 7 million dead is probably a good guess, though no one will know for sure. In Ukraine, these years are known as "Holodomor" - "slow killing by starvation". It has been called a Ukrainian Holocaust, a genocide."

That's a loss of 3.5 million private sector jobs in one year that Obama ushered in....skillfully and on purpose. Yes, the downward employment trend was beginning to hit during the last year of Bush's term. So was Obama elected to reverse that employment disaster, or was he elected to take the private sector out all together? If you are one of those who thinks Obama actually gives one whit about private sector employment, you are either a fool or completely illiterate. If he has any interest at all it would be to keep enough of the private sector going so he can drain it and use it to prop up his Marxist government. All he stood for was Marxist, anti-capitalist, big government, unAmerican destruction of our country.

I know that most Americans don't go looking around for statistics and graphs to help them vote in public officials who would actually follow the Constitution or who would increase American prosperity. In fact last year, many Americans refused to even look at the history of Obama's character or his records which told the story of who he was / is. (Hell, I wish it were not true, but most Americans have such a lack of understanding of history that they wouldn't know what to compare him to.) But had they looked, they would have seen that the skewed, UPSIDE-DOWN, insane, and anti-American character of the man they were about to elect was right there in front of them. The Marxist philosophy was right there in front of everyone...that is if they watched anything besides MSNBC, CNN, ABC, etc. It was so obvious. So now what do we have? Keep reading....

WHO WORKS FOR WHOM???

And this: One statement from someone commenting on that great article at Red County.com>Red County .com "Soon government employees will outnumber private sector employees and they will be taxed to pay for more government employees. this cannot sustain itself. Chaos will follow which will justify a totalitarian state."

That's the plan, folks. Read it and weep. Or get up and start working against it....hard and fast. Upside-down is not a nice place to be long term.

LOAN SHARK IN CHIEF

How does the mob (as in mafia) get hold of business? Loans, that's how. That is not to say that banks are loan sharks, but I am saying that the game of finance today is being directed by the government....and that banks have been sucked into it because bankers have been controlled by government regulations that have caused the banks to lose solvency. If you want to see how the government creates a weak financial sector there are many examples from which to choose.

The United States was not created to be a bank. The United States government has no business whatsoever granting loans, i.e. student loans, mortgage loans, business loans, etc. Using our tax dollars to prop up certain universities, housing areas, or particular businesses is corrupt. First of all it is being done without the consent of the taxpayers. Secondly it skews the market and inhibits property ownership. Thirdly, it gives government control where there should be none. The entire premise of the government being used as a tool of finance is corrupt. It picks winners and losers depending on the administration in power at the moment. And when defaults on loans occurs, the government steps in and grabs ownership of what used to be privately owned property. This is to the advantage of the government bureaucrats and to the disadvantage of the economic well-being of the people, however it weakens both government and economic prosperity for the people in the process. Instead of "spreading the wealth around," it spreads risk and poverty around.

I say this applies to local governments as well. We have a perfect example here in our county. An entrepreneur comes up with a commercial enterprise, in our case; an Olympic Whitewater Center. The OWC is presented as an opportunity for Olympic atheletes to train and a recreational outlet for people who want to go rafting in a controlled environment. All well and good, but the entrepreneur can't get enough private financial backing to get the rafts in the water. In steps the local area governments to say they will use taxpayer money to back the construction and operation of this enterprise. The excuse is that the OWC will bring tourism and create a healthful recreation activity for all. (Nevermind that "all" do not have rafting on their list of preferred activities.) "All" will pay to get it up and running and the local governments will heavily back this for several years they say, until it becomes financially viable on its own. In the meantime, banks have also backed this operation to the tune of 12 million dollars. I am guessing that the banks were getting some preferential tax reductions in order to back this operation, but I have no evidence to prove that.

Time tells the story. After three or four years, the OWC has not turned a profit, is operating in the red and cannot pay back the loans. As usual with government bureaucrats running the show, everybody loses and nobody wins. The announcement has come recently that the banks are forgiving the 12 million in loans to the OWC. How interesting and convenient. What back door negotiation figured that one out? I honestly don't have all of the particulars in the financial maze set up for the OWC, but me thinks there are some rotten smelling fish in that White Water. The government is still on the hook. Or should I say the taxpayers are still on the hook, but now the taxpayers don't have to pay back the 12 million. Rejoice everyone. We only have to pay back the government backing, not the private bank backing? Hmmmmm....how does that work?

Well, I would think the banks have to make up that 12 million somewhere. Who can just swallow a 12 million dollar loss? Some things have to happen. The banks have to increase their fees and charge more to their customers to make up that kind of a loss. The banks have to get some tax exempt status to help them cover the loss, which in turn the taxpayers end up covering. The government, which takes over the remainder of the OWC costs, now has to charge the taxpayers more to cover the rest of the expenses of the OWC and to make up the difference for the tax exempt part the banks are getting. The local government, for all intents and purposes, either now owns or will end up owning the commercial enterprise that originally was supposed to be a private enterprise, unless they can find a sugar daddy private buyer to take on a failed enterprise.

Again, government is not supposed to be in the business of financing private enterprises. And when it does, it is usually for someone's pet project that isn't even close to necessary infrastructure like roads and bridges.

Moving on to the Loan Shark in Chief: On the Federal level we have seen this government loan situation turn into rotten fish on several stages. One of them is Fannie and Freddie and the Community Reinvestment Act which raped the public of billions in government backed loans that defaulted. The government ended up owning "toxic assets," i.e. lots of housing. And the banks ended up owning "toxic assets," i.e. lots of bad paper loans. Obama sees the banks are failing due to the government mandated CRA loans they made and subsequent derivatives they created to get themselves out from under the bad loans, so he puts the banks on the dole of the taxpayers. Now he is talking about loaning taxpayer money to private power companies to construct nuclear power plants. That way, the government will eventually own the energy from those plants and the taxpayers will pay twice; first for the energy and second for the loans from the government. Barack Obama loves government ownership of all things, so what does he do? He takes advantage of failing car industries and puts them on the dole of the taxpayers. He sees government usurpation in health care, energy, housing, education, all an opportunity to increase the power of the federal government. Who benefits from that? It certainly isn't the private enterprise sector. It isn't individual businesses, as they are paying through the nose to prop up the public sector. Like a parasite feeding off the host, Obama's policies will eventually kill the host, i.e. the private enterprise sector of the U.S. His loan operation is forcefully sucking the breath out of the country he needs for support.

I don't care if you call this socialism, communism, fascism or downright stupidity, all of it is unconstitutional. The United States government, nor the local governments were supposed to become banking institutions, operators of car companies and White Water Centers, or mortgage companies. It just isn't the function of government to do these things. And for those of you who think "a little European socialism" is such a great thing, you should take a good hard look at Europe right now and notice how bankrupt and desperate the EU is becoming. Greece, Italy, Portugal and Spain are all under water and failing due to socialist EU policies. We had a revolution in the 1700's to rid ourselves of financial tyranny by government and to separate ourselves from the oppressive policies of Europe. Why now would anyone think that following the irresponsible financial policies of European socialism would be a sane path to take? Watch out for those government loans and subsidies, folks. You may find yourself with a loan shark in chief at your door.
